Our pup loves daycare!
Shannon J.

What can I say?! We work long hours and our pup needs mental stimulation so we bring him to daycare. Every time he gets dropped off he is excited to play with his puppy friends and say hi to the staff. We have used Pet Play House for boarding, day care, light grooming as they offer baths and he also attends their doggy holiday parties, so I can say that this place is our go to! We love the daily report cards and that he comes home exhausted from his day so he can just loaf on the couch with us when we are home.

Here at pet play house my very energetic dog loves getting dropped off at the front desk and never looks back! Home notes are great let you know a little of what they did that day. Employees are always very nice and always listen to any questions you have.

Checking out the Presidential Suite and getting some head scratches.

We've never boarded our dogs before, and were very nervous to try. But, after doing some research, we decided to give it a go. Pet Play House offered exactly what we wanted and were accommodating and patient with us. Our pups are "that breed" which prohibited them from joining the play groups. That's okay as I understand the insurance piece and I don't want either of my dogs to be in a situation where they could be hurt or cause injury. Best to just avoid that altogether. But I am thankful to Pet Play House for allowing them to stay overnight. Of course we did the Presidential Suite so they could stay together (and I loved being able to see them on video). They had outside time together and even got a bedtime story. In fact, they both did so well that they each got a sticker on their report card. (Isn't that the sweetest??) Thank you for taking good care of our Maggie and Otis. We think they're both pretty special and it means a lot that you think so, too!

Sleepy pup after her first day at daycare :)

Today we brought our pup to Pet Play House for the first time. Given that she is a shelter pup with a traumatic past, and that we have only had her for a month, we were nervous about how she would be during her evaluation for doggie daycare. She ended up having an absolute blast, and we felt very good and safe having her there. The staff that was working gave us a tour, and told us they would call us immediately if something didn't go right (aggression, etc), which gave us peace of mind that we could trust them, rather than going to a daycare where they don't care and just throw the dogs together and hope for the best. Our pup came home nice and tired (as you can see from the picture), and we feel confident with boarding her for nine nights this coming July in one of their doggy suites :) I also really love the little report cards that they sent home with us. Thank you guys for being awesome and we will be seeing you again soon!

**Pupdate*** picked up Winnie and Cleve after what seemed like forever! All week we got texts with photos (best Add-On EVER), they had 3 half mile walks throughout the week (an add-on that was a wonderful surprise for us to include), 4 private outings (included, we opted out of the play groups), and had movies playing (another great add-on) to help with any anxiety. Picking them up was fantastic. We got a report card covering their vacation stay. Let us know how they ate, their attitude. All the things. That was lovely. I'm very happy with Pet Playhouse and would use them again. We dropped off our sweet pups Thursday for a 6 nights stay. It's the first time one of our rescue babies has been boarded and only the 3rd for the other. I was so concerned I emailed in the middle of the night asking how they were. I got a kind and assuring response in between flights today along with pictures of our pups. So far I give them 5 stars for putting two nervous dog moms at ease while they pamper them. I will update as I get pup-dates. So far I'm very pleased with the human and canine service!!

I boarded my dog Milo for a week with Pet Playhouse. We ran into the issue of Milo being super anxious during his boarding to the point that he was drooling and he ate drywall on his condo. Pet Play House notified me immediately, and were very kind and compassionate about the situation. They offered some calming hemp chews for dogs, and were very understanding of the situation. In addition, I called and got updates daily on Milo. I just felt that my dog was in caring knowledgeable hands. I would recommend this place for boarding because of this experience and also because they offer so many add on's to the visit to help keep your dog stimulated and happy. I just really want to thank them for the compassion and kindness they showed to Milo and me.

He has so much fun, this is him after a boarding visit!

We were lucky to find the Pet Play House! Our dog, Scooby, absolutely loves going there! When we pull up he knows exactly where we are and his excitement sky rockets!! The staff is amazing and they take great care of our Scooby! We go a few times a month and every time he has so much fun, he sleeps the rest of the night. We also love the Report Cards on how his visit went! I highly recommend this place for you boarding g needs!

Quick weekend get away from California, we booked couple's massage in Reno. We wanted our baby Cody to enjoy himself too and also to ease our guilt, we booked him an overnight stay at Pet Play House. We had such good experience the last time we felt secure enough to leave our baby overnight under their care. We upped it by add ons like chicken noodle soup, home baked treats, breakfast in bed, fuzzy blanket all for a very reasonable price. It was also perfect opportunity for our baby to mingle with other dogs. When we picked him up, he was so happy and so full of energy. We can tell he enjoyed himself but he misses his dads very much. Thank you Pet Play House for taking care of Cody. Until our next visit!

When he is not a pet playhouse he hikes. He needs a cooling vest in the hot summer.

Ask the Community - Pet Play House

Hello? How much is daycare for approx 9 hours a day and is there a better price if I need mon-Fri. And do you offer a veteran discount? Thanks!?

You have to pick them up during the business hr. Check them out. If you try to pick up after they close the dog is spending the night. They have decreased open hrs sat and only 10 to 2 on Sunday. Not sure about discount.

We checked out quite a few places and what set RWC apart is the emphasis on staff training and a carefully maintained staff-to-dog ratio. That means it does book up on busy weekdays and holidays, so reservations are required, which isn't as necessary at a lot of places. Our dog gets easily overwhelmed in new situations, and they've been brilliant at helping her cope and get enough downtime. We love that they have the treadmills, which helps our active dog calm down and focus. Their trainer Star introduced "wait" to her instead of "stay," and it's made a noticeable difference. We've had great chats (in person and by email) with Jodie, the RWC owner, and we love how committed she is to high standards and creating a healthy and safe environment for dogs. I'd say it's a bit pricier than some options, but RWC's commitment to fairly compensating and training their staff is a great thing to see in this industry and, of course, ultimately results in a better experience for the dogs as well.

I find their pricing to be fair for the high quality of service they provide, and I love that they offer thoughtful extras, like giving your dog treadmill or pool breaks, or the occasional activity add-ons to help exercise your dog mentally in addition to physically.

They have all been very good to me and my boys. I have also always had their shots done, and was always prepared for that since they notify you by email in advance when their shots are expiring. They have extended my boys stays on short notice or were able to get them in on short notice as well. The only thing that has ever been required sooner than most places was kennel cough, and flu which is completely understandable! SO THANK YOU CHRISTOPHER RAYNOR , for pulling out so my pups could go in on short notice, especially since my boys shots were up to date. On another note Mr. Raynor, don't go trash talking my family. I consider The Bark House extended family since they have always taken care of my boys and have always notified me when my pups were due for their shots. I don't appreciate someone who trash talks my family when you sir, were not in compliance, and really dude...do you know that parvo can kill a dog? Again, The Bark House has always taken care of my boys, and if you give them enough heads up they will even bath them before you head in to taken them home! I recommend them to everyone and they are good supporters of military, police and I believe first responders as well. But being military and police, they have supported me and my boys since I discovered them! They are wonderful with my boys which always come home tired and happy from playing! The good - the female facilitator and the other gentleman were very sweet. They gave a great tour, and were always happy to take calls or answer questions. I think this place is great for folks who work on USA Parkway, or folks who are content with quick exchanges with no feedback. The bad - Unfortunately most of my drop offs consisted of dealing with Thomas, the owner. He made it clear pretty early on that he thought me and my dog had "anxiety issues". When I picked my dog up each day I liked to ask how her day was, as I'm genuinely interested (I love my dog lol) and it's nice to make small talk. Thomas took this interaction as me thinking my dog had a problem, and would make comments about my dog having some type of issue. He constantly rubbed me the wrong way, saying it was incorrect for me to say goodbye to my dog as it would increase her anxiety, and mentioning that I shouldn't call in to check on her. The final straw was today, Thomas had made a comment to my husband yesterday that my dog was "nippy" with him, and I wanted to talk to Thomas about it directly as I was genuinely concerned about my dog showing potential signs of aggression. Upon me asking him about it, he immediately let me know I should probably find another daycare, as I'm the owner he deals with that has the most issues or concerns. I tried to amicably let him know I'm only trying to get more information on the situation, but he kept insisting I go somewhere else since I'm not happy. This was a totally unprofessional way to speak to me, and as a paying customer I think it's well within my right to ask second level questions about my dog's behavior. I will be taking his advice, and going to a different daycare that doesn't view me as a problem customer for checking in on my dog or asking about her at pickup. 2 stars because they helped us out during days we needed dog care, and I'm appreciative for that!
