The level of care, the courtesy and the professionalism at Riverside North are unmatched by any other place that I've been to, and I've been to quite a few places in the city, including some of the "big names" in feline care. What sold me this time was Dr. Babaev. He is a careful and methodical clinician, but you can also tell by his bedside manner and the time that he spends with you that he also really, really cares. I have a young cat with a very rare condition (bilateral cryptorchidism) who required major surgery. Dr. Babaev carefully and methodically walked me through his decision-making process in putting together a plan of treatment. He listened to my concerns and helped me weigh the pros and cons of each decision. At no point did I feel like I was being upsold, or pressured to spring for unnecessary procedures out of an abundance of caution/concern. My cat received excellent care, is healing up well, and the clinic staff have been available to check in every step of the way, from pre-op through post-op care. I had a great experience with the care coordination for this surgery, and I don't leave many reviews these days, but I felt moved to comment. Highly recommend this place and Dr. Babaev if you are new to the city and have a cat.

I have been a loyal client of Riverside North Animal Hospital for years and have spent thousands of…read moredollars caring for my dog there. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk attendant and Dr. Aleksandra Scorobogtova was one of the most upsetting I've ever had in a medical office. My very senior dog developed a red, irritated eye with yellow discharge that I felt needed prompt medical attention. Knowing I was running late for my appointment, I tried calling the office three times to let them know, but no one answered. Once I finally got through, I continued calling with updates as I rushed there, letting them know exactly where I was. I was repeatedly told that if I arrived outside the 10-minute grace period, my dog would not be seen. I left my children at camp, ran 10 blocks home, grabbed my dog, and arrived within the office's stated grace period. Despite arriving on time according to their policy, I was told the front desk still needed Dr. Scorobogtova's approval to see me. When I expressed my frustration, the situation escalated, and she ultimately refused to treat my dog. I pleaded to let my dog be seen, even offering to wait as long as necessary. Instead, after waiting about 20 minutes, I was told that Dr. Scorobogtova did not feel comfortable treating my very senior dog despite his red eye and yellow discharge. My options were to come back the following week or take his medical records elsewhere. Before leaving, I tried to have a calm conversation with the front desk employee. I even acknowledged that she was handling the front desk by herself and told her she was doing a good job. My only complaint was how I had been spoken to throughout the interaction. As I left, I sincerely said, "Have a good night." They replied, "You too." I responded, "I doubt I will." At that point, they laughed. I turned around in tears and asked, "How can you laugh at someone who's crying?" I told them they should be ashamed of themselves. That moment was every bit as painful as being turned away with my dog still untreated. I understand that veterinary practices need policies. What I don't understand is refusing care to a long-time client who made every effort to communicate, arrived within the office's stated grace period, and was simply asking for compassion for a senior dog that needed medical attention. I never expected special treatment--only empathy, professionalism, and care for my dog. Instead, I left feeling humiliated, heartbroken, and abandoned by a practice I had trusted for years.

I was happy to see that the entry price was nearly $1000 cheaper than Manhattan. I booked the appointment. I even came back for the required bloodwork before the dental appointment as it was even cheaper than in New York City for that as well. Happily, the dentistry went well and it was $1000 for dentistry where the minimum in Manhattan was $1800. Dr. was caring, staff was nice Recommend and will return

Brought my cat for the visit today, called before I came and no one said anything about the wait…read moreeven after arrival, waited 40 mins with no one even checking if we are ok. It was hectic with multiple dogs around and my cat started getting fever. Week before that I asked them to repeat the blood for my visit and they refused even though lab work doesn't require Dr only tech, but they said because they injured his leg before that he couldn't step on it they can't take him. So I came back for the Dr risking the health of my pet for a week. We left without a visit even though they knew about urgency of FIP condition, the need of blood test, transfusion or fluids, and no one even gave us a call. Now I'm assuming they just afraid to be sued and kept making me wait on purpose. I would not recommend this place, the receptionist is rude, the techs are incompetent, and the Dr is young, but I was surprised he never even called back. No compassion here, poor animals.

The…read moreappointment went well, and we told the vet that we were potentially interested in getting pet insurance. She gave us some recommendations and told us that they would be able to provide the insurance with our cats' medical records with results from our wellness exam that day. So I went ahead and signed up for pet insurance. Yesterday, the pet insurance company sent emails to Bond Vet 91st Street requesting for each of my cats' medical records. I was copied on the emails and was surprised to see Bond Vet responding that they do not have any of our pets on file in their system. I thought it was a mistake, so I logged into my account and took a screenshot of the names of my cats that were very clearly listed on my profile, as well as their discharge summary. Even with that, no apologies or corrections were made. They simply continued to reply with rude one line responses stating that my cats are not listed in their system. How do you have the audacity to deny that my cats are Bond vet patients and refuse to send our pet insurance company our cat's medical records when I have receipts, payment invoice, discharge summaries and screenshots showing that my cats are clearly listed on my profile when I log on to my account on your website. This is ludicrous and I never want to deal with your rude staff or your overpriced and incompetence services ever again.

Eating gaining weight, moving better all good signs!

Dr. Kim and all the staff at edgewater animal hospital are the best !! We've been going to EAH ever…read moresince we moved to NJ, every after we moved to Brooklyn, we still drove out to NJ to see Dr. Kim and his staff. When we had emergencies, we would call and EAH would always try to squeeze us in, and they always gave us tons of advice / answered any questions we had. The care our little guy gets is always top notch!. When we arrive at our appointment times we always get in super quick, do our thing and got out. EAH is reasonably priced, but def not on the low end. That's a good thing because having been to a couple of vets before coming here, I tell u, u def get what you pay for. For the peace of mind knowing our little guy is in the care of EAH is priceless. I def recommend EAH, Dr. Kim and all the staff here.

When I asked to speak to the vet - the vet tells me I am being difficult (because they want to take my dog to the back and treat him there ) still with no shame charging $400 for treating his cut nail and putting a bandage on it. I guess they forgot that doctors and nurses are supposed to be KIND at the time of need. This is the 2nd issue I had with them - last time I was sent to VEG in Hoboken because they could not do anything. Not going back to this place. Plenty of vets out there - go to a place that treats you right. The tech with the red hair belongs somewhere else not working with people and their pets.
