    10% cash discount. Not bad.

The bbq grill restaurant offering REAL charcoal cooking that impressed from start to finish. Quality meat and striking presentation make each dish feel special. The food were real treats: smoky, good-seasoned, and grill to your personal choice of perfection (see my photos for examples). The meal extended delightfully into dessert with perfectly torched grilled marshmallows by yourself at the table. The servers are friendly and helpful. The lineup and ordering systems were prompt and efficient. Ambience is lively, with a fun street view from the second-floor windows and a buzzing interior that adds to the experience. Practical perks include complimentary small appetizer dishes, snacks & spice bar, tangerines, dessert with milky popsicle + grilled marshmallow (would be fantastic if it was S'mores, LOL), free parking, and at fair pricing with 10% cash discount (not 5% and it's rare these days...), all delivering excellent value for the quality served. It's easy to see why there are early lineups even on weeknights. Overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Good experience. Flavorful, well-executed, and consistently satisfying. Highly recommended. A definite winner for anyone who loves charcoal-grilled cuisine, particularly with real charcoal but not merely with gas fire.

Located on Yonge just south of Church street. There is a small parking lot and plenty of street parking around Use google site to save yourself a spot in line to minimize the wait The food here is influenced by China's north eastern province. The meats are fresh and flavourful. The bbq is charcoal powered for that extra taste! The shop is well laid out on the second floor with plenty of space to walk and move to get your sauces and extra goodies. There is an elevator up and aisle are plenty wide but the washroom may not be as kind to anyone in a wheelchair. The prices are competitive and enjoy the final marshmallow treat to toast up

The BBQ game in the city has definitely stepped up in recent years, and Meat AA7 is a top contender with its charcoal grill. They have a sauce station where you can create your own dipping sauce, but we quickly realized the meats were so well seasoned that we barely needed it. The corn cheese came out on a sizzling plate, keeping it hot and perfectly melty. It had a great cheese pull and made for a sweet and savoury appetizer. The beef platter offered a solid selection of cuts with nice marbling, a tender chew, and was more than enough for two people. The squid was one of our favourites, as it provided a nice break in both texture and flavour between all the fatty meats. It was light and had a great bite. The lemongrass dai style beef was excellent, with meat that was deeply and evenly marinated. The sweet sausages also worked well as a great palate cleanser, balancing sweet and savoury notes. We were really happy with our choices since they made the overall experience feel well rounded and enjoyable. By the end, we were completely full, but not in the uncomfortable, regretful way. To finish the meal, they give you marshmallows and strawberries on skewers. You can roast the marshmallow over the charcoal, dip it in the chocolate fountain (or do both). The strawberries dipped in chocolate were so good that we wished we had asked for more. They also let you choose a popsicle, either milk or banana ice bar. Both were a great way to end the night, though the banana was my personal favourite. Overall, great service, great vibes, and it gets busy quickly for good reason.

Great charcoal BBQ spot on Yonge/Finch area where you cook the meat yourself, which makes the experience fun and interactive. The lemongrass beef was a standout -- tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. All the other meats we tried were also high quality and packed with that smoky, charcoal flavor. Portions come with side dishes, and the menu has a nice variety, so it's a great place to come with friends or family. Service was fast and friendly, and we never felt rushed to leave, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, perfect for a relaxed dinner. Overall, an easy 4/5, and I'd happily come back for another round of DIY charcoal grilling.

Visited this authentic Chinese charcoal BBQ spot and had a great experience overall. The restaurant is located upstairs, so you'll need to take the elevator to get in. There was a decent selection of complimentary side dishes you can choose despite size of the place. I ordered the late-night special beef platter, and the quality of the meat really stood out. The cuts were well-chosen, flavorful, and grilled beautifully over the charcoal. To top it off, you can roast marshmallows at the end of the meal, which was a fun and unexpected way to finish. A solid choice for a satisfying and interactive BBQ experience, especially if you're coming later in the evening.

I'll be honest. I thought we peaked with Japanese bbq. Shinta. Gyubee. But then came INDOOR CHARCOAL GRILLS. Where you PICK FROM A HOT POT SAUCE BAR. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN SAY? Come here now. Not on a Friday or Saturday night. You will give up your girlfriend for it.

My experience here was a solid 5 star. Really good food, fast service, and overall great vibes. The meat dishes were all super tasty and fresh. Grilling on the charcoal grill was fun and easy. They changed the plate quickly before anything stuck on or before they needed to really. The sauce bar was really good. I love their soy sauce whatever they use , I don't know how it tastes better than other places we tried. Seriously love their sauce bar here!!!! You can also get drinks from the fridge or a tall beer dispenser to drink beer with friends. The ventilation is amazing here and I literally don't smell like I went to a Bbq place at all. No traces of smoke or meat in my hair. You finished the meal off by roasting marshmallows, which was super fun. I also heard their rice dishes were delicious so that's next up on my list. After finishing dinner here, I wanted to come back the next day. That's how good it is.

I love that smoky char you can only get from real charcoal and that's exactly why I keep coming back to Meataa 7. Every cut of meat was fresh, and well-marinated. I also really like the cheese corn here The staff were super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The ventilation is great too so no heavy BBQ smell on me after the meal, which is a huge plus. I also love that they're open late and have late-night deals. Perfect for late-night cravings or when I want that charcoal-grilled experience without the lingering BBQ smell.

First time visiting here as there was always a long line up for this restaurant. (Now I understand why!) Birthday meat cake was absolutely worth it (It comes with a candle). The cake consists with beef & pork, so it was pretty good portion too. We also ordered assorted veggies that I really liked (forgot to take a picture haha) Inside was decorated like a market in northern part of China, so it felt like we're traveling somewhere in Asia :)

I love the experience of table bbq, and this place was an enjoyable experience. It can get pretty chaotic inside and there isn't that much room to operate, so me ready for a lively atmosphere and to be close to your neighbor, especially during busy times. The charcoal experience was interesting. Hot coals are provided at the beginning of the meal for you to cook on. This will naturally generate some hot zones and cooler zones, so your grill master will need to observe and cook accordingly. Additionally, the coals will cool over time, and there is an additional cost for more coals. The food itself is tasty, but definitely on the pricier side. The beef platter for 3 was a great way to try a few different cuts. The vegetable platter was pretty visually appealing, but some of the veggies could take a while to cook. The make your own sauce bar was a nice way to customize your experience and switch up flavor profiles. Switching between a spicy dry mix and a dipping sauce was very convenient.

Cutest grill house ever! I love the vibe at this place, makes me feel like I'm back in Asia! They have an amazing venting system, so no you will not feel like you're suffocating! Price is fair, and the meats are fresh! This place is a la carte, therefore things can add up if you're going for a variety! Note: 1. There is a $3.99 charcoal fee added to the bill/ table 2. 10% off the bill if you're paying by cash (not applicable to drinks, specials, charcoal fee) 3. Membership can be bought for $39 (includes 12 free beef vouchers, five 20% off coupons when paying with cash, parking validations, birthday promo)

Went after a concert and everything was so good! Our servers were really nice and attentive to when we needed to change our grill. Food was really good and there was a good variety of options to choose from. The fried rice was a table favorite. All the meats were good as well. The DIY sauce bar was clean. Loved that there were cuties available to eat as part of the sauce bar. Place is clean and there were plenty of tables but it is a bit cramped. Small parking lot out front.

First charcoal grill in Toronto. Opens late til 2am i believe. Meat quality is good and the platters have a lot of variety. Saw that they have late night specials too. Now the line can be long on weekends. Its not ayce but 2 hour seating limit.

However, the menu was hard to read. The service wasn't super friendly - I almost felt like they were hoping we didn't dine in so they can focus on take out orders. We were the only 2 people that were waiting for their dine in orders and the food felt like it came out slow. The ambiance was quiet. Lots of empty seats. Lots of seating is available, including comfortable 4-6 person booths. The only downside is that parking right on Yonge is very limited. The menu has expanded beyond katsu to include pizzas, wings, udon, and tteokbokki. The katsu was excellent with its light, crisp batter, and the special set came with a great variety of sides plus both rice and a small bowl of udon. The pizza and wings were also fantastic--we ordered the half-and-half pizza with the signature shrimbul (highly recommend if you like a little heat) and Korean bulgogi. The wings were flavorful and delicious as well. Service was decent, though we docked half a star because some drinks on the menu weren't available (only 2 out of the 5 beers listed). That said, we still had a great experience overall and will definitely be back!

Currently soft opening, and they just got their LLBO license (yay!) My friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday as a group of 12. They split us into 2 tables of 6, which makes it easier to manage the orders. Here are some items we enjoyed at our table: - A silky soft blanket of scrambled egg with lobster - Mapo tofu pappardelle - Vietnamese style fried chicken wings - Sashimi-grade salmon ceviche - BOGO cocktails or drafted beer Cons: I had REALLY high hopes for the salted egg yolk tiramisu since everyone talked about it on social media. But it didn't turned out the way I had imaged it to be because I love saltiness and sweetness together! The salted egg was not prominent, and unforunately, it made the mascarpone cream grainy and not smooth like it should be. The mango sticky rice also needed a level up. The mango was definitely not in season (end of October), not sure who ordered it at my table lol. The sticky rice had no flavour - we did not end up finishing this dessert. Overall, great spot to hangout and drink with friends. I understand that the restaurant is still very new, and there are still kinks to work out. I truly hope that they will continue to grow and do well :)

The spice was delicious but it includes whole red chili's, which were a little over the top for hotness. Second was the Skewer Platter ($24.99). It was chicken knuckles, beef, pork. Good but lacked any real quantity of protein & was disappointing. Finally the last was the Yang Zhou Fried Rice ($15.99). This was the best of the dishes & the only one we fully finished. Service was good & fast but there was a mild language barrier. The menu itself was only available online so we missed some subtitles of said menu. We were the ONLY customers in the restaurant when we arrived. This is more traditional Korean Food & was definitely NOT to our liking. Mostly it came down to what we thought vs what we got.
