Came for a Sunday lunch on a rainy day, as I was craving a bowl of hot noodles. I ordered the beef tendon pho, which I appreciated being an option as it is sometimes hard to find. The beef tendons were tender and soft, and paired so nicely with the flavourful broth and soft noodles. My partner got the lemongrass pork and liked the dish. Pho broth is pretty flavourful. Good quantity of meat but they are very lean so it's a bit tough. We also ordered the vermicelli with spring roll and grilled pork. The spring roll was a bit over fried, and the pork was a piece of thin pork chop cut up. A little dry, but flavour was there. So I will try to keep this review short and to the point. My other half and I visited this place, and given the current restrictions for dining out - We did see that this restaurant is following the rules exactly. Only 10 people were allowed for dine in, and they did stick to these rules which we appreciated. Service was friendly enough, and the environment and décor hasn't changed since the last time we were here - Things were still neat and tidy. This place does try to be "different" from your average Pho place, and their menu does reflect this (and their prices). Unfortunately the prices have also seemed to have increased significantly as well. For example, a small bowl of pho starts at $14. I honestly have not seen a pho place charge this much for a bowl of pho within the GTA area. Prices were quite steep, and don't get me wrong I have no issue paying more for a meal, but given the price point and what was provided.....well lets just say there is room for improvement. I ordered the Khao soi, and the bowl was basically a "small" when compared to any other noodle place (be it ramen, pho, Chinese). The ingredients did not stick out to me at all what so ever. The mildly annoying thing was that half way into my bowl I found a whole slice of lime inside of the broth. Generally pho places would give lime, or bean sprouts on a separate plate, but apparently mine was all in the bowl. While this is not unforgivable, it is a minor blemish with many other little things that just kept detracting from the over all experience. At the price point of $14, for a small bowl of noodles I would hope there would be something different. Perhaps organic, free range Chicken - Fresh noodles made on the day of or something else. It was a "good" bowl of noodles, nothing more nothing less. No tea is provided, only water or other drinks that cost a bit more. One bowl of khao soi noodles, one vermicelli bowl and one appetizer came out to a grand total of $50 including tax and tip. While the food and service itself was decent, its just too disproportionate to the price that I unfortunately cant recommend this place to anyone in good conscience. I'm sure there will be those that love this place, but unfortunately I am not one of them. At certain price points, I would just have higher expectations to justify the increased cost. read more

One of our go-to pho places in Vaughan! The broth is super flavourful and fragrant as they prepare it overnight. The delicious broth is what draws us back every time! Also love that it doesn't get too crowded and tables are nicely spaced out. A bit more of an "upscale" pho experience compared to many other chains with a higher price tag for a bowl of pho but worth it in our opinion! Perfect on a cold or rainy day. Comparing to other pho place, this place is quiet expensive so my first impression wasn't good when I looked at the menu. Menu is very simple, no photos at all. Mango salad- it's so good! They pan fried onion and mix with fish sauce, then mix with the mango. Also come with shrimps too. It's a good beginning Vermicelli- portion is similar to other restaurant. BUT! The beef is different! They actually use tenderloin and it taste good. I can tell why the price here is more expensive. The cost is more expensive, the quality is high Pho- I would say it's over priced because the portion is small, enough for a lady for sure but not for a big man. Could be an L or XL with the same price from another Pho place THE BEST Pork Belly sandwich!! After trying different dishes, I would give it 4/5, but when I had mu first bite of this....I was amazed! I had: - Beef Pho: good but lacks the pungent, flavour-packed broth of a place like Pho Tien Tranh - Chicken Fried Rice w/ Salad: the rice was great, but not worth $14. Nice little place, with cute decorations and interior design. The staff are very friendly, and patient. When we came there a was a few other people and as we ate dinner, more and more people showed up. I guess we were early. The menu had a wide selection of dishes including clay pots, which I would like to try next time. Didn't try the pho but got the Khao soi and it was not bad. They had the crunchy noodles on top and several toppings including cilantro (generous amounts, which I love), and carrots. The soup was not quite spicy, but did have the coconut flavor. Came here for lunch on a weekday. Restaurant was more than half full and I noticed patrons were mostly non-asians. Also noticed the restaurant decor was very nice (more upscale feel) and the place was very clean so maybe that's their niche ? A nice clean "western" appealing pho restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pho restaurant which I just quickly found on Yelp while in the area. The plaza it's in is not the nicest, so I didn't have high expectations. This is right by our place and because of the limitation of opening times. We've had a hard time going to try. During covid, only open from 11am-4pm, which is essentially lunchtime. Closed on weekends, makes super difficult to try. We finally had the opportunity to try on a day off. First off, there aren't that many options which is great. I'd rather places have fewer options but do an amazing job on the few items they have. This place is exactly that. The pho broth was delicious, bold but not too salty, fresh noodles too. Nam use to have fresh noodles but not anymore. Hence, I stopped going there. Also ordered the Bo Bun Hue, probably butchering the spelling but that was also very good. Love the fact they use stone pots to serve to keep the broth hot even when it gets to your table. Overall, this is one of the best for my standards. I have been to many Pho restaurants in Vaughan but must say this is one of my favourites in the area. Food was great and staff was very friendly. For appetizer I had the mango salad with sautéed shrimp. It was a decent size portion that is shareable. For my main I had the sautéed beef tenderloin over white rice. The tenderloin had a nice seasoning to it and was excellent. The menu had many options with many interesting combinations that I would be interested in trying. I will definitely go back. read more

I just have the most expensive Pho in my life at Pho Real. Seriously, $11.50 for a large which is the size of medium else where? But the quality of the ingredients, the care they put in preparing their dish, the taste, the depth of the broth, the texture of the noodles: well worth the price they are charging! The sliced tenderloin was thick and the taste of beef was intense.... I though was disappointed with the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi ($8.50). I love the side salad which is a mixed salad with romaine, mango, pickled shallot, cherry tomato and pomegranate. The chicken though was way way too saucy and tasted more like it was deep fried. Love the dessert selection which includes dessert with french influence and house made durian gelato! Durian Gelato made in house?!! I would just come back to try that!! And of course I am eyeing the 7 Courses of Beef Menu 2 person for $38 or 3 person for $45. Grilled Fish (rainbow trout) for $18. I guess I need to bring a Yelp friend or 2. Pretty steep for a bowl of pho but the quality can't be beat. Their broth comes out piping hot (which I like) and it has a very strong and authentic flavour. The spring rolls are delicious and it comes with a unique mango dipping sauce. The meal always ends off with frozen grapes which can be pretty addicting. Time and time again, I find myself coming back here. The beef to noodle ratio is the best I've found and the broth is always spiced just right. My go to order: Start with fresh rolls and seafood spring rolls (the fish sauce that comes with the spring rolls is amazing. I love the bits of mango and onion added for texture) P3: beef pho with beef balls and of course, YOU MUST get the Vietnamese iced coffee. It's strong, and creamy with condensed milk. I used to like this place but recently I think I may never come back. I ordered the Khoi soi and specifically mention no cilantro. So it came and of course there are tons of cilantro and I had to pick everything out. (On two occasions actually...) The cashier computer wasn't working and I stood there for more than 5 min to wait to pay and eventually there were few people lining up..... Menu: What is special about their menu you don't normally see is their pot rice. Aside from that, the menu is more or less what you expect from another Vietnamese restaurant. The prices are significantly more expensive than other similar restaurants. However, since there isn't much competition, the prices are justified as there was a line of people. I ordered their pineapple fried rice with their large beef pho. At first glance, the portions were much smaller than I expected. However, the quality definitely makes up for it. The fried rice was crunchy, not too oily and well cooked. Their large beef pho had an amazing broth with a decent amount of toppings. They also offer complimentary frozen grapes to help rinse off any fishy taste after dinner. Amazing! Service: Excellent. The waiters are very attentive and quick to answer all questions or concerns. Atmosphere: Bright, vibrant. Very nicely renovated. A very warm atmosphere which compliments the food quite well. Overall: 4/5 . This is somewhere you want to go to enjoy good Viet food. The food here is alway fresh with quick and attentive service. You can't go wrong with any of their spring rolls or soups. This time I had the beef soup, with delicious broth, noodles and tender beef. It was as authentic as can be, hot and delicious on a cold wintery day. This was our first visit to Pho Real and I have to say we were really impressed. We were greeted the second (literally) that we walked in the door and shown to a table. The restaurant was bright, nicely decorated (quite contemporary) and very clean. The server was extremely friendly and far more attentive than at the average Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered 3 dishes and 2 drinks and they were delivered in pretty good time. The iced coffee with condensed milk was one of the best we've had, and we've tried MANY. The fresh lemon juice with soda and sugar was also very good. I had the crispy rice claypot with beef tenderloin, lemongrass and sesame. It was served with pickled daikon, carrot and cauliflower on the side. It was delicious. The rice was nice and crispy on the bottom, the beef was very tender and tasty and there was quite a bit of onion and scallion oil as well. My husband had the pho with tendon and tenderloin. The broth was delicious and there was plenty of protein added. They advertise that the pho is made the traditional way with a very slow cooked broth and that was evident in the taste. Our son had the pad Thai. It was one of the best he's ever had. It tasted very authentic with just the right balance of salty, sweet, sour and spicy. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The washrooms were very clean and well-kept. The prices are a bit higher than most Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but I'd say the food is well worth it. We will definitely be going back to Pho Real in the near future to try some of their other dishes. read more

One of my go to spots for vietnamese food, clean modern decor and solid service.. The food is very fresh and authentic vietnamese and feels like they don't use MSG or as much similar to other places.. I've tried their broths for Bun Bo Hue and the Pho it's all really clean tasting broths. It's a tad bit more expensive then your traditional vietnamese spots but your paying for a more modern setting / cleaner spot. Love the flavour of pho! It is a smaller bowl than you get usually at pho and the flavours are all slightly different than traditional pho stores. What a great pho restaurant. Honestly the best I've been to. We've been here twice and both times the level of customer service has been amazing. They're always watching to see if you need more tea and very friendly when taking your order. Plus you get these frozen grapes as a healthy desert after your meal! I had the Pad Thai which was fantastic! The onion slices were a bit big. But flavour wise it's amazing and the tofu and egg and chicken is delicious. Perfect amount of tamarind. Also the ca phe su da, Vietnamese iced coffee was the absolute best I've ever had. Like I'd happily drive to Vaughan again for that stuff. As far as I know everyone else had an awesome meal. I was in the area for a meeting and wanted to try a local pho spot. Service was excellent because I was greeted immediately once I walked through the door. They just opened so no one else was there. They person was nice an friendly as they greeted me and sat me to my table. Ambience was excellent. The place look modern and well kept. Food was very good as I order the Pho Tai and shrimp spring roll. They gave you plenty of herbs and beam sprouts. This place is big and decently clean which looked promising but the overall experience did not impress. First impression the setting looks decent, it was bright inside with a lot of natural lighting. The service was a little lacking, first the server seem to have a hard time understandijg English. Which was ok for me since I did not have any food allergies. I kept on asking for hot water and I kept on getting ice water. But there was another customer that ran into the kitchen telling them no peanuts... that is for critical. In terms of food, the pho and the curry noodle dish was a little lacking of flavour and ingredients. I have tried other places that seem to offer a bit more. First off, is this restaurant phoreal? Lmao see what I did there? ;) My parents must've heard really great things about Pho Real because we drove all the way from Mississauga to Vaughan. Pho Real used to be an Italian restaurant because it still says "italian restaurant" on the side of the restaurant. However, that's not important. This Vietnamese restaurant is modern and clean which is great. I liked how the servers will hand out all the utensils because who knows how many people touch the utensils that are already out at typical Viet restaurants. The only negative is that their pricing is pretty high. A small bowl of pho is ~$9 where you can get an XL at many Viet restaurants. The majority of us ordered their bun bo hue special and their pho. I can't handle spicy food at all but for some reason I decided to order the bun bo hue. Holy, did I die! My lips and throat were on fire, and my nose was running like crazy. The meats were soft but I felt it was lacking vermicelli. It was hard for me to enjoy my meal because it was so spicy...but I knew it tasted yummy. I got to try a bit of the pho and it was really good! The broth was delicious and the meat was soft. Next time if I'm in the area I'll order pho instead haha. read more
