The ice cream itself was good. However the service and experience were very underwhelming. They charged me more than what was posted on the board for a Belgian waffle. When I brought it to their attention the server went back to talk to someone and came out and said they needed to update the board. I ordered a brownie sundae with the waffle and charged me separately for everything instead of giving me the brownie sundae price. Asked us to leave (and the other couple in the restaurant) while we were eating our ice cream because they were closing at 9:30 even though it says 10:00 online. So weird. read more

What a nice little cafe. Intensive Menu selection and a throwback layout almost reminds me of a diner that you see in the past. It makes for a great family eatery. Soda floats, ice cream, shakes and even funnel cake. You don't see many restaurants like this anymore. If you want a break from fast food then this it it. My friend first introduced me to this place and it definitely is great to have just a regular ice cream joint around. The first time I went was in May, about two years ago I believe and it was really great. I recently went and the worker and a woman who I believe was the owner, were both super nice. The owner also paid great attention to detail with how her product was served and showed the girl how to properly whip cream and cherry a sundae. The only complain I have is the ice cream didn't appear all that fresh and looked pretty frost bitten. It was still tasty but definitely could have been more fresh. The place is tiny but they offer a lot of great menu items. I only ever tried their sundaes though. They apparently also make pizza and other food but I don't know how this is really feasible when there are lines of customers wanting ice cream. Overall it's a cute place I hope it does well. The owners are the nicest people. They seem to really care about their customers and remember people which i love. The ice cream is delicious especially the cherry vanilla throw some wet walnuts whipped cream and a cherry and you'll be in heaven! I also love how if you order more than one ice cream to go they put them in the freezer while they make the others so they dont melt. Food wise I have only tried the chicken tenders and fries but the chicken tenders were delicious all white meat inside the breading is crispy. The fries were okay wasnt that great in my opinion once they get cold they are garbage. I heard this ice cream parlour opened last summer, so upon my first trip home (sometime during the fall) I hustled over to try it. Since Friendly's closed a few years ago, Warminster has sorely needed a new ice cream place (DQ was our last one standing for quite some time). Much to my dismay, the Big Scoop had already closed for the season. I marked it in my calendar go return in March, when it reopened. Upon my next trip home in the spring, I was disappointed to see that I was just a few days early for their reopening, and would have to wait until my return in April. After much anticipation, I made it to Big Scoop last weekend with my sister (who has been before). I was shocked to see what a range of products they serve - hot dogs, funnel cake, onion rings, pizza, you name it! I was tempted at the prospect of waffles and ice cream, but I wasn't that hungry so I settled for a scoop of chocolate chip cookie with hot fudge and whipped cream. The generous scoop of ice cream was tasty and packed with globs of cookie dough! I also tasted the birthday cake, which I enjoyed very much. The service was quick, and the shop crowded quickly. The interior was nicely remodeled and looks clean and family friendly. The man who helped me was extremely courteous and seemed to be doing most of the work. Especially given the lack of competition around here, the Big Scoop gets an easy four stars! read more

My wife and I popped in for a dessert ice cream after dinner recently, while in the area for a camping trip. 'Twas October 15th around 3-4 in the afternoon. The place was festive and decorated! There was a nice young blonde lady working behind the counter, and she helped us create our gigantic waffle bowls of ice cream. One of the ice creams, she informed us, was from a local farm, so I tried it and it was delicious. They all were, and I tried 4. Definitely a nice local spot to grab a scoop at. My girlfriend and I have gone here twice and it is a cute little ice cream place. We have only got the Ice Cream so I can't comment on any other food on offer. They have a good selection of flavors, some common/normal ones and some more creative like the Cookie Monster. The prices are relatively inexpensive and the ice cream extremely tasty.
