Very happy with the overall process, 3/22/2022 My dog had cracked a front tooth and was in moderate discomfort, checked multiple places for treatment, was told a mid April or then an early June appointment was available. Contacted Anicira and was told I could get an appointment in 2 weeks, which was the earliest,,, I took that appointment and asked to be on a wait list for cancellations.. was called back next day and scheduled an appointment 1 week out.... was called back the following morning asking if I could bring my pup in THAT morning because of a cancellation.. First and foremost, they took excellent care of my cat, kept me well informed of the process and what to expect. Horrible experience at Anicira. I took my cat to get neutered and ended up having to take him to the emergency vet right after because he was bleeding puddles all over the bathroom floor. To begin with I think they had too many animals there and couldn't accommodate. So for starters they called me shortly after I dropped him off and said he had a heart murmur and that I should reschedule the Neuter and go see a cardiologist. I said he has a WHAT??? Since when?? none of his vets have ever said that. So I'm like is he stressed or is it a heart murmur? She said she doesn't know but they need to take a blood test to see in order to neuter him something isn't adding up bc if you don't know then why did you say that??? So I'm like okay do the test because I brought him to be neutered and we don't live close. It was an extra 100 dollars and surprise! HE DIDNT HAVE ONE!! But to say that and stress me out talking about a cardiologist, I don't play about my son so that is scary!! They were trying to free up room bc I kid you not it was around 60+ animals that came in. I was like damn they have all that room?? Then I go to pick him up and they say they had a lot of dogs and female cats and that my boy cat didn't need a cone or medication. As a first time cat mom im trusting you guys so I was like okay you're the doctor. No... he absolutely needed a cone he bled out all over the bathroom. Crazy part is I put a cone I got from Amazon in his carrier !!!! Like if you didn't have enough cones he literally had his own. They weren't paying attention at all just sloppy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sent the pictures to them of the blood and his incision and they could care less they're like yeah he needs to go to the emergency room he was fine when he left here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] girl huh????? So I took him to the emergency vet they checked him gave him pain medicine and a cone bc I literally only grabbed him they helped me clean the blood and checked to see if he was bleeding internally because it was so much! I wish they were closer, purely for ease of use. And sometimes I wish they were less busy so it is even easier to schedule appointments. Other than that, I have had had several great experiences here with four different cats. While it sucks to get down to economics when your pet's wellbeing is at stake, Anicira is a great option for that reason. Their costs are very reasonable. I was quoted over $600 each for a neuter for my boy kittens at our other vet, and Anicira charged $169, with another $109 for optional pre-op blood work. They charge half as much for rabies vaccinations than our other vet. If you call, staff will give you clear amounts or ranges to expect for the variety of services. Other diagnostics are also generally far more affordable than at our other vet, which was great when I have had cats need x-rays and/or ultrasounds and lab work. The ability to do more for less when you are concerned about your pet is one fewer thing to worry about. !! Do make sure to be on time for your appointment. I have been late for a wellness appointment and they have refused to see me, which is fair enough (though I would have appreciated knowing about this policy beforehand). And do make sure to confirm your appointment when they send the 48 hour confirmation link, as they will cancel your appointment if you do not respond. I know this is to streamline their appointments so people aren't left waiting ages, and to make sure no-shows are weeded out so there are appointments available for those who need one. read more

Rain is a 6 mo old female adopted pit bull. She went in happy and came out happy after her spay surgery. We had taken our Family Pet, Mocha for teeth cleaning and she needed some teeth extractions. The staff provided us with X-rays and Doctor notes about the health conditions of Mocha. This really helped for us to understand the decisions that were made to help improve Mocha's health. Mocha has been doing great and is more active than we had seen in over a year. Quick and painless (for me at least... and probably for my cat, too). Everything was done right! Really nice, clean facility, too. Staff was friendly, check in was quick. Took my cat in because he was losing excess weight, they told me it was bacterial, but when he got worse I took him to an emergency vet and they told me his kidneys were failing. Sadly my cat passed, I wish there was more communication on what he was dealing with. read more

My dogs was recently neutered at anicira in manassas. Less then 24 hours after the procedure my dog very nearly died from internal bleeding. The vet who performed the surgery failed to successfully suture blood vessels which were pouring blood into his abdomen. luckily VCA in leesburg was able to fix the anicira mistake, stop the bleeding and save his life. The final cost to me was over $7,500. stay away from anicira. read more
