Immediately upon being seated we were greeted with a platter of fresh fruit, cucumber and mint to add to our water glasses. SUCH an incredible and unique touch/experience. The table also has two glass bottles of water for refilling as needed which I always appreciate. We started with the Bone Marrow and Queso Fundido and both were delicious. 10/10, no notes. I typically don't like Queso Fundido because it gets so greasy and the cheese hardens fast but this was flavorful, spreadable and the chorizo was a nice compliment not the main event. The Bone Marrow was exactly what you'd expect! So yummy. For our mains we got the Buenos Aires Torta (actually the reason we came to try Asadero) and the shrimp tacos. The bread for the Torta was flavorful and perfectly toasted. The steak was delicious and the chimichurri was so good I just wish there was more! My husband got the tacos and he said they were also very good! After we finished eating we were offered peppermint tea (complimentary) which was another really unexpected and unique touch/experience! The service from everyone was great. Very friendly. Quick service. The establishment was clean and so cozy but also upscale in a very chill way. Bathrooms were clean and smelled good with cute decor. Went w a group of 5 We ordered their queso, baked potato, two variations of tacos, a ribeye, an Aussie + a Japanese cut. It was honestly the perfect amount of food for us and ooo the quality! Although the Aussie + Japanese cuts were def the most pricey, we all thought the ribeye was perhaps our favorite thing on the table. The way the meats are presented, it allows you to cook it to your liking, which is super dope esp if yall all have different preferences. We all got 1-2 drinks each. For years, I'd heard Asadero was one of the best steakhouses in Seattle. My partner loves steak, so we were quite excited to finally give it a visit. We were seated at a small table right behind the cool Catrina statue at the front entrance. I had made reservations, but it didn't seem necessary as it was lunchtime and there were a good amount of empty tables. The table we sat at had a worn out/peeled center... which I later realized was probably from the heat of the stone for the steak. We ordered the lunch special with Vacio steak, and Tacos del Patron. I forgot to take a photo of the menu, but it said that the lunch special comes with your choice of soup, salad, and side... and a steak split into two. I didn't realize until after ordering that the server did not inform us of the options for soup or salad, so we received whatever they chose for us I guess. We did choose the cauliflower as our side. The price for the lunch special is about $10 more than the Vacio steak order alone. I thought it was a nice deal. Soup and salad were alright. Cauliflower was big and flavorful on the charred outside, but the center was undercooked, bland, and unpleasant. There was a sauce provided on the side that kind of helped. Even with it being split in two, they gave us plenty of steak. The knives provided weren't the best to cut it up, but they did the job. Cooking the steak to our own liking on the hot stone was pretty fun. I'd say the steak was good, but not sure if I could tell the difference in flavor between this and ones from other steakhouses. But again, it was delicious and I was able to finish my piece. I honestly didn't need the salsas/ toppings provided on the side, but they tasted good and were nice to have. The tacos were delicious, with wonderfully tender meat and well-seasoned toppings. Service was ok, but I expected more engagement from such a pricy place. This was the best steak I've ever had--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired with the salsa, every bite was perfection. The lengua was also amazing; it had none of that "weird" taste people sometimes expect and literally melted in my mouth. The service was exceptional. We sat at the bar and our bartender was both bartending and serving, yet still stayed incredibly attentive even though it was busy. The ambiance was great too--super relaxed with darker, cozy vibes. Came for the queso, stayed for the Pedro The moment he walked over, we knew we were in for a good time. He's like your cousin's best friend that you have a crush on and makes you feel like the only girl in the room. When asked what I would like to order, all the menu items faded into oblivion. His gaze, steady and sure, I asked, "Pedro, what do you recommend?..." Without hesitation, Pedro transformed into a fount of Wagyu wisdom. We sat at the bar and our bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our many questions about the steak options and wine varietals. Love that you can cook your own steak as an option! They refresh the hot plate when it gets cool, service was all around very attentive. We had the A5 Japanese ribeye and Australian waygu and preferred the latter because the Japanese cut was very very thin. We came here for a Sunday night birthday dinner with reservations and, to be fair, that part went smoothly. It was busy but we were seated right away, which I appreciated. First thing you notice when you walk in? The place smells amazing. Like straight grilled steak heaven. That said... I also noticed later that my coat and clothes smelled like I had been standing over the grill myself. Not the end of the world, but definitely a thing. I ordered the guava hibiscus sour and for a $20 cocktail, I was honestly a little confused. The menu talked up foam and a smoke bubble situation, but when it came out, there was no foam and the glass was definitely not full. I asked about it, and the explanation was basically that the foam is just for texture (then why list it?). She did bring out some smoke afterward, but it didn't really change anything. Just felt... underwhelming for the price. For dinner, I had the prime rib tacos. On looks alone, I was worried -- the steak was kind of grey and not super appetizing. Thankfully, it tasted better than it looked, so that was a win. The rice dish the waitress recommended was fine, but nothing memorable. Not bad, just not something I'd crave later. We ended with the flan dessert trio, and that was probably the most solid part of the meal. Pretty good, no complaints there. The service itself was good -- our waitress was attentive and checked in at the right times. The vibe is very moody, dark, trendy mexican steakhouse energy. It feels like a place that wants to be special-occasion dining. Overall, by the time the bill came for the whole table, I just expected a bit more consistency and a little more "wow" for the price point. The restaurant interior is moody with lots of darker tones of red and wood, ideal for a date night or more intimate with friends. I split an appetizer of the guac and chips and enjoyed the assortments of salsas that came with it and the few pieces of sourdough bread, I thought that was fun! I ordered the Ribeye medium-rare and thought the flavor was yummy, it also came with a chimichurri sauce and a salsa. I couldn't tell under the dim lighting, but I think my steak came out more rare (which I did not mind) however, it was such a thick cut, it became a bid tedious to chew -- it did not quite melt in my mouth which was disappointing. Guac could be more flavorful and i wish the tortillas were like chips and easier on the teeth they were a little too hard. This is by far one of the most creative steak houses I have been to, plus having A5 wagu. That was totally worth the price. It is totally worth every penny. The meat comes on a sizzling heat plate, (see video) then you take it off and cut piece by piece to Cook the slice of what you will eat. This steak was amazing. If you haven't had Japanese wagu before this is a must. It is nothing like Australian. We also had the baked potato, 10/10. The crème they use is delicious. Every time I come home I long for Asadero. Not many if any steak houses besides Asadero that I make a must eat. The Zabuton is still as good as I remember. Flavorful, tender with a good amount of fat but not too much. Plated on a hot stone with salt and a cutting board on the side for the Zabuton so you can decide how well you'd like it done. I love my steaks on the rarer side as pictured. Carne Asada for those who love tacos. The salsa plate is always great. Bone Marrow is a must. Service is always friendly and very educational, the new choice of fruit/cucumber in the water is a great choice. Was visiting from out of town and came here based on a recommendation. Had reservations so getting seated wasn't a problem. But the first problem came when we checked in. The hostess informed us that because of some POS system issue they couldn't take VISA cards, which is all that I had. When asked what other options there were, she said "you can buy a gift card on our website and then pay with that, or go find an ATM." I don''t know why but that kinda rubbed me the wrong way. We ordered a couple of cocktails, a queso fundido appetizer and then for mains we had steak tacos and the "El Zabuton" (an American Wagyu steak). I'm from the Southwest and this was the saddest queso fundido I've had. It supposedly had chorizo in it but you couldn't tell. It tasted just like melted mozzerella cheese. The steak tacos were unmemorable. The "gimmick" here is that the steaks come out on super hot cast iron pans, so that you can "cook them to your preferred doneness" which is stupid to me because when you order your steak they ask you how you want it cooked. I'd prefer them just cook my steak correctly for me rather than me have to do it myself. Basically it means you get a very underdone steak and have to finish cooking it yourself. This might be okay except you're paying premium steakhouse prices to cook your own food. Speaking of prices, a pretty standard baked potato was something like $25 on its own. Finally when the bill came, I had to go through this awkward process of seeing how much the tab was, then buying a gift card for the amount on my phone, and then paying with TWO separate gift cards because the highest denomination they offer didn't cover the whole bill. Also, since I wasn't sure how to tip with a gift card, we awkwardly had to ask our waitress if she had Venmo so we could leave her at tip. It was technically against the rules per the waitress but we insisted because I didn't want to stiff her on a tip because of an issue that wasn't her fault. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

This is one of my husband's favorite Seattle restaurants. Asadero is the perfect compromise for us: he craves quantity, I prioritize quality, and Asadero delivers on both. The steak is flavorful, and the toppings (pictured) are a highlight. He orders the Vacio every single time. He'll get it rare and let it finish cooking on the hot block for the perfect medium-rare sear. We also love starting with the chips, salsa, and guac. Omg!!! I'm picky. Those that know me and even those that love me, would be shocked to hear me announce I was in heaven while eating my Filet Mignon Flight! It was too good to even risk letting any of the filets get cold so I focused on them and barely touched the sides to work on the amazing Japanese and Australian beef in front of me! We were only in Seattle for a few days before our Alaskan cruise, and one day after, and I convinced the hubby to come back after our cruise, for that one last day! We celebrated my son's birthday with a reservation for 7:30 , got in around 25 minutes earlier due to hard to find parking on the streets, Place was busy with Saturday night dinner crowd, but was seated as soon our time was up. Small area for dining but ambience was pleasant and service from Armando was great, helpful navigating us through the menu . We started of with some drinks and cocktails, then some Appetizers of Fundido melted cheese which was delicious served on tostadas and tortillas with different kinds of sauces. It didn't have as much cheese and was a bit bland. Most of the baked potato was plain. I was also a little disappointed with our server. We told him it was our first time here and he wasn't really helpful with the menu. He didn't really describe what everything on the table was for either. We noticed the server 2 tables down was really good at explaining things yet ours was not helpful at all. However our steak was delicious but would have been helpful if he guided us more on the different steak options. Overall for the 3 items without any drinks, our total came to $150. Writing this review for specifically our server Emily! She was amazing! I loved that she didn't try to sell us on things just to make our bill higher, she was honestly and said 3 potatoes would be too much for our group which we really appreciated the honestly. When the food came out it was pretty crowded with the hot stones and just all of us at the table so she helped us maneuver some of the stones to the middle and take away the extra. I just thought that was SO thoughtful and that was just above and beyond service. We love her and her energy! As for the food, we have been so many times and it is always so delicious. Took my wife to Asadero for her birthday and I'm glad we did! We've been wanting to go here for months but never had the chance because of availability. We started with the guacamole which came with tortillas and bread to dip. The guacamole was nothing special but that's what made it good! We used the sauces and pickled onions that they provide to add to the flavor of the guacamole. My wife got the NY strip on the hot stone with a side of rice. They asked her to check doneness before she started eating to make sure it was cooked perfectly, which we appreciated. I got the Parilla Sonora which came with American wagyu, beans, and an Anaheim chile relleno. It was delicious! Both steaks had the perfect seasoning, but with the hot stones it over cooked. Especially my American wagyu because they were thinner slices. I'd recommend getting the steak cooked a bit less than you normally would then let the stone cook it to your liking. For dessert, my wife got the arroz con leche and I got the flan flight. Both desserts were really good. The flan flight came with a corn flan, a chocolate flan, and a cheesecake like flan. At the end of the meal, they bring you some tea to help digest your food. Overall, we loved Asadero and their great service. We now understand why it's always booked when we try to go.
