Garden Salad with Lightly Blackened Grouper
    Dawn H.

So glad we decided to visit this spot. Very friendly and attentive staff, and excellent food. Generous portion sizes! We ate there at lunch, and it is now 6pm and we are still full! We are only in town one more day, but may try to fit in one more visit. Highly recommend this spot! We ordered a half pound of royal reds (still thinking about these), the scallop platter (huge and cooked to perfection), and a garden salad with lightly blackened grouper (also cooked to perfection). If we go again, I would have a hard time deciding to order something different since everything was perfect. Thanks to the staff for making it a great visit!

We learned of this place from another visitor. We were told from non-seafood eaters that they had THE BEST Mahi Mahi. As a lover of seafood, I felt obligated to try. We ventured there on our last meal. It's definitely a dive and there weren't many people in there (more workers than patrons). Don't let that fool you. Our server was very helpful with allergy items. She also let me sample the cole slaw before ordering to be sure I got the right side. I got the mahi mahi blackened and my daughter had the burger. If it wasn't a drury day, the view would have been an added bonus. My sandwich was HANDS down the best meal of the trip. I've sent a few others this way for subsequent spring break trips and it's always the same response. Hidden gem worth the find!

Here yesterday for the 1st time. Early lunch with my wonderful wife. Michelle. We both had the chowder and the Deep Water Royal Reds. The chowder was wonderful. Very creamy with lots of seafood. The Deep Reds were a new treat for us. Huge and cooked perfectly. Michelle was very helpful. We will definitely be returning

Bar ambiance wasn't welcoming. We only stayed at the indoor bar for a short time, but it wasn't a place that invited you to stay.

The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was attentive, and the food definitely kept us coming back for another bite. Here are our favorites: Hangry Jen Pasta - The name says it all! This dish is huge and easily shareable. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Seafood Enchiladas - Loaded with seafood, incredibly flavorful, and topped with plenty of melted cheese. Cheese lovers will be in heaven. Petite Filet Medallions with Potatoes - The steak was perfectly tender and seasoned beautifully. The potatoes were the perfect complement and soaked up all the delicious flavors. Lobster Bisque - The standout of the meal! Every person at the table took a bite and immediately agreed this was a winner. Rich, creamy, and layered with spices that linger just enough to keep you thinking about your next spoonful. Onion Rings - Crispy, classic, and exactly what you'd expect from a good order of onion rings. Calamari - Lightly battered and cooked well. It wasn't my personal favorite, but everyone else at the table really enjoyed it. If you're in the area, Coco Wood Grill is definitely worth a visit. And if you're planning to go during peak dinner hours, I'd recommend calling ahead for a reservation. We'll definitely be back!

This review and rating has nothing to do with the food or service which I believe to be top notch…read more This review and rating has to do with poor and abhorrent communication. I called on a Monday evening for reservations for 8 people for the following Saturday evening at 6pm and requested the room near the bar. I was told no problem - they could put two tables together for us. She took my name and phone number and all was good. Saturday afternoon at 4pm I received a text from Coco's stating they could not seat 8 people in the bar area - 6 people is the most they can take. I explained what happened when I tried to use their online reservation app and it kept messing up that I called and spoke to someone there who I assumed was the hostess. She asked me for the persons name and I did not remember it (5 days earlier) The hostess on the phone didn't care and again stated that the largest party allowed in that room was 6 people. I asked why she waited until 2 HOURS before the reservation to call me and she said she and the other hostess came in that night at 4 pm and saw the reservations then. I asked her if she could seat us in the main dining room and she said no they could not. This is inexcusable and bad policy to not review reservations in advance in order to notify patrons of an issue. So Saturday night before Fathers Day, 8 people -4 dads-were left to hang out to dry.

Hadn't been here in many years, but wanted to see if it was just as great as before…read more While we had a later timed reservation for the 4th of July, we were able to be accommodated for our earlier 45min arrival at 5pm. They were pretty busy so that was awesome. We were immediately sat in their sushi room, the ambiance a bit outdated. Our server from the get go seemed rushed and distracted, but kindly answered our questions and took our order. Our steak tartar appetizer took a long time to arrive. Sadly wasn't up to par and seemed kinda mushier than any I've ever tasted. It also lacked seasoning, so giving that 2 stars. The accompaniments on the plate helped so it wasn't a total failure but still a disappointment. Their courtesy sourdough bread and olive oil with herbs was good. Our meal also took a long time to arrive. When it did, we had to ask for forks because apparently somebody didn't set the table correctly... and server didn't notice before our dinner service. He should have noticed when bringing out our appetizer at the very least. As for the main entrees, The panko hogfish and garlic mash was good, as well as the picatta sauce, 4stars. The filet mignon kabob with shrimp scampi was disappointing, 1.5 stars. We couldn't tell it was filet mignon and double checked the menu later thinking it was some other cut of beef. The shrimp in itself had a different odd taste. Not the scampi sauce which was good but the actual shrimp. We were not pleased at all with this type of shrimp. While our server glanced over at us several times before the appetizer, he didn't check on us again till about half way through the main course. By then I wasn't feeling well and had my husband flag him down to start our exit service. That took awhile too. 2 stars in service. For what this place use to be like back in the day, I would say the service and food quality have gone down. Today's experience was less than favorable and below average. For the price of the food, I would say we didn't get what we paid for. 2 sodas, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees was $110.. what we got in return didn't match. So to answer the magic question, no, we will not be giving this place our business anymore. Several misses on the food quality and execution made it less than desirable to give this restaurant another chance, especially at this higher price point as well.

Velvety on the inside and the creamy sauce was exploding with flavor. 3rd course was a visually stunning Arugula Berry salad with Citrus Caviar and Balsamic Reduction. For our main course, I got the Lobster Thermidor in a Cognac Cream Sauce and my love got Pan Seared Duck Breast in Port Wine sauce. We also added a Filet Mignon, which was cooked to the perfect temperature I requested, rare-medium-rare. Dessert was a gorgeous Strawberry Tramisu, likely the best I've ever had! Broke N Bored - Name Checks Out…read more We visited Broke N Bored with a group of 6 adults and 3 kids, and after nearly 2 hours waiting for our food, I can confirm the "Bored" part of the name is extremely accurate. I spent most of the meal wondering if the "Broke" part referred to the stove. When we arrived, there was only one other family in the restaurant, so naturally we expected a reasonable wait. Instead, we had enough time to watch the tides change, discuss our retirement plans, and nearly raise the children to adulthood before the entrees arrived. To start things off, we were encouraged to sit outside in the blazing Florida sun. With three little kids, that wasn't happening. The staff did move us inside, but seemed less than thrilled about it. Considering how long we ended up waiting, sitting outside would've turned us into SpongeBob from his out of water movie. Appetizers: * The PB&J Brussels sprouts were fantastic. Unique, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. * The seared tuna was very good. * The calamari tasted good, but apparently calamari prices must be through the roof because there were more fried banana peppers than actual squid. Service: The waitresses were friendly, but drink refills and table check-ins could have been much better. During a two-hour dining experience, hydration becomes a survival issue. Entrees: * The mahi was excellent. * The "pineapple slaw" had about as much pineapple flavor as a bag of plain cabbage. Just call it slaw and save everyone's expectations. * The crab cakes were mediocre and thinner than Slender Man. * The Caesar chicken wrap was okay, but I had to conduct an archaeological dig through the lettuce to locate the chicken. * Fries were fine. * The chicken caprese was decent if you got a bite with everything together, but the chicken itself was chewy and lacking flavor. * Mashed potatoes were dry. * Pulled pork was okay, but nothing memorable. * The Black & Blue burger was decent. By the time our entrees arrived, nobody had the patience left for dessert, so we skipped it. One final note: a restaurant this size having only two high chairs is a bold strategy for a family-friendly beach area. Overall, there were a few genuinely good menu items, especially the Brussel sprouts and mahi, and the staff was pleasant. But waiting almost two hours for food in a restaurant that wasn't busy overshadows nearly everything else. The food was mostly decent. The experience? Long enough to make the restaurant's name feel less like branding and more like a warning.
