The food here was so good. We came with a bus tour, and they expertly handled not only our bus of 38 people, but two others at the same time. Our tour mgr chose this restaurant. They can handle lots of people buffet-style. Tables were set with water and bread when we arrived, however they had placed bottles of a sweet citrus tea on the tables as opposed to asking our beverage preference. Not sure who decided that was a good idea. Interesting because they did come around to tell us about their wine options. The quantity and variety of the buffet was fine, efficiency quite good and wait staff were all kind, however the quality of the offerings was lacking. Booked the Flames Castle for a special occasion. Getting seated and having drink orders taken was all good. However, on the down side the service was not very good. There was plenty of wait staff on site but communication between staff was quite poor. No one ever came by to see if we needed anything or to ask if we wanted additional drinks or the like. So we found ourselves having to constantly hail wait staff. A large portion of the weekend buffet was seafood. You would expect that when serving lobster and crab the tableware would include for seafood crackers. This is not the case. I asked for seafood crackers from two different wait staff and was advised they didn't have any. So I went to the matre d' and asked, she went into the back and brought some out for our table. If you serving lobster and crab, the restaurant should either provide crackers or pre- cut the claws ready to eat. With regard to the food, I would have thought they would have served some rolls or bread but we had to ask for this special. As well, most all the food was cold. So all in all, I expected more but a 3 star rating is about all I would give. read more

Been wanting to try this seafood buffet for a while now and it is very difficult to get a hold of them by phone to book for reservation, but finally we got one and came early dinner on a Friday around 5:30pm. They are doing a promo currently $50pp as its usually I believe $70pp. The interior is old school vibe church decoration feeling with some antique stuff. I'm here for the food and not much on the decor tbh. The spread is all laid out in a L format. Its not the typical buffet spread of having appetizers, mains and desserts and such. In fact, I didn't see any desserts but you can order for additional cost. Appetizers I guess are the salads... There were a few meat options there, but I was there for the seafood spread... They had octopus chunks, squid rings, shrimp, cold crab legs, lobster with tomalley, fish, mussels... Surprisingly, i thought the octopus, squid was quite good in taste and texture. The lobster was a bit tough like the old Mandarin buffet days with overcooked lobster but had tomalley to enjoy if you like that. Overall, I think its simple spread but enjoyable. For the promo price point its good. They also have live music performance as well. Better to go early so the food doesn't get cold and less crowded. read more

Came on a Saturday evening for the seafood buffet. The food was okay, the ambience was great, and the service was decent. If you want good food, I do not recommend the seafood buffet (I cannot speak to the a la carte menu). Mind you, I came at 5pm and I'm not sure when their dinnertime begins, so it's possible the food was the leftovers from before. But the seafood was cold and generally seemed like they were flavoured from the same sauce. All the little finger foods were bland, and even the rest of the meats were dry or just ok. There were only 2 warm dishes I would probably eat a second serving of: the salmon and the spaghetti. Even the bread was hard to eat. If you want variety, they certainly have a lot. But for the price, I would not say it's worth it. If you just want somewhere for the ambience and decor, it certainly looks like a nice fine-dining restaurant. Amazing place I came here over a year ago and had the Brazilian style service where they cut the meat at your table and that was really good. This time Saturday we came for the buffet. I have to say it is a seafood dream!! Lobster, shrimp different ways, rice, paella, mussels, fried fish, excellent steak, bbq Chicken etc, etc and more and more. Porteguese style spices, excellent! Take a look at the pictures. The people were friendly and service with a smile. The ambiance is open and it does get loud with everyone talking. The Saturday we went they had live music which was actually good, some oldies. A must try if you like seafood. read more

MISERABLE EXPERIENCE! I made online reservations for 10 people on Fri Dec 15 for 8:00pm to celebrate a holiday dinner with friends. I called in to confirm the reservation and increased it to 12 people. When we arrived the lobby was flooded with 30 people & there was no hostess in sight. I asked a waiter to confirm my reservation and he said he would check with the manager. They started setting up the large table for the party of 30 people at 8:30pm. We waited for our party to be seated next, without receiving any update from anyone. I asked the waiter again for an update at 8:45pm and he said they were waiting for people to leave...? We waited until 9:00pm and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there wasn't a manager in - after he originally told me he'd confirm my reservation with the manager...? What a PATHETIC display of unprofessionalism and COMPLETE lack of organization! Our holiday dinner was ruined because your establishment does not now how to manage reservations?! I will be sharing my dreadful experience online and with anyone I speak with. You should be ashamed and embarrassed at your lack of hospitality and service! read more

I tried this place on a Friday night and there was an amazing signer signing my favorites:) Service was amazing Im a vegetarian accompanying a seafood and meat lover. Came for a friends birthday dinner. The place is beautiful, the musicians was great, and the service was good. For a seafood buffet at $68 per person we found it pretty reasonable. They had a few dishes that were good, i personally like the salmon. While I was there for all the crabs and lobster, they come cold and warm but not oh boy there were no flavour to anything. Even after having to ask for butter and hot sauce, it still lack. It's a place to try but not a place I would go for the second time. read more

First of all, I want to comment on the ambience. This isn't just a restaurant. It is also an events venue. It is absolutely gorgeous. And everybody was dressed so beautifully. It is definitely a place where you can wear your most beautiful clothes. The food is excellent. it's traditional Portuguese food done beautifully. In particular the dish that I really really loved was the cod. Oh my gosh it was so tender and yummy. The staff is great. Food was horrendous! I reserved my table 3 weeks in advance and was placed in another room right beside the bathroom.. the sea food was cold and bland no flavour! Definitely never coming back for 68$ I could've gone somewhere else and eaten way better and pocketed some money ! read more

All the seafood were dry and bland. I couldn't eat much. Definitely the worst seafood buffet I ever had. The waiter pushed the buffet on our two kids also saying the chef was busy. Kids didn't eat much but got charged the full seafood buffet price. They only wanted the steak. I don't review much and really enjoy most buffet.
