I'm so happy! We recently moved to this side of town. I had been driving my dogs all the way back to the other side of town to the groomers that they have been going to for several years, but its dangerous on the roads and I don't like traveling that far. Animal Kingdom groomers happens to be next to the nail salon I go to (Epic Nails is amazing also). I called and got my fur babies an appointment, brought in their vaccine information (super important to me that they check). I have a short hair Chihuahua mix that just needed a bath, and a long hair Chihuahua mix that needed a full groom. I showed them a picture for my long hair pup's normal cut (asked them to get as close to it as they can, I know it can be difficult), and WOW! They did so amazingly well. My puppies smell fantastic, they look great, and the cost is appropriate. I am so happy and thankful to these folks for taking such good care. I look forward to bringing the pups back for their next service! read more

Took my new puppy shih tzu here for a trim and bath and Amanda did a great job! I noticed the name of the business changed, or maybe Pampered Pooch was bought out, so I was hesitant to still arrive. I walked in and there was a friendly desk girl, a gentleman who asked for my dog's name and then he went and got our groomer Amanda who spoke with me. I've been to some groomers that take 3+ hours long and that always makes me feel horrible for my pup. Amanda asked what I wanted and I said it's my girl's first time so let's just do a trim and clean up. She said 1.5-2 hours she'd call me and instead it took 45 minutes. She looks so pretty and great! A little pricey, but for the time and character of the salon, we are going to return. read more

The best place for dog grooming. Their price is the best in town! The place is so clean and smells wonderful!! The owner and employees are the best! I took my mix Chow for grooming and they did a great job and even brush her teeth for free...so much appreciated. I encourage every pet owners to take their pets here for grooming!! I even left Misty a 5 STAR REVIEW with SEVERAL photos, on 3 different occasions on how excellent they cut my dogs hair. Clearly this refutes her story and shows I was not complaining. This shows that Animal Kingdom /Lisa is lying in their story. My post for MPP was dated awhile back. I was honestly a little disappointed that they changed my dogs hair style completely from before, even with their notes on file. It showed that I was disappointed in my face, but I never raised my voice. I always showed i was grateful by tipping regardless of how bad Animal Kingdom groomed my dogs. -------------- Originally gave 5 stars when they had a different owner. This is under new ownership! They haven't changed their name on here because the other place has 2 1/2 stars. When I got my dogs back their hair cuts were not the same. So I made a comment that they dont look as good as they used to. So this time around, I made another appointment during lunch. This lady from Animal Kingdom kept aggressively calling my phone 4 times and I kept hanging up because I am at work. Then she texted me and I responded and instead of texting me back she calls me to tell me she cannot take my dogs at this location and to go to the Animal Kingdom location with major negative reviews. She insisted that l willhave better results there! Then ended the call telling me they will never take my reservation again at this location. NO, actually I will not go to any of your locations every again. Although, the last time they messed up I was still willing to give them another shot til they can get my dogs hair style correctly, but clearly they are not qualified enough. Took our collie here twice. First time the bath was decent. She is a puppy so understand that she can be a handful. Second time we took her we just wanted her pads trimmed. For some reason they decided to trim the fur around her ears and flanks. It was a total hatchet job. I wouldn't have been so upset if the trim had been even. But the cut looked like a 2 year old got a hold of the scissors and cut their own hair. I've never seen such an uneven trim. She also didn't smell that clean. Brought her home and brushed her to see if I could even it out. Got about 6 full brushes of fur out. So not sure they brushed her out well either. Won't be going back. read more

Time and time again, My Pampered Pooch continues to do a fantastic job with our dog's crazy hair! I brought my SO's goldendoodle in this morning around 8 to get a summer cut and ears plucked. I got a call not three hours later saying they were done! Friendly staff as well as great customer service (and during covid they were wearing masks! Very comforting to see). Big smile on my pup when he was brought out from the back which means he must've really enjoyed a morning at MPP! We usually take our furbaby to PetSmart but the last couple of time when he comes back to us he is scared, shaking, and very clingy for a few days so we decided to look around and see who else was in our area. After reading review after review, My Pampered Pooch seemed to fit what we were looking. First over all impression for me is always over the phone so when I called on Thursday, the person I spoke with was very nice and helpful. She was able to give me an appointment for today, Saturday at 10 am, which worked perfect for us. I did ask if she had a Friday appointment but they didn't and that was fine. Shortly after making the appointment I got a text message reminding me of the appointment and then another the morning. Second opinion is when I am in person. When I walked in, I was greeted and asked what the name of my pup wasand what we wanted done. After giving her his name and all details of what we expected, she immediately took him back. I had to pick up Tazzie because he is still skidish but once I handed him over, he seemed to be ok. WE were told that he would be done in 2 hours and they would call us. We left and an hour and 45 minutes later we got a call saying he was done. Last opinion, when went to pick him up, he looked amazing. He seemed happy and not anxious. When we got him in the car he wasn't shaking (as he normally did leaving Pet Smart), and upon inspecting him, they did everything I asked for. Decent hair cut (for dogs), but a little expensive. I brought my Aussie Shepherd here in the middle of summer to try to get him a trim to keep him a little cooler. The woman at the counter and I had a little miscommunication--I asked for a trim of his undercoat and came back to find they'd done a buzz cut. I was a little irritated, but the dog didn't seem to care. He actually seemed a lot cooler than if they'd given him the trim I asked for. But I left a little frustrated due to the miscommunication. I would probably still give them 3 stars and another chance, since the staff was very friendly and at least one person I know has had a good experience here, but the place is a little expensive too. $65 for a hair cut that I could have gotten for $35 at a large corporate pet store. 2 stars from my experience, but I will say other folks like them. read more

We have been using My Pampered Pooch now for over a year for grooming all of our dogs( I have 5 ) The staff is always very friendly, and my dogs actually will walk in to the groomer now, where before, we had trouble getting them to go in for grooming. They also took extra time and were very patient with our newest pup, for his first time grooming who has anxiety and is afraid of everything, but they were able to get him done and said he did fine. I am utterly disgusted with the treatment of my dog. We brought three of my dogs here and when my dad brought my dog back, he couldn't even open his eyes. They were swollen shut and he was in extreme pain. The owner failed to mention that a problem occurred during the visit and tried to say he was injured prior to the grooming. After taking my dog to the vet, he was given eye numbing drops and specified that there was an injury caused by a scratch. His eyelashes look like they were shaved off and I'm assuming the razor blade cut him. Apparently a new groomer was taking care of my dog and all of this was not mentioned to us until we called the owner about the issue. When we dropped the invoice off at Pampered Pooch the owner went absolutely crazy and was being foul and screaming at me. An investigation should be conducted for animal abuse, given the treatment of my dog and my family as customers. read more
