i was in the mood to try something different and decided to pop in here for a bite at lunch. Luckily it had just opened so there weren't many people in the restaurant and we were seated quickly. To my surprise their food was delicious and very flavourful - i cannot believe this restaurant was here for YEARS and this was my first time walking into it (I've lived in brampton for over 30 years in the same neighbourhood). I had the mild Dosa because i didnt now how spicy their food can get, but definitely will try something more medium next time as i realized i can handle more spice than i assumed. I found the Dosa very light and fluffy and definitely not greasy. The waitress was kind enough to explain what all the sides were as well! Definitely a recommended place, especially for vegetarians!

Cauliflower 65

We have been to this place so many times, and every single time it has amazed us with the quality of the food. Be it Cauliflower 65, Chilli Onion Dosa, Veg Kothu Parotta, Onion Pakoda, Sambhar Vada, Katharikkai Kuzhambu or even just the buffet. Definitely serves one of the best South Indian food in the area (and probably Toronto). My favorites would be Onion Pakoda and Veg Kothu Parotta. The flavors are great. While the buffet is good, they haven't sectioned out veg and non-veg separately, so everything is kept together which may be uncomfortable for some. Where they need to improve is the service which is, sometimes, awfully slow and otherwise slow, in general. So, if you are really hungry and want something quick - don't come here. This is more of a relax dining place. There is shared parking which is generally available, so that is never a challenge.

Had high hopes. Always smells so yummy when ever I am in the neighborhood. Was disappointed tho. Whatever you do. Do not order the fish briyani. It smells and tastes like .. the ocean. So fishy. Do not order! The rest of the meal is okay. The garlic butter naan was good. 3 people 80 dollars. No drinks. Definitely could have been better meal.

I have been here twice and loved it both times. I would definitely go more often if the wait times were not very long on the weekends. Their buffet was amazing. I was craving some vada and idli and it definitely satisfied me. They have many varieties of their breakfast/brunch buffet. Their tea was just perfect.

Tried their dinner buffet menu for 16.99 CAD. Wasn't extravagant in terms of the variety served but whatever they had was perfectly South Indian and delicious. Desserts had just 2 options, nevertheless Gulab jamuns served made for it. Ambience : 4 stars Service : 5 stars Food : 5 stars Variety : 4 stars

Crispy fresh vada

Of all their locations in GTA, this one is the best in terms of maintaining consistency. We love their crispy hot vada, Vanjaram fish fry (not available daily, can't figure out the schedule), podi dosa and kada dosa. Everything smells, feels and tastes fresh. I know its nothing to rave about but man the lemonade rocked during our last visit! I'm not a big fan of their buffet though. It sounds economical but its tough to maintain the same standards during 'mass production' I guess. Service is friendly and plenty of parking space in the plaza. Give it a try folks!

Came here with a friend who is authentically Indian - born and raised and gave birth to his two (pre-teen and teenage) daugthers in India ... In his opinion, this is the best Indian buffet around. I agree that the food is very good but I wouldn't say it was the best Indian food around ... I feel as though I have had better and another downside is that the selection is extremely limited :( I think there were less than 10 main dishes to choose from and often times, the popular dishes would be all gone. The most popular dish was most surely the dosa. The dosa bread(?) itself was very light, chewy, and crispy, with a hint of sour. It was pretty good ... when you could get it. The spicy soup (traditional to South Indian cuisine) was very yummy. My friend was worried that it would be too spicy for us but I loved it. I often judge an indian buffet by its naan bread and I can't say I loved the naan. Too bad :( My son really loved it though, haha. He couldn't get enough :) The place reminds me of an Irish Pub with some Indian embellishments and flair. The dark wood, the bar, the layout ... all remind me of an Irish pub! Service was okay ... I felt bad for the waitress. I think there was only one waitress and she was working the entire room. Service was a little slow and spotty but you can't blame her. She was thin and looked tired. Maybe my expectations were a little too high and this is why I was disappointed. Not too sure about the prices since I didn't pay but I have a feeling they are probably not too outrageous.

On Monday we decided to go for an impromptu work lunch, just three of us. I suggested dosa (my favourite South Indian food). My co-worker suggested Anjappar and I'm so glad she did. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table. There were two options: Buffet or menu, we chose buffet. The buffet was fresh and contained many items I was familiar with, as well as a few that were new to me. We had a co-worker that doesn't eat meat, which was fine since the buffet was about 75% vegetarian. The dosa with the potato masala was just awesome! Spicy and crispy! I also tried other items, like the Lentil Rasam and chili fish. Everything was great. Can't wait to come back, with my family this time. Any chance you can open one of this in Newmarket or even Markham? That would be even better!

Glad to find such a nice South Indian restaurant in Brampton. Orderer the ultra spicy dosa, it was killer but very tasty. The place is clean and staff is friendly. Recommended

I had been to the Indian branch of this place, so I was very excited to try food here... placed order for veg Thali/meal and masala Dosa. This is what I thought:- Quantity: 5/5 Quality: 4/5 ( it's pretty close to south Indian taste but not totally there yet, but if I crave for south Indian food, I will come back) Ambience: 5/5 Service: 2/5 (the only thing they lack at for me is service, it's slow and the servers really didn't pay any attention to the our order, tried calling a server and reminding her of my order, but she didn't even listen, and when I tried pointing out this thing to their cashier, she was rude and made me feel that it was my fault, no apologies what so ever) Overall, I feel it's pretty good, but would have been excellent with better service. Will definitely visit for the food

My family took us to this south Indian restaurant. The staff is really friendly and this place is well maintained. I went there for dinner which is really good it has vegetarian and meat items on the manu which is really good for both parties. When we got there in the evening time, it was crowded for dinner. We ordered the chef's special the Anjappar chicken with Aloo Kulcha & Ceylon Egg Parota. Also, I grab the Masala Dosa or the Ghee Dosa which is delicious but mainly I love the presentation, the Dosa comes in the shape of a long tube lol. To drink I usually grab their mangoshake since its soo good. If the shake hasn't filled me up, for dessert, I either get the fruit salad with mango ice cream or the Falooda. If you want the full Indian experience make sure you try their authentic Indian tea. If your down for something new try this place :)

Good place for family outings. Though their food is little inconsistent, overall good food.

First time coming to this restaurant and actually first time eating at any restaurant in Brampton…read more Came here as a big group of 42 and they gave us a closed off section right by the entrance to the right just behind the soft drinks section. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted to a very clean and modern ambience that reminded me kind of like some of the big buffets in Las Vegas. Very cool setup where they have 3 self serve fountain drinks which is included in your buffet price. In the middle they have a grilling area where they are grilling Basa fish, salmon, chicken, sirloin steak. The steak was amazing they put this butter, garlic garnish on top that makes it so delicious. I had 8 of these steaks this evening! They also had a stir fry, soup noodle where you can choose your own ingredients, different vegetables and protein and carbs for them to either turn into a stir fry or soup noodle. They had plenty of ice cream to choose from as well as a soft serve ice cream machine. The service provided by the employees were top notch, so friendly, and helpful. Very pleased with my experience and just to note my visit was on a Friday night so your good selections may be different depending on a weekday or weekend.

The sushi rice was overcooked, and the sushi kept falling apart every time I tried to pick it up. The food prepared at the live cooking station was very watery, and the salmon was dry and lacked flavor. The customer service also did not meet my expectations, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. The chef's cooking felt rushed and, in my opinion, lacked the care and attention I usually hope for when dining out. Even the dessert was a letdown. My 9-year-old commented that the ice cream toppings were disappointing, which was surprising considering how simple that part of the meal should be. To make things even more heartbreaking, this was my birthday. I wasn't expecting a big celebration or for the staff to sing to me, but I had hoped for a small gesture, a simple slice of cake with a candle or even just a sincere "Happy Birthday" from the waitress or a manager. I understand restaurants aren't obligated to do this, but a little hospitality on a special occasion can leave a lasting positive impression. Instead, I left feeling disappointed. I traveled all the way from Scarborough to celebrate here, and unfortunately, it will be my last visit. Positive: Unlimited lemonade Great ice machine. Pizza was "all right"

The only thing that I didn't like the first time around, and didn't like this time around either, was the lighting. It was much too dark in the restaurant, even though it was daytime. We were even sitting at a table near the bar, which had potlights however, it was still dark. We were served by Nimrat, whom brought over our menus, and allowed us ample time to order our items. I had settled on butter chicken, with a side order of regular naan, and plain rice. The food took a bit long to arrive however, since there were seven in our group, I understood why the food took longer to prepare. However, once the food came, I was very happy with how delicious everything was! The butter chicken came in a large dish, which was placed on top of a small pot with a flame inside, which kept the butter chicken hot during my entire visit; this was a great addition to the meal! The naan was an excellent accompaniment, along with the plain rice; everything was well-prepared, with the perfect amount of flavouring. It also wasn't spicy, which is perfect for my taste buds; this chef definitely knows how to cook an excellent meal! Nimrat checked on us regularly, filling our glasses with water, and taking away any dishes that we had finished with. Even the owner came by to greet us, and ask how we were enjoying everything. Overall, this place had excellent food, with wonderful service provided by Nimrat, and beautiful décor. The only thing that I didn't like was the lighting however, I would definitely come back.

After my glowing review I decided to come back…read more Unfortunately, what I didn't fully understand was that to show up on a Saturday night without a reservation (for a Chinese buffet?) would result in a 1.75 hour wait. But I waited it out in their tiny waiting area. When I got in, the food was good but not great. I later learned why... I got terribly sick during my visit and spent the rest of the evening with a stomach bug. Did I get it here? Before my visit? I dunno, but I don't think it was related to the food itself. So I will let my 2024 review (which I posted under the wrong location at the time) apply to this one. PS: the room I was seated at this time had a magnificent 20' tall waterfall. 2024 Review: I have never been on a cruise ship or two a resort hotel, but I imagine the experience I had here would be comparable. Finding this place, which is located in a commercial or industrial warehousing district, would be challenging without GPS. Upon pulling up we thought it might have been an old hotel at one point. The entrance is grand, though, and nicely decorated. When we walked in we were met at a greeter station and introduced to a guy who was our "guide" around the buffet. He pointed out the various stations and featured entrees as well as his favorites (I suspect they are told what to say), and then led to the "blue room". Named because it is entirely blue in an almost Disney-esque way, it had one wall composed entirely of a fish tank! We took turns getting our food and watching our toddler, and there were lots of options here. Of note, nothing was especially great but nothing was terrible either. Many of the American-Chinese dishes were missing, but in their place were more things geared for kids. They had a full dessert station with lots of pies and cakes and cookies. They didn't have a lot of seafood but that was fine with me. They had sushi and a prime ribbing carving area. They had a koi pond and a panda display and a gift shop (!). In all, it was like walking through a movie based on a Chinese buffet. This is the flagship restaurant of the Mandarin chain and not all are like this. They told us about their signature "sweet and sour chicken meatballs", which are like sweet and sour chicken except each piece is the size of a golf ball. I remembered these were common in Toronto and not in the USA and now I know why. I don't think the food was better than average, but the experience was mindblowing. No doubt it is built into the price, but what a fun experience it was to come here. I would love to come back for a special occasion.

There are plenty of servers, and they were all polite. They served you a wet washcloth before your meal. The buffet was adequate, with multiple hot and cold stations. I went during Canada Day, when they had extra items such as Canadian-style ribs and ice cream with maple syrup. The food quality was satisfactory for a buffet. There were limited seafood options and included multiple ways of cooking mussels, shrimp. There is a sushi station with basic fare. There is a fruit station, ice cream station, cake station. There weren't many "expensive" Items, such as crab legs, but that's okay. Service was good, ambiance was good also. Food was above average. It was $45 for one adult for a weekday dinner.

The dishes, glasses, and eating utensils are dirty as well as the water jugs. The bathrooms, floors, and food pots were also extremely unsanitary. The staff are evidently lazy and do not care about customers. They do not even have a debit card machine but instead they think it's smart to have a sketchy-looking ATM that charges an extra $4.00...so I pay an extra $4.00 for my poor treatment and my meal that tasted like trash. The exterior looks like a ghetto and they tend to cram all of the customers into one room. When I was on my way to my table (in a very crammed dining room), I saw four other empty dining rooms, one of which had a pissed-looking chef eating a meal by himself on his break (YES IN THE EMPTY DINING ROOM WHERE CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE). All of the staff have a miserable look on their face like they shit themselves. The food was terrible, old, and kept in unsanitary pots. The food looked re-heated. When the food pot was low, they would simply pour more food ON TOP OF THE OLD FOOD so that way the older food could rot at the bottom. The pots weren't even consistently heated and thus was a breeding ground for nasty bacteria. Only 9 hours after eating at that shit-hole, I became ill and experienced symptoms of food poisoning. I reported them to my local health-agency and I hope they get shut down soon.

Split pea soup & peanut porridge/soup (if it was porridge it was too thin) were pretty good. I asked for seafood crackers from two different wait staff and was advised they didn't have any. So I went to the matre d' and asked, she went into the back and brought some out for our table. If you serving lobster and crab, the restaurant should either provide crackers or pre- cut the claws ready to eat.
