Wonderful experience again taking in my 2 Cavaliers to Spoiled Petz! This is my 2nd time and I'm so happy with them!

I must say this was the worst possible experience. We spoke on the phone, confirmed the dogs size twice via phone and text and here I was after 1hr and a half drive finding out we are going to be refused by your groomer. Since you said the whole thing will take 6hr, this made us have to cancel all plans booked for today, especially since we don't stay in Reno. Whomever is the manager of this practice should reevaluate her management skills. If your employee said her doctor refuses anything "large" there should be no miscommunication as to what large means. We lost 3 hours of our life on your poor internal communications. read more

Not acknowledging questions about severe allergic reaction due to cheap cleaning product used, blaming me by owner/manager for reaction my pup had after a simple nail trim. Groomer was great, was the facility that was an issue. Visit caused days of baths and meds due to allergic reaction to cleaning product used by facility (fabuloso), even though feet were on floor, was enough to spread reaction. Big difference between prior grooming facility and here, where there was never an issue with my pup, or pups. Will never recommend this place only due to what I and my pup experience. I've heard other bad experiences too, but its on them to hope report. read more

I took my standard poodle in at the Longley McCarran location and I didn't get a block away and I got a phone call and the woman asked me to pick my dog back up because he was barking and she was in a strip mall and couldn't have barking dogs! Can you imagine? This is a beautiful standard poodle who has been having his grooming session since he was 8 weeks old and was 4 years old at the time. What a joke! read more

Beyond Dissapointed. I have a shihtzu and specifically asked to NOT CUT HIS BODY HAIR. All I wanted was a shaved stomach and that is IT. When I booked online I even wrote it down in the description of what I wanted but clearly they did not read that. When I walked in to the salon the morning of I told the elderly lady working the front counter AGAIN what I wanted and repeated to her the same thing but made an énfasis of not TOUCHING HIS BODY!! And well you guessed it. They gave me a FULLY SHAVED dog back. It'll take about 3-4 months for my dog to grow the lenght of hair he had before all of this mess. My advice? Horrible experience, staff was so incredibly rude. I made it clear to them my dog was a nervous rescue and might need a doggy hammock or something to relax, they said they don't accommodate dogs like that because it defeats the purpose of SPOILED petz. They tried anyways, only clipped a couple nails and still charged me full price. They were very stuck up acting like they were better than me when I made it clear he is just scared. Rescued dogs still deserve services too??? There was no patience, no compassion. Acting like they groom Paris Hilton's dog and no rescues. Just disappointing. Took my boy to Spoiled Petz as my groomer left where she was and ended up here. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. The ability to schedule an appt was easy. Showing up, they took my dog and checked him in quickly and then told me they'd give me a '20 minute warning call" when he was ready. When I got the call, I went to pick him up and he looked clean, had his nails done and was sitting in a kennel waiting for me! It's not 'pretty' inside but it's efficient and they do a good job! read more

After my Australian shepherd had a bad experience at La Casa del Perro grooming where they completely shaved his whole body instead of properly grooming his double-coated fur, I was hesitant to try another grooming service. After researching, I decided to take my aussie to Spoiled Petz. The employees there were so kind and patient with my dog and me. They provided great service. Our little princess needed a quick trim and I have been wanting to have a back up groomer. It was very convenient to book an appointment online, and I was able to get her in quickly. I like having the confirmations and updates via text. We dropped her off at noon and she was ready in less than two hours! She came out so fluffy, cut perfectly for her age (6 months), and smelled like a flowering princess. Parking is busy because of the lunch rush and other businesses, but it is close to the hubby's work. Thanks Spoiled Petz for the very professional staff and business manners. 3/20/19 The twins needed grooming. Starting to look like shaggy sheep dogs. This is an updated review since now I have brought 3 of my dogs to spoiled Petz for grooming. After 4 years, they are still undeniably amazing! Never had a complaint. East to book on line and in the four years I've been bringing my fur babies to SP's, there has been minimal turnover with groomers. I have been sending my kids to Stacy for 2-3 years and she is flawless. I love Stacy and SP! My boys are always happy to go. They hug Stacy when they see her and sometimes jump on the grooming table. Great service! I had to change groomers after several years and Monica was kind with my Maltipoo and did a great job grooming her.

Left 2 small poodle dogs, made it clear of matting and we were told about how long the process would take and that's understandable. After 4 hours we got a text saying they couldn't finish the cut because the dogs were "stressed". Please note that we have gotten them full shaved at other groomers and they never had any problems. Dogs were left with half haircuts. One leg shaved and the other one not. Both dogs immediately had to go pee and as soon as they got home they went straight to there water bowls. They went 3 hours without any potty breaks or any water. Both dogs were nervous and crying on the way home and while at home. Obvious discomfort with both dogs. Got offered to finish the haircut the next day with some "more experienced". If they could've just told us that there was a risk of not being able to finish the haircut then we would've just payed a cancellation fee. read more

Dissapointed- and won't be back. I have been a customer for a couple years but recently the groomers and their service has changed. My last grooming in October was poorly done; my dog got half a haircut. I dropped my dog off for a 11:30am appointment. At 5:30 I arrived to pick him up - he had not even been worked on yet. The groomer told me it would be another 45min and she went to get him. There was multiple dogs barking in cages. I took my dog home immediately without being groomed. When he got home he was thirsty and has poop on his butt. I guess he sat in a cage all day with no water or potty breaks!. I hope Spoiled Petz ownership takes the time to hire groomers that care about animals and know what they are doing. read more

I have been taking my dog to Spoiled Petz for over a year now and have always been very pleased with their services, until recently. His appointment was scheduled for 1pm. At 7:15pm, I had not heard a word and drove to their place. My dog was wet and had not been groomed yet. He was the only dog there, so I knew all the dogs who came in after him were groomed before him. My dog is a sweet 11 yr old and it broke my heart that he was left in a cage for 6+ hours. I was told that he was given water and taken outside. I realized that was a lie when my dog had to pee before I put him in the car and then again as soon as we got home. He also went to his water bowl twice once we got home. I was so sad and disappointed. I am now forced to find another groomer who will put animals first and not overbook read more

We have a 18-month-old Golden Party Doodle named Milo, that has really curly hair that gets easily matted. As much as we tried to keep brushing him, it was an uphill struggle. Since we've had Golden Retrievers in the past, our new dog presented a whole new issue (Golden's are vacuum cleaner busters). My wife brought him to one of the big chain pet stores, but they called and said that his mats on his tail were too bad and couldn't be done. They suggested going to our vet instead, which could cost between $200-$450 (if he needed to be sedated. Instead, we returned to Spoiled Petz Grooming and voila, our dog is good to go. The groomer did a phenomenal job on his tail (admittedly it was tough), his legs, and body. Even more importantly, Milo, was relaxed when we picked him up, not stressed like he has been with other groomers. The price for all of the work was reasonable considering the work necessary. We booked two more sessions, eight weeks apart, to keep him looking great. I highly, highly recommend Spoiled Petz. Professional, pleasant, and excellent workmanship. read more

Started taking our schnauzer pup here a few mi the ago but wanted to wait and see how the first few grooming went before writing a review. It is clean and the groomers are very professional. First time in we had them do a "puppy cut" just to get her used to it. Next trip-a true schnauzer cut-they did a great job! Third time-a modifies schnauzer cut-took the fringe off the bottom die to the nasty weather causing some knots. Why 4 instead of 5? Because there were a few rogue patches that were missed on the 2nd and 3rd cuts. Nothing huge-just a few funky tufts that were missed. Overall, definiately recommend. Update: after a couple more times coming to this groomer, they seem to have found a "groove" with our pup. She gets a good haircut and nail trimming every time. (We aren't doing a true Schnauzer cut for summer-too hot for the pooch) I also like that they brush her teeth for free if we pay cash. Dog-breath-be-gone! Now that we have the cut on lock, I upped my review to 5 stars. :) read more

We have been taking our Pomeranians here for a few years now and they do a great job and are quite affordable! We like to get them shaved in the summer, as it gets waaaaay too hot for them. Their haircuts always look adorable and are very even. One of our (rescue) dogs barely lets us touch his feet, and by some miracle, they are able to fully groom him and cut his nails. Stacy, the manager, is great. Today we asked her to give our Pomeranian a mullet and it came out hilarious. Bonus: if you pay cash you get FREE teeth brushing for your dog(s)! We did this today and were so happy. Tipping: If you're trying to figure out if you should tip your groomer, please do! I get asked this question all the time. Very upset - took Our 4 month old puppy in for full body grooming. Paid 55 and bath, nails, gave trim to face, paws and butt. He is super fluffy and has a lot of fur. Because of the heat, we wanted him full body shaved. It's just too hot for all that fur. My son had taken him and picked him up. He told Them specifically what we wanted and they said nothing. Afterwards, I called to express my dislike - they never called me back instead they called my son and said they don't do full body on a puppy because it's too stressful (like all that fur is ok in this heatwave - Wth??) and that's what I asked for we were never told anything about not being able too. The next day, I got out my clippers and did it myself. He's much happier. I didn't stress him. He was calm and just let me do it. No issue. Super frustrated. Would not recommend. $55 wasted. I don't mind paying, but I wanted something specific. Ultimately they said 3 hours got him back in close to 6. Ridiculous. read more
