Their curry with naah bread taste really good That's what we usually order, I remember their pho was also great (ordered that before covid).

Gem of a restaurant listed in a small mall called Richlane, unfortunately half the shops appear to be closed/out of business. Tuesday afternoon and the restaurant was full so I knew I made the right decision. Food portions are very generous. The beef satay noodles were excellent, peanutty & slightly spicy soup base, tender slices of beef with perfectly cooked noodles. Curry beef brisket was tender and abundant with a huge side of crispy roti, so much I needed to take half of it home to enjoy. Highly recommended if you're a beef satay aficionado.

Pho and other Vietnamese dishes are common. This place has some rotis - Malaysian food is rarer! They used to do more types of stuffed roti pratas/canais (murtabak) but now they only do this for shrimp. And they have no more pork rotis! Curry beef was good. It tasted legit - like how Chinese-made Malay-style curry should. There was a lot of beef in it. The rotis (which come with curry) are huge portions. They are crispy, but on their own they are bland (blander than roti canai/prata should be). With the curries they are alright though. Shrimp roti (murtabak) was bland on its own like the normal rotis. It had egg as well as shrimp inside which was nice. It was pretty big., but not as huge as the plain rotis. Curry beef brisket noodles were decent. Basically noodles in a diluted version of the roti curry. Tom yum spicy beef noodle soup was ok. It was quite spicy & had an ok flavour. The noodles were huge bowls.

An absolute hidden gem. Every time I stop by Markham, I always try to swing by here. The prices and portions are reasonable. You MUST get the curry beef brisket and naan bread combo and their crispy chicken wings. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of the wings because they were snagged so quickly! The curry beef brisket curry is Malaysian influenced and naan bread is plainer than your typical but paired together. I would skip the Vietnamese dishes. Service is kinda spotty. At peak lunch hours, the restaurant is crowded. So don't expect that much walkable space to navigate to the washroom.

This one is the satay beef.

Was waiting on a doctor's appt... and decided to walk around to see what to grab for lunch. Now there's only about 4 restaurants in this small mall. And it happens to be my fav cuisines : Korean, BBQ, Viet and Chinese. So we opted to try the viet restaurant because we saw the giant banner that was promoting their popular dishes which included a Satay Beef noodle dish and a Spicy Beef Noodle soup. I tried Satay beef noodles once and that was at the Train "Pho Xi Lua" on spadina and that soup was soooo thick/yummy... I was curious to know if this place was the same. So what is amazing about the two noodle soups, were the portions. The large can for sure serve 2-3 people easily. The verdict on the Satay Beef.... well let's just say its quite flavourful. The tastes is more curry based with peanuts. The broth was not as thick as Pho Xi Lua, but it did hit the spot. The noodles are the flat pho looking noodles. Was not that spicy at all. I saw the other table that ordered the curry beef with roti and it did look quite similar to the Satay beef lol The verdict for the spicy noodles...not that spicy as well. :( The noodles were the round ones that look like rice noodle spaghetti. The taste was average, felt like chilies paste with water as broth. Nothing too amazing. Overall was filling and big portions. The price is quite fair as well. Pretty surprised.

This restaurant is located inside an enclosed mall and the stores/ restaurants here close early. So do not be surprised if you find this mall a bit deserted on weeknights. I came here after my friend gave us the recommendation. I had the pho special large. The soup broth is flavourful and noodles were good. The pho here isn't bad and I consider it to be one of the better ones in Markham. If you ever have a craving for pho. Check this place out!

Average quality and service. Not too bad but not outstanding. The environment is almost the same for over 10 years.

You will be really surprise how busy this place can be during lunch hour. They specialized in Vietnamese beef soup noodle and curry. I always order either the small size Tom Yum beef noodle soup or if I have 2 person then we will share a medium size. The broth is really favoured, not salty. Their small size is equal to a medium at other restaurants. Service is fast and prompt! And the price is great! BTW, no lunch special... is the same menu for the whole day... Please don't sit near the little opening where the wait staff pick up the food. You will have a view of the kitchen..(which I prefer not to see). CASH only!

I really love the soup noodles here. My go-to favourite is the ox tail lemongrass soup noodles. The chicken and rice here is also delicious, and so are the curries. Very affordable restaurant, with a good mix of Vietnamese and Thai-style food. Service is curt, but quick. It is not a fancy place, but definitely good for a casual hangout, with great food at reasonable prices.

2.8 /5 I frequented this place a lot but haven't been back for so long. I was told the quality and portions have declined but decided to see for myself. I went on a weeknight and right away I felt the business has declined it used to be pretty full even in the evenings I think we were 1.5 hrs before closing which was at 9pm we usually get the stir fried vermicelli with grilled chicken and a Pho but the kitchen said that they couldn't make it the stir fried just the regular, bummer. So all in all the portions are smaller but more important the taste was different my tastebuds were not satisfied, better and cleaner Viet placed around.

Tucked in Richlane Mall, this restaurant has been around for a while, serving adapted Malaysian / Viet / Thai dishes. The portions are big, but the price is not exactly cheap. A regular bowl of pho is served in huge bowls and its not uncommon to see a group of 2-3 with their tables full of plates. My dad remembered this place serves up decent malaysian curry. The portions are huge, but the sauce lacks some spices and depth and is a little runny. I was looking for some heathier options and the only 2 veggies dishes is yu choy in oyster sauce ($9) and stir fried green beans in balachan sauce ($15). Knowing the price of my veggies, I wouldn't pay $8 for a plate of blanched veggies. The stir fried green beans did not disappoint. The balachan toppings are crispy, delicious, and the dish comes with 8 large shrimps. Much better ingredients for the price. Also ordered the lemongrass meats (chicken and pork chop) ($12). Tastes amazing, and not expensive for the amount and quality of the meats. If you're trying to reduce carbs, consider getting this instead of the regular pho or the lemongrass meats served with rice. It is large enough to share with a small group.

Just a few quick notes before the food part of the review. It's World Cup time and the servers were very preoccupied with trying to get the game on the tv. You have to ask for napkins. Compared to other Asian restaurants the service here IMO is slightly worse. They don't have a big restaurant but the service is slow so it makes it harder to overlook. I came here with my partner and her parents. My partner got the pig feet soup, which from my guess was their version of Bun Bo Hue. Obviously I couldn't tell because the menu is in English and Chinese and didn't obviously say Bun Bo Hue. I got the oxtail soup. First the "Bun Bo Hue" the soup was basically spiced water. The broth didn't retain any of the flavour of tomato that a traditional soup should have. But if we're saying it's not Bun Bo Hue the soup is still on the thin side as the flavour of spice is the only thing that you taste. My oxtail soup was significantly better. The flavour of the spicy blends well with the lemon grass and creates a more complex and pleasing flavours. The oxtail is tough but is sliced thin so that you're not trying to gnaw on a huge tough piece of meat. My overall impression is that the food is decent but not anything that's going to impress you or make you come back unless it's convenient. We got other food like spring rolls and chicken wings as well but I feel like the contrast between my partners and my noodle dish highlights the inconsistencies of the restaurant. Unfortunately this restaurant's food would not bring me back and the service is what it is.

Originally I was going to try Dickens cafe however they were only offering a set menu for Christmas dinner and I didn't feel like eating their set menu and therefore stumbled upon this place which had no lineups. My favourite dish was the beef brisket curry with roti and lets just say they don't skimpmout on the meat at all. The brisket was delicious and love the roti as well. Price wise it was in the higher end but I would say the portion size is good for two three people for $14.99. Another dish I got to try and really enjoyed was the Vietnamese style laksa which had egg and vermicelli noodles. The flavour was delicious and I really enjoyed this dish so no complaints. If I ever come back I would def try the pho dishes.

Recently came back w/ my parents as this has now become one of their de facto go-to's for viet food in Richmond Hill along w/ Ngon Corner (replacing Green Lemongrass). They are SOOO busy now as they have a loyal student customer base during the school months (conveniently being right next to Bayview Secondary). They run student deals as well as lunch specials. On this visit, I opted for curry beef brisket rice as my mom told me that she tried it w/ my dad and they vouched for it. The curry was quite flavourful and there were a LOT of big brisket chunks running through the curry so I was pleasantly surprised. Got an additional iced lemon tea for no extra charge which was so awesome! The staff recognize my parents now because they've been going quite regularly lately lol. It's flavourful, both fatty and lean, tender, juicy... basically perfect for the grill. There's an option to add an egg, which I skipped. The dish comes with a small salad drizzled in balsamic vinegar, plus some pickled daikon radish and carrots. A small dish of sweet and tangy fish sauce is included too, perfect for pouring over the rice. Fantastic flavors all around. I cleared the plate and would definitely order it again, though they have a lot of other dishes I want to try too. They're currently running a promo where you get a free drink with any order! Not advertised anywhere (from what I saw), they just casually mentioned it after we ordered. The iced lemon tea was refreshing, with sliced lemons on top, and served in a large cup, which I highly appreciate. Not one of those tiny takeout ones that's gone in a few sips. Service is very friendly. Lots of free parking. Just a heads up, they only accept debit or cash.
