    Special beef noodle
    Lilian N.

The environment and service is okay, but the food is great! I ordered Small Special beef noodle, and the portion is huge....like XLThere's beef ball, rare beef etc. in this dish, so you can have different ingredients!

20 bucks for a huge plate of lemon grass chicken. Worth the price. The food is definitely above average in terms of Vietnamese food, not the best, but the portion and price makes it a 5 star in my opinion. Highly recommend the place.

came here out of curiousity. this is actually 2nd time we came here. 1st time: hainan chicken+chicken curry roti. 2nd time: goat curry roti+thai tea. food always hit the spot. expensive but i think it's worthed (flavour wise+not that skimpy on meat) . hainan chicken is the best (close to what my mom make). i tried in different restaurant, something is always off. but this place spots on! goat curry roti, the sauce...!! the sauce !!oooohhh the sauce!! soooo mouth watering!!i can keep licking it. lol. it's thick, flavour has a 'kick' and strong...pair well with the roti. roti is bit thicker. other place has it better. but the highlight of the dish is the curry (not the roti...so to me, i dont care even if the dish comes with rice instead of roti). all places i try, curry here spots on! chicken curry is good too, but i like the goat more. curious with other food they have since the two items are the best we have ever tried. will be back....

This is a review for delivery Trust me, your pho will taste a whole lot better if you take the time to re-heat the broth in a pot and add the noodles to the boiling broth to loosen everything before eating. I learned this the hard way when getting Angus Pho House delivered to my place. Finding everything felt hot, I merely took the broth and added it to the Angus rare beef rice noodle soup ($9.95 for small) and tucked in. The noodles stuck together in a clump and the broth went from hot to lukewarm in no time. This is not how pho should be enjoyed. A nuke in the microwave improved things a bit, yet it still wasn't the same. Since we received such a large portion of noodles (with the small being so big, how can anyone get through a large?), I had enough for another meal the next day. After reheating the soup in a pot and adding the noodles (microwaved first) for a quick swirl, everything was so much more enjoyable. Strangely, Angus Pho puts the rare beef into the hot broth instead of laying it onto the noodles when delivering. What arrives are very well-done pieces of lean meat. In the future, an order of plain pho noodles with a grilled protein seems like a better choice. If you really want shaved beef, I suggest opting for a brisket instead, which has a bit of fat to keep it moist. The soup to noodle ratio is also off, there seems to be more noodles than when you dine in but only 70% of the broth so you can't really drink big spoonful's of the hearty savoury bone broth. Indeed, by the next day, there was only about a cup of soup left, I had to dilute it and add salt to stretch enough for another meal. Not a drop was wasted. Surprisingly, the Vietnamese style spring rolls ($6.95) didn't suffer through the delivery process. They were crispy and delicious, just a tad cooler than the scalding hot rolls you'd find at the restaurant. Angus' moist fluffy filling of yellow beans and pork is so delicious. Unless you're vegetarian or going gluten-free, these are a must add-on. While Angus Pho provides a sizeable bag of bean sprouts and Thai basil, my body was craving vegetables so an order of Chinese greens with oyster sauce ($6.95) was necessary. The menu describes these as being stir-fried but it's actually plain boiled gai lan. Luckily, we also ordered stir-fried Chinese greens with garlic sauce ($11.95) and since these were fairly salty and saucy, we could add the plain gai lan into the dish to calm everything down.

The food here was very delicious and flavorful. Especially the daily specials come in good proportions. Worth the cost in my opinion. The server was kind and our food came relatively quick. Recommended, will come again.

Beef Ball & Flank Brisket (S) for $9.95

If you're in North York area, you need to try this Pho spot. I got small beef ball & flank brisket. And large house special (mix of everything). The portion is generous - I mean look at the meat. So good. The broth is also a little bit different than others. More flavorful. The small and large size only differ $1. And I must mention that this place is cheaper than others such as Vietnoms. Compare with the size, I will go here more frequently.

Passed by this many times but first time trying. It's conveniently located but you'll have to try hard to locate nearby street parking or parking lot in a busy area. There's plenty of choices on the menu but decided to try their Spicy Pho Noodles and Malaysian Beef Brisket Curry with Roti. Noodles were looks spicy but wasn't at all. Soup broth could have been hotter as well. Was looking forward to the Malaysian Beef Brisket Curry as this was recommended by a friend however hugely disappointed. The color was nowhere close to the dark and rich one on the menu. The beef was tender but the taste wasn't up to par. Curry was also very watery. Roti was the only plus with that meal. All in all not impressed with this noodle restaurant. Perhaps other menu items may change my mind in the future.

    Thai fish cake

Today was a lazy Sunday for me.. so I decided to order delivery. I've ordered the Thai fried fish cake, I find it lacking in flavour. I was craving for curry fish balls, the curry was not bad but the curry was a bit thick. The fried tofu was very tasty. Just enough flavour and it was crunchy. I really enjoyed this. I've also ordered the Tom yum noodles, it was okay as the soup lacked the spice. I will definitely come back for the tofu and the iced tea!

Came here because I was craving pho. We shared a large bowl of Angus pho along with their App platter (pictures below). Angus pho was so delicious and they know it. No wonder the store is named "Angus pho". Waitress was super friendly and informative. Great service. Cozy location. Prices are reasonable. Kudos for not using pho puns.

Definitely come here for their roti and curry! Love how flaky and flavorful this dish was! Pho was great as well but nothing like WOW it stands out. Staff was friendly and assertive.

    Satay beef rice noodle soup.

3.5/5 I honestly would've given this place 4 stars if the current rating was not 4.5/5. It's a good restaurant, but it is nowhere close to 4.5/5 in my books. However, I would still recommend this restaurant for those in the Willowdale area cause it's probably the only Pho place around here that does the tomato beef brisket noodle soup well. Also mind you, come here only if you're hungry; I was about half hungry and couldn't even finish a small! My dad ordered the satay beef noodle soup. One thing to note, this place isn't truly authentic Vietnamese. The satay sauce they use is more of a Thai style. Also, while I didn't look at the kitchen, the servers were Chinese and Korean. Still, if you like spicy, it's an excellent choice! The beef is also of good quality, both the sliced and the brisket. The noodles, however, were not really silky, which means they're not of the highest quality. There's not too many restaurants that offer the silky kind nowadays (Kim Po Scarborough is the only one that comes to mind), but the smoother the texture, the better the noodle in my opinion. Service was polarized. The male server was very good, however the female server was poor in the sense we had to mention the order to her three times, then when we asked that we wanted the bean sprouts cooked (raw sprouts aren't good for you as they aren't washed), she didn't know what we were saying. Overall a decent restaurant, but not the 4.5/5 rating Yelp currently has.

It's very quaint and pretty standard for the area, nothing flashy, just a simple neighbourhood restaurant. We went on a Friday around 11:30 AM and were the only table there, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. We ordered the bún bò Huế and the pad thai. Both were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. They did the job, but neither dish really stood out enough to make me crave a return visit specifically for them. That said, this is very much a no-fuss kind of place. Prices were on the more affordable side, around $15 per dish, which is always appreciated in Toronto. The atmosphere is casual, the service was straightforward, and the food came out without much of a wait. Overall, it probably wouldn't become my go-to spot, but as a vegetarian-friendly option in the area, it's a solid and easy choice if you're nearby and looking for something simple.

I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!
