I just got off the phone with one of the workers and she did not even talk to me. She rushed me off the phone and did not even ask me why I called. She listed a bunch of things for me to spend my money on then hung up the phone. My dog is in pain and she's worried about the things I can spend my money on him for. I seriously am reconsidering on where I take my dog if the number 1 reason why I'm here isn't put first. I'm sick and tired of everyone's reason of respect comes from money. read more

1/2 Star at best! When Dr. Marc Rosenberg retired, we decided to continue with Voorhees Veterinary Center despite the lack of experience and skill that remained. Our female dog has a collapsed trachea and enlarged heart which causes her to cough often when put into stressful situations like vet visits. When we arrived at their office today, 10/28/23 @ 4PM, she was once again stressed and the extremely rude receptionist, Kim Champion, asked my wife and I to stand outside because our dog was too loud and thought she might be contagious. When I explained to her that she was in respiratory distress and had an appointment for her condition, she told me that we still needed to stand outside. Dr. Kaplan also chimed in and said she sounded terrible and needed to go outside. She has sounded like this for over a year and Kaplan and staff know this! We could have waited comfortably in one of their many open patient rooms, but NO they insisted we stand outside!! This infuriated me and I stormed out! I couldn't fathom how individuals that are so nasty and lack any compassion for pets in distress can work in a veterinary office! Dr. Hanan is by far the only good one left at that office. We have been customers of this practice for 11+ years and have spent several thousand dollars there. I guess our loyalty and patronage means nothing to this staff. It is time to move on to a vet that actually cares about their paying customers and their pets. I love my dogs and I was angered at how we were treated! I should have handled the situation better, but there is no excuse for the disrespect and lack of professionalism shown by Champion and Kaplan! When I informed them that we were leaving their practice, Champion said "Whatever and good!" We should have known not to expect much from a business that resides in a run down and abandoned shell of a shopping center! read more

I've been going to Voorhees Veterinary Center for over 25 years. I trust them completely with the care of my beloved pets. And there have been many! While everyone there is wonderful, my go to is Dr. Brody. She is caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. One of the things I love about her is that she tells me the choices I have in the care of my pets. She always gets back to me promptly with any new information or tests results and helps guide me with decisions if they need to be made. All of the staff at Voorhees Vets, from the doctors, to the vet techs, management and office personnel, are always pleasant and helpful. They go out of their way to get answers for you and to accommodate you. The office is very clean and never "smells like a vet's office" (no smelly pet odors). I moved out of the Voorhees area but still make the hour drive to take my pets to this office. I highly recommend them to any one who wants the best of care and compassion for their fur babies. read more

How do I give a good review when they wanted to euthanize my dog since their treatment for an ear infection did not work, including expired meds! Luckily my dog was treated by a very reputable vet and is alive and well. I am so grateful my new vet saved his life at the 11th hour. read more

We will no longer be taking our dog to the Voorhees Vet Center for veterinary care. I left a voicemail at 1:27pm this afternoon about our dog getting into an off-brand play-doh, asking for recommendations on how to proceed (knowing that you can only induce vomiting within the first 4 hours). I waited until 5:30pm tonight to finally call them back after receiving no calls from them. Their excuse was that they've been busy and haven't had a chance to listen to their voicemails over the past 4 hours. Clearly they have too many customers and cannot attend to those of us who have come to them for years. This is also the second time we never received a call back from this vet after leaving a voicemail. Now we have to watch our girl all night to make sure she doesn't have any GI issues, and take her to a veterinary emergency center if she does have problems tonight. read more

Took my dog here because she had a little lump that was bothering her. This young doctor tried to drain it, but ended up really hurting her, then he went on to tell me that she had heart issues, which was new information to me. I've had this dog since she was a puppy and she's a senior now. She's never had heart issues and we went to other vets to find out she does not have anything wrong with her heart and to really fix that irritated lump. This doctor upset me for no reason. read more

Took our dog here for a check up and quote on a teeth cleaning and even though it's less than 2 miles away we won't be back. The place has a huge pet supplies section which was great but the people were the real downfall. The front desk staff was ok but not very friendly while the vet was terrible. She was pretty cold and talked down to us about our older indoor dog not being fixed and even though we did say we get his shots done at the Voorhees Welfare Association (for cheaper) she went ahead and did the shots without asking. The price just for a teeth cleaning/meds/possible teeth extraction was about $1400 which was crazy ridiculous (we paid $900 for neuter and teeth cleaning at Housepaws). The only reason this is even a two star is the vet tech who was super nice. read more

Our cat Lola was very old and they diagnosed her with cancer 6 months ago and she did well on steroids longer than expected. Last 2 weeks were down-hill and they tried everything. Dr. Hanna called me one day at 5:30 pm and I knew she had to be exhausted. She read every ingredient in Max dry food which had been discontinued then found the closest match of ingredients for us to purchase in another food (elsewhere, they didn't carry it) in the event Lola was sick from a new food. I thanked her a million times and purchased the new food from Amazon. Still getting sick, I took her back for dehydration. They upped her steroids and gave me a pill for nausea. They gently reminded me that it could be the cancer. It was. But any call that I made was returned and with compassion. There was never a day I didn't get a return call. They insisted I call to repot Lola's progress. We have doctors that are not as dedicated as their team of veterinarians. The techs are wonderful too. I have been going there for many years and will return, knowing my 3-yr old will be in good hands. Thank you all for your help and patience with me and Lola. Rose Marie read more

I'm giving Voorhees Veterinary Center - Animal Crackers a 5 star review but I'd gladly give a much higher number if it was available. I have been a client of the Veterinary Center for years as well as an extremely satisfied customer of the Animal Crackers store located in conjunction with the Veterinary Center. The minute you walk through the doors you will be amazed at the amount of items available. You will also be greeted by the friendly staff! They carry both special diet formula foods as well as a wide variety of other pet foods...but that is just a small part of Animal Crackers. They carry everything you could possibly need for your pets at very competitive prices. Just a few items they stock are toys (far too many to mention), treats, leashes, collars, beds, products for pet parents (such as cards & air fresheners, to name a few), crates but as I've mentioned far too much to even begin to list here you need to see everything to believe it. Also if you need a particular item and don't find it there, they never hesitate to place a special order for you. Tucked away in another area they offer pet grooming. An area where the pets receive the care and compassion a pet needs to feel good with the experience. While other businesses choose to groom the pets where they are basically on display making many animals feel fearful to be groomed. You won't need to worry about that here. I call grooming here a "spa day" for pets. All purchases you make on food or supplies at Animal Crackers they stamp a card for you. When you have filled a card you can use it towards Veterinary services at the Veterinary Clinic. So that is an added bonus. I could easily go on and on but they offer far too much to mention here. If you love pets then you owe it to yourself and your pets to stop by and see just how much they offer. I'm certain you won't believe it and will be glad you made the trip!! Horrible since Dr McVeigh left! If you want your dogs issues, such as pain, not addressed, but instead want pressured into fecal testing and Lyme disease screening in an asymptomatic dog, and dandruff shampoo, this is the vet for you. We left the appointment today with no pain medication and with $160 of upcharging for unnecessary testing not related to our visit. We were pressured to buy shampoo, but told they didn't sell Duramaxx there, so it wasn't a big deal if we left without a prescription. We will be going back to our Vet in Philly who practices ethically. Never again!!! read more

We love Dr. Jessica Schoell. She clearly loves (and owns) large breed dogs and dives right in to some pretty nasty stuff with our elderly, sickly chap. He loves her attention so much, that it is never a fight to take him in for visits. Dr. Schoell also takes a common sense approach to cost effective options, and never leaves you feeling like you were rushed out of your appointment. Highly recommend Dr. Schoell for large breed TLC! Some have complained about upselling and add ons. It would be your responsibilty to question the reason for X Y or Z. I therefore regularly PICK what I want done and don't want done. You control the ultimate costs incurred. And yes, AWA is cheaper for shots...but AWA is a zoo (excuse the pun) on their limited hours/days of the week for WELL shots (I know, as I have been to that cattle call). Likewise, AWA won't innoculate elderly, chronically ill animals. read more

I am a new pet owner and found that if I have a concern they take this as an opportunity to oversell procedures and prescriptions. Once I was concerned that my puppy was licking and didn't realize this is mostly normal for dogs. I prescribed to creams and a plastic cone even though the doctor stated there are no signs of irritation, just to be safe. My dog had been at a Best Friends for socializing on a rainy day. I was hesitant to send him during flu season and he got sick a few days later. This was explained to vet but they can labs and X-rays up to 400.00. My dog was fine the next day. This tells me the docs are either inexperienced or over selling. Office manager delayed for several days then when she called said they were concerned about his Weight as golden doodle labradoodle mix should be 50-70lbs. They said he is only 16 lbs. I almost yelled he is a mini!!!! Again more evidence of inexperience or just plain aloof. read more

I called on a Friday afternoon needing a Vets certificate before I moved to Greece the upcoming monday. They only give you a 10 day crunch for the certificate mind you, but from the receptionist to the doctor was exceptional. All the paperwork was taken care of within an hour (because that was all the time I had) and my dog was thoroughly inspected. The doctor was cool as shit and the techs were great. I literally called 17 Vets on this day to get help and 13 were off for the day, the other four told me flat out they couldn't help me. After running around for over a year, trying to solve the mystery of my Golden's allergies, I finally found Dr. Marc who diagnosed Ziggy correctly. The allergies are under control and I'm no longer using most of my paycheck trying to help Ziggy thru this problem. Dr. Marc and his team are the most caring and knowledgeable people I've seen and I'm so grateful to my friend Kathleen for her recommendation. I also love the fact that you can get your precious pets groomed here too. And of course the toys for sale are the funniest ones I've seen. I must have 10 toys in my house and Ziggy plays with every stinkin one of them. He takes a different one with him on our evening walks. Absolutely LOVE this place. read more

Love this place. I can always speak directly with the doctor when I need to, even after hours when we had an emergency. The staff are tremendously accommodating, even opening the doors when I ran out of pet food on a holiday. This is a hometown atmosphere with impressive medical resources. I also like that all of the staff, doctors included, seem committed to humane efforts and are involved in the community. While the place has grown, the same familiar faces have been there for years and years and the doctors are very skilled and, I have had enough animals over the years to know. We have been using this Vet for over 16 yrs & never considered going anywhere else after we saw how friendly the staff was from front desk to the Vets & vet assistants. We have a diabetic cat so when we travel we board him & our other to cats there because Louie needs his insulin twice daily. To weeks before Xmas last year we had a house fire & lost everything but clothing on our back. & we where so blessed all our babies. The cats where full of black soot from the smoke, so we took them right to Voorhees Vet to get them checked out & groomed. My baby's where so freaked out scared & the staff did their best to calm them down. They started checking them out before they took them in for grooming. They told it took 3 times to get all the soot out of their fur. I feel so blessed that there r still people out there like the owner & Marybeth, Doctors, every associate's treated us and more important our cats better than family & friends. I could never find the words to thank them for the love they gave & our 3 cats. They groomed, boarded, fixed them up,for three weeks till we got a new home & changed us next 2 nothing & don't no how I'll thank them but they will b part of our family forever we love u all read more

I had my dog in Timber Creek Dog park and she got severly injured with a 5 inch gash on her back leg. I a was with a local friend but live over 25 miles away so she recommended we go to her vet. I have been more than impressed with Dr. Marc and Dr. Mason. They both have been wonderful with our dogs and understanding with our concerns, especially with our rescue puppy. That being said, Lindsay, a tech, could use a class on compassion when dealing with a scared, young, rescue pup. I didn't care for how she handled (dragged) him, or her condescending attitude and tone of voice. She was responsible for my first negative experience I've had there in over 7 years. read more
