Angry Smokehouse is a great BBQ joint, right on the river in B'ville. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival and the friendly staff took VERY good care of us. The food was amazing and the cocktails ROCKED. We started with the brisket tot poutine, which was very good. Chunks of brisket, cheese cubed and brown gravy over a bed of tater-tots. AMAZING! We also ordered a full rack of ribs with slaw and beans, and a "one and done" of pulled pork and mac & cheese. The smoked meats were nicely prepared and well seasoned and juicy. The mac and cheese had a little kick to it, but was very tasty. The beans had a great flavor and chunks of salt pork, absolutely fantastic. Restaurant is very clean and well decorated, the staff is friendly and welcoming. In the warmer months, Angry Smokehouse has outdoor seating on their deck, looking over the river. This was our first time, but not our last.

First time at the Angry Smokehouse and it won't be the last. Met up with some co-workers, um friends?...hmm this is awkward...after work around 430pm on a Friday and the place although small, had no problem getting us a table for 6 at a high top table. The restaurant itself is very nice inside, fresh, fun and new, while providing easy going vibes. The staff was kind, service was prompt, accommodating and they even split our checks for us! I'll also note, even though I left shortly after the band started, they sounded great and in that small space the noise was very well balanced. No need to yell to the people sitting at your table. The food and drinks overall were great. Our table shared a variety of appetizers and I myself also got an entree, The Coma, and to keep this short, most everything was great to fantastic to the lowest score being this is enjoyable. So no complaints, my table favorites were the mac and cheese, fried pickles, egg rolls and The Coma. To highlight the Coma in full, the fries that I ordered with it were awesome and the meats in The Coma were juicy and tender, that's including the next day with half the sandwich brought home! Crazy I know. So, do I recommend the Angry Smokehouse, yes I do, happily. What do I recommend you order? Well, bring a bunch of people who want to order 1 of everything for you to try and you can't go wrong. Enjoy!!

This was my first time visiting Angry Smokehouse. After hearing great reviews about their smoked meats, entertainment, and outdoor dining area, I was eager to visit on a warm day where the music would fill the air. I did manage to make it on a weekend, but unfortunately, I missed the band. No worries, the wonderful service from our waiter made up for anything I may have missed out on. I ordered the brisket sandwich with tots and a side of smoked mac & cheese. My dinner dates ordered smoked sausage and brisket platters. We were all pleased with our entrees. Surprisingly, the small details are what excited us. Their pickled onions and jalapeños were delicious! This is coming from someone who has a strong dislike for anything spicy, I loved the pickled jalapeños and adding them to the brisket sandwich, along with their house sauce, literally took it over the top! I look forward to returning and trying their ribs, pulled pork, and smoked wings (they were out of 2 of these items during my visit) as I have been told they are phenomenal!

This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and is located right on the edge of the canal in Baldwinsville. We got seated quickly and served quickly and the staff is very friendly. The menu consists of the standard BBQ dishes with big portion sizes and everything tastes fresh. You can watch boats lock through while you eat. They sometimes have live music.

First time here and I really enjoyed it. A saloon smokehouse ambiance for sure, complete with a stage for live music. The service was stellar. No asking for refills, the hostess and server were super friendly and accommodating. All the food we had was delicious. No complaints on that! Our favorite sauce for our wings was the mustard based sauce. I usually sauce my ribs but none was needed. The flavor was there.

Went there last Friday. Got there about 6:00. Got seated right away. Our server was helpful and attentive. Started with the fried green tomatoes. Very good. Followed by the baby back ribs. Excellent. Sides were potato salad, Brussel sprouts. Sweet potato fries. All were very delicious! The only thing I didn't like was the cornbread. It had jalapeños in it and I can't do that! That's a me problem. Most impressive thing was the owner serving food and talking to people asking how things were! I'm impressed! I did tell him about the corn bread. He told me at their soft opening, he tried three different recipes. The one with jalapeño won hands down! Oh well, it's me. Definitely give this place a try. I'll be going back for sure. Actually I had to go back on Saturday because I left my CC there! I ordered a brisket samich to go!!! It too was great!

First time doing take out and I guess we will have to stick with dining in. We got a kids chicken tender & fry meal and two of the two meat platters. The platters come with two meats and two sides of choice. I don't even think I can call the chicken tenders, tenders. There were 5 of the smallest little shriveled up pieces I have ever seen. The meat platters did have a large portion of each meat but the sides also were very skimpy. It all tasted great! Definitely not worth $71!

"Birria" tacos, brisket, mac and cheese, side salad

Food was ok, the brisket was dry and almost seemed like it was precut long before being served to me. The Birria tacos just simply we'rent good in my opinion and i wouldnt even call them birria. The salad and mac and cheese were both good. Our server Megan was wonderful and very on point. Atmosphere was very good and there was some nice live music.

12/10 stars!! I came her with my south Georgia husband and best friend. We got the 3 meat platter with brisket, pulled pork and turkey and 3 sides of mac and cheese with brisket, fries and cucumber salad. Let me tell you, the turkey stole the show in the meat department but the other 2 meats were still fantastic! Some places don't get pulled pork right, but they nailed it! The Mac and cheese, I could eat an entire bucket of that delightful delicacy! They bring out 4 different bbq sauces, and one on the table. All different and unique and fabulous in their own ways. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was fun and eclectic! I HIGHLY recommend this place! Well done Angry Smokehouse!

Nice to say that Baldwinsville has a decent barbecue joint. Finally had the opportunity to try this place that I've heard so much about. It was a Friday evening but the wait wasn't long, about 30 minutes. We checked in at 5 PM. Lots of places to sit outdoors and wait for your name to be called. We chose to eat outside because it was a nice night and that's our preference anyway. Ordered a couple of drinks at the bar from a decent sized specialty cocktail list. Went with the.Cherry bourbon cheerwine. The base bourbon is Jim Beam and overall it was a nice "old fashion" type cocktail with muddled fruit. For an appetizer we went with the fried okra. What showed up was hush puppies instead. Our waitress, who was terrific, apologize for the error then rush back to get us the okra. The hush puppies were on the house. They were pretty good. You get 7 on the app. If you like all cornmeal hush puppies, then you will like these. We got the sauce on the side, which was a pleasant tangy addition. The fried okra was good. They were slightly crunchy and you get a good amount in a bowl. They too come with a side dip that added a nice flavor. For the entrée we went with the "two for one". There's a variety of protein to chose from. We went with our servers recommendation, which was chicken and brisket. The chicken was moist and the brisket was cooked spot on. Both were absolutely terrific. This comes with four small cups of various dipping sauce.sauces. From a mustard base to a apple vinegar based to a spicy barbecue and finally a maple, flavored barbecue. Having tried them all my personal favorite was the maple barbecue. You get a choice of two sides. We chose the coleslaw and brussels sprouts. The coleslaw lacked flavor. It was on the dry side too. The brussels sprouts were good. Rather than have the cream sauce on them when they were served, we chose to have it on the side. I think this is a better way to go.

I visited Angry Smokehouse with a few friends, and we all had a great experience! The food was well-seasoned and delicious. I had the brisket, which was tender and full of flavor, really good. Oh, I liked their lemonade lol. My friends also enjoyed their meals, and everyone left satisfied. Our waiter was excellent. She was attentive, pleasant, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy good barbecue.Would definitely come back again!

While it is located in a 1800s-era building, the "saltbox" in its name actually refers to its method of curing more than 15 varieties of bacon, one of the specialties of the establishment at 6152 Barclay Road in Sodus, the former home to the Heluva Good! Country Store. The deli/restaurant is a dream fulfilled for the husband-and-wife team of James and Sara Wheaton. The pair enjoyed spending time together in the kitchen and started cooking for large events such as her sister's wedding. With supporters encouraging them to take their cuisine to the next level, they hunted for a place to house a restaurant for more than a year. Finally, the building off Route 104 struck a chord. The eatery serves as both deli and restaurant. Cured and smoked meats, such as bacon, smoked turkey, pastrami and pork loin, can be ordered on their own from the counter. Bacon comes in 15 flavors including apple bourbon, garlic, maple and horseradish. My wife and I recently stopped into the Saltbox on a whim while in the area, after passing the sign for them many times in between trips to Rochester. Small building, and there were already a couple customers there at right around noon on a Saturday. You order at the counter, then sit at one of the 6-8 tables they have in the nicely renovated building, and they bring you your food. They have daily specials, and this days were burnt ends. We both ordered sandwiches - my wife ordered the "On Top of Old Smokey", a sandwich with smoked cheesy meatballs on a sub roll, with a spicy tomato sauce and provolone, served with chips, and I went with the Steakhouse Sandwich, a sandwich filled with brisket, bacon, spicy pickles, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a roll, and I swapped out the chips for a side of bacon mac and cheese for an upcharge. We also got a 1/4 lb of the burnt ends to try. The dining area filled up quickly, but our food was brought pretty quickly. We really enjoyed our sandwiches, especially the meatballs which had a great flavor. The mac and cheese was bland, but I have yet to find good mac and cheese at a restaurant in CNY. But the star were the burnt ends - absolutely bursting with flavor, straight up meat candy. Wife and I could've made a meal just outta those. The price is comparable to other BBQ places. The service was fine - employees weren't exactly enthused to be there. No one was rude or anything, but we almost got the feeling we were being bothersome to them, but could've been an off day. We would definitely go back to try other stuff, or just for them burnt ends.

Recently, I went for dinner and thought they accidentally handed me the little lunch menu by mistake but no! It's their new all- day menu and it's limited. Side vegetables like their fabulous, broccoli and corn are now gone . In the past, I got the $20 nachos for appetizer and it was large enough to serve four people but not anymore. Still $20 ($19.99); still delicious; but very small serving now. (Could be considered to be too big for one person and too small for two.) Drink special is wonderful. Had a couple of delicious beefeater martinis for five dollars each. Waitress Lena did a nice job. Every time I leave I remember that I did not advise the server of my Bones Club membership. It is an unassuming, cute place run by a husband and wife who fill the space with warmth, friendship and delicious food. We ordered crab cakes over rice and butter crumb haddock over rice. Both were delicious and generous. The crab cakes were flavorful and filling. The remoulade was the perfect accompaniment to the crab, adding a nice hit of spice and acidity. The haddock was perfectly prepared--the butter crumb topping had just the right spicy kick to elevate the haddock to a high level. Both dishes were accompanied by a generous portion of homemade rice pilaf that rounded out the dishes. They were also accompanied by some delicious bib lettuce.
