Anime Claw in Flushing is a fun spot, very similar to the one in Chinatown. The staff is especially helpful! They'll actually guide you on where to place the claw, and will change the plushes around to give you a better shot at winning, which makes the experience a lot more enjoyable. If you want to exchange one for another they will also help with that, too. I tried one of the blind box machines here and ended up winning Gojo, which honestly made my day. Great time at Anime Claw. Right across from Trangram mall. This spot is much cheaper than if you go to Round1 in Long Island with similar and different machines. Unlike other places, they want YOU to WIN! The young lady that was there on a Friday night was so sweet and gave us free tries because we were so close to getting the prize. We also got good pointers from her. There are 100 points for $19.90, the machine I used was mostly 7.9 credit a game, some are 12.9. Since I had a few extra credits before returning the card (not enough for a game), she let me play for free or picked a mystery prize. Of course I picked the mystery prize! So worth it! AMAZING PLACE! Best claw machines I have ever been to, inside and outside of New York. Before I jump into the machines and all I want to shoutout Kathryn, she was terrific, super welcoming, friendly, and helpful. If you read this Kathryn--sorry if I misspelled your name (correct me if I'm wrong) and send the polaroid picture my way! Anyways she was attentive the whole time walking around and enjoying our close catches alongside us while offering some tips or tricks. Some of the plushes were easier to grab by the head while others were easier by the body. Kathryn also explained the double click maneuver to everyone who came in rather than sitting behind the counter. The first click brings the claw down and the second closes it with a stronger grip than the default. If you're good at timing, it's a game changer. She genuinely cared about our experiences and that's what made it wonderful. If you want a readjustment, the staff will gladly help you out and position a prize better. There are some stuck in corners but the claws don't extend to the very edge, so this is where that's helpful. Kathryn wasn't bothered at any point so it really didn't feel like a hassle to ask her and I appreciated that. At other spots, employees might respond all annoyed and make you hesitant about reaching out, not here though. Such an interesting selection of plushes from Pokemon to Digimon, pets like shibas, Sumikkogurashi, Gudetama, Rilakkuma, and others. Also figurines from various animes like Dragon Ball. Prizes were actually desirable unlike all around unlike other places. Many of the prizes were harder to find online so I couldn't quite grasp the value, but I'm also paying for the experience, venue, and overall activity so I am quite pleased with Anime Claw overall, leaving with 6 plushes is an added bonus despite the hit on my wallet. read more

They are happy to rearrange plushies for you and make sure that you get something out of your investment. This location had great music choices as well. Definitely the best place for convenient anime merch in Flushing. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place, because I didn't even know they existed. They're located at the end of 39th Ave, farther than you'd usually walk for food (I mean, why else are we in Flushing?). They're also on the basement level, so you really don't even notice unless you're really looking. They offer a small variety of Giant-Japanese-Arcade-Chain1-style machine claw and skill games. Their prizes are actually all pretty good - but they also offer most of the prizes for straight purchasing along a walk of adorable plush toys. I can appreciate this for anyone who just doesn't have luck with claw machines. I'm always pretty lucky with them, but I appreciate the option if I really wanted something and couldn't win. They also have a small but good selection of various anime merch - from pins to figure, to stickers, to blind boxes. I really enjoyed my time browsing their shop; it's surprising that Flushing lacks a good selection of anime merch stores these days. The staff I interacted with was extremely helpful and kind (and patient...) as my group and I slowly made our way around the small shop and asked endless questions. BEST PLACE FOR ANIME MERCH AND FUN! It was my first time going here so at first I was sure, but the lady was so kind and answered all the questions we had. I bought my little brother with me and I am absolutely positive that he's gonna remember this place for a LONG time. Also if you don't want to play the machine and just want the merch, they had many other anime stuff you can just pick and buy, without having to play the machines. From the outside it looks small, but it's much bigger on the inside. It was very clean and I loved the vibes. They had a lot of Japanese claw machines and they also had other things besides anime, such as Genshin impact and Sanrio merch. Wonderful staff, but everything else about it is so terrible, it's mind-blowing. The husband and I heard about Anime Claw via a random reel from Instagram as one of the "100 Fun Things To Do In NYC." Being that our two young boys love claw machines, we made our way here. Upon entrance, I was instantly disappointed. The place is much smaller than I had anticipated. And the prizes were just not good, and let's not even talk about the quality. You have to purchase a game card, one that you have to return before you leave so make sure you only buy enough credit that you can use up. The one lady who worked there was totally wonderful though and would walk around to give wonderful tips and made sure we knew what we were doing. She was very sweet. She even helped position one doll in a claw game for us so we had a better chance at winning. She did it for our friend's 6 year old daughter as well. We never asked for help nor anticipated it, but it was greatly appreciated. One thing that was awkward was that we had played a toy vending machine and the little toy came in a plastic container - the staff asked us to return the container so they can use it again and just stood there... which was not only weird but also upsetting as my 3 year old really wanted to keep his new toy in it. Imagine ripping it out of the hands of a child? Overall I just didn't feel like there were enough good prize options... just mostly wack stuffed animals. You get there and you have to walk down some stairs that look like they will collapse any second. Once you're inside, the place immediately looked DIRTY. First time coming here with my friend and honestly from looking at the claw machines we felt like there was no hope of winning, Vivian, the staff was so helpful with her amazing tips of how to play. Today was my first time coming here. The employee who helped us was extremely friendly and attentive and taught us the double tap trick to grab the prizes. She had the most positive attitude and was determined to help us win after our many failed attempts (honestly we are just bad at claw machines lol). You can also exchange the prizes within the same machine! BEWARE OF FAKE PLUSHES DISGUISED AS AUTHENTIC I came here around the time they were doing Kirby week and ended up buying a Leo, Aries zodiac kirby and a mofusand shark cat. I'm the type of person who only buys official plushes so before I bought these mini plushies, I asked the employee that was working at the time if these were official merch. The employee assured me that all their plushes are official and authentic. They already took the tags off of them so I took their word for it. (stupid me) However a week later, I walk in another anime store and they are selling the same Leo, Aries and zodiac series of the kirby I bought. The difference and quality between the other store and Anime Claw's kirby were clear as day. That was when I realized I got duped and was sold a fake one posed as real. (I knew the other anime store one was real since it still had a Nintendo tag on it, and the outfit wasn't hot-glued like Anime Claw's were) Note: the price for the authentic one from the other place and fake one from Anime Claw were priced the same at $20 each!! For my curiosity I look online and see the same ones Anime Claw sells on aliexpress for $1.48. I finally decided to write a review when I bought a different mofusand cat plush the other day and realized the shark cat I got from Anime Claw was FAKE AS WELL. I paid $16 for a FAKE one in this place, when another store was selling REAL mofusand cats for $8. For reference, Anime Claw's tag says "Made in China" while the real ones say"Mofusand". I DO NOT APPRECIATE THE DECEPTION AND LIE. The fact that you guys are pricing FAKES higher than authentic ones is ridiculous. I get that you're a business at the end of the day, but there's no reason to have to lie and say that your merch's are real to get revenue. This place is a startup (est in 2021) so they are still fairly new. Its located at the bottom of a staircase. Employee here was helpful and kind when I tried my hand at these. He was nice enough to reposition items and give tips for how to better catch the plushies. The prizes are adorable unlike the American styled claw machines lol. I feel like staff here really care about the customer experience, and at the end of the day, the staff just wants you to have fun here and come away leaving happy with your prize(s). I even made it to the wall of "winners" so I got my pic taken haha. They also have an IG account you can follow which shows you if they get different prizes since they change it up every once in a while. This place is my new favorite hang out now after the experience we had in saturday!
