My husband and I stayed at this Marriott property for 3 nights this week. This hotel markets itself as a 3.9-star property, but it fell far short of that standard. From the moment we arrived, the hotel had an unpleasant odor and felt dated and poorly maintained. Our first night, we found a beetle crawling on the ceiling, wall, and counter. To the hotel's credit, they moved us to another room. Unfortunately, the replacement room had old, dried blood on the comforter, which was completely unacceptable. And the glass shower door opened 6 times, sliding back and forth during our showers. The customer service only made matters worse. During our stay, t the front desk manager, Kyle, appeared to genuinely try to help; however, our interaction with the Assistant General Manager, Brandy, was disappointing and the worst we've ever experienced in 30 years of traveling. She was dismissive, rude, and had an unprofessional attitude. Her solution was to offer complimentary parking and take off food charges, which was subpar at best. They really don't need to have a restaurant in there, and the brunch was canceled. That might have been meaningful if the hotel hadn't already failed to disclose the $34 daily parking fee before our stay. Considering this hotel is in a rural area with an open parking lot, charging $34 per day for a rural area is a joke and then they gave us coupons to the disgusting restaurant. Between the cleanliness issues, the insect in our room, the blood-stained bedding, the unexpected parking fee, and the poor customer service, this stay did not come close to the quality we expect from a Marriott property. My husband, daughter and her fiancé wanted to find a brunch location after Easter Mass. We choose Marriot at Eagle Crest and made reservations as we were on our way from attending mass in Ann Arbor. We were kindly seated even though our reservation did not appear on Terrance Room computer system. We were told that the system was not downloading the information. The waitress was very pleasant and attended to us very promptly. The food array was great with many options including an omelet station. There was a sign by the buffet stating $25.00 a plate. The shock came when we received the bill with a total of $348.00 broken down with these prices: * 4 Easter Brunch 256.00 (64.00/per person) * Brunch Bloody Mary $10.00 * Brunch Mimosa $10.00 * SERVICE CHARGE $52.44 * Tax $19.71. * TOTAL 348.15 Stunned we contacted the waitress, who then asked the manager to talk to us. We explained the situation regarding the posted sign on the buffet table at $25.00 per meal and we were not aware of the Easter Brunch cost of $64.00. After some discussion he was willing to give us a 20% discount. Not being satisfied, we asked to talk to his manager whom he called and returned stating that the F & B manager (Jordan Hoffman) increased the percentage off to 30%, so the total bill was $260.00. Listed below are some of the reasons why the price that was posted was not honored according to the day manager. 1.) The sign was a mistakenly positioned. Someone forgot to remove it. 2.) We should have received an email for the confirmation with the intended price of the meal. BUT........................ a. We did not get the email until we finished our brunch. b. After reading the email, the price was not included in the narrative of the notification. 3.) The price is on the website of the Marriot at Eagle Crest BUT............................ a. Stopping at the restaurant was a "off the cuff" decision. The price of the brunch was not easily visible. b. No indication of the price near the hostess station. c. No idea that the venue would add a service charge! I am very disappointed and feel "ripped off." The experience put a damper on the Easter morning with family. I would not recommend this venue at all................... Very rigid with a lack of empathy! read more

We discovered that the workers were part of a state effort to recover from recent storm damage loss of electricity in the area. They are all hero's. The smoking situation is pretty bad but they are helping people in need and I don't want to criticize them for that. I also want to mention that the restaurant was quite good and the grounds, thelandscaping are stunning. Ask for Nick, he is a sweetheart. "I got you ! ", is his moniker, and he does. He is very attentive and makes every effort to let you know you are important and that he wants to make sure you enjoy your meal. read more

I stay in a lot of Marriott properties each year - this is my 9th this month alone. To be honest, I feel like I got a little catfished with this hotel. The hotel is under construction and it was never mention in any of the pre-communication leading up to my stay. The elevator memo mention it's going to be happening for 2 months! I had to request a room away from the noise. The photos were giving off new or recently remodeled vibes. I will admit, the lobby was model and well decorated - you can tell it got a makeover. The rest of the hotel, not so much. As soon as you walk into the elevators you step back in time. The hallway carpets are worn and ripped. The room had a few updates but again, it was worn. My drain didn't have a stopper. The lounger chair had weird spots on it. The security latch on my door was broken off. Low quality shampoo and body wash were provided, something you'd find in a Courtyard or Fairfield. Overall the experience was underwhelming for a Marriott. Self-Parking was $30 a night in a parking lot that was right in front of the building. That's a bit expensive in my opinion. read more

I stayed at the Marriott Eagle Crest recently while attending a wedding. The hotel has a spacious lobby and bar area that was the perfect spot for meeting before the wedding to catch-up and after to recap the evening's events. Our king room was large and comfortable with comfy bed, good lighting, and awesome shower water pressure. The closet space was super small. Really not desirable for anyone wanting to hang more than a single suit. I ended up hanging my long dress on a doorframe. Overall, we had a great stay! read more

Came here for a weekend long conference and stayed on the 8th floor. The service is over and beyond top-notch, friendly, kind, and helpful. The Concierge Room on the 8th was really convenient and I appreciate it all of the amenities. Overall, a fantastic place to host a large conference. From talking to other attendees, out-of-state and local, we all enjoyed this venue. We cannot wait to return next year and the year after that! read more

It's so old and the elevator, hall ways and rooms reflect that. Stayed Saturday and some sort of event was going on outside. They had music blasting and lights flashing until midnight. So much so, our noise machine couldn't drown it out. After traveling and just wanting to rest in a clean and somewhat quiet hotel, this ain't the place. After my disastrous and traumatic stay at the Embassy Suites in Livonia, I booked a one night stay at the Ann Arbor Marriott so I could be closer to the airport for my 7:30am flight. I checked in around 10pm, got my keys and made my way to the room. The lobby was spacious and had plenty of seating for groups to hang out in. I didn't take much else in but there were parts of the hotel that I did notice could use some updating. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. No complaints throughout my stay. read more

If you take a piece of crap - cover it in gold guess what you still got? The best thing about staying here is the restaurant at the golf club next door. Understaffed, underwhelming, and certainly all show and no go. 2K nights at Marriott and I called the front desk to let them know I ordered Uber eats. Their room service menu looks like it was copied from the local elementary school. No call at all when it arrived. 3 people at the front desk just having fun while I pray that the scallops are still salvageable. I grow tired of businesses that just think they can just smile, and apologize for their lack of professionalism and accountability. This hotel is great! Loved my stay here for a couple of reasons: - The view from the room is fantastic. There's a golfing range in the hotel's backyard, expansive views of the rolling green "hills", and the lake is so beautiful. - The lobby has power outlets! I feel like usually Marriott doesn't have power outlets in its lobby, so it was nice to have these to work with. - Its in a very close proximity to North Bay Park which is this beautiful park that I would highly recommend. Overall, very nice stay at this resort? The only thing I didn't love was that the ceilings were very low so you may feel a little bit claustraphobic, but for the price of a room, this Marriott is great! read more

This place is amazing. I mean ALL AROUND. I'm a sucker for amazing food, huge rooms, and most importantly - amazing customer service. I flew in from the West, had not eaten all day and low and behold Nick greeted me at the View ( the bar / restaurant ) - I ordered the steak. It came with a beautiful Cesar, gorgeous fries and perfectly cooked steak. Natasha our food runner was spot on - kind and sweet and checking in. Tonite we met amazing Matt - the other bartender. I am hands down in love this place. And it all starts with the front staff when you register - fab. And yo they got a full 18 hole course. I'll be back. read more

Location central to Detroit and Ann Arbor, came for the homecoming against Iowa and discovered the away team often stays here, lucky no 1am for alarm evacuations, LOL Great views of the Eagle golf course and but a short walk or hike to a Great Lake Park. The hotel is dated old Marriott property with remodeled rooms. Not fancy just their typical garish decoration, wonder who does this, they are terrible. The staff is great, but boy they are undermanned, really need a couple extra people helping as Lounge was closed due to no coverage. For the value a tad overpriced but I guess for the gold proximity might be worth it, do they know where they are! read more

We had 2-1 week stays at this property which were really nice. The hotel overlooks a beautiful lake and golf course. The sculptured grounds even in winter are kept up nicely. The inside concourse (I'll call it that as it's huge) is a lot larger than some other Marriott properties. There are many intimate quiet places to sit as well as group seating/meeting areas that offer several plug-in options for your laptops, phones etc... They also have comfy private seating places if you need privacy. The main floor offers a bar and easy access to their numerous banquet areas both large and small. Our room on both visits (top floor-8) was clean, neat and orderly. The property is very well maintained. If you have status with Marriott, the concierge room (M club) is inviting, comfortable and a nice breakfast and hot and cold snacks at night. The Lounge" is the dining room option here offering breakfast/buffet, lunch and dinner. All the food is fresh and pretty good. read more

When I checked in, unlike previous stays at a Marriott, my status was not acknowledged. As such, I do not know if my room was upgraded. The front check also failed to mention the ability to check out late. Since my flight was in the late afternoon, I would have appreciated checking about past noon. When I returned to the hotel the first evening, I noticed a large group by the hotel bar. On my floor, the seventh, I could hear noise coming from the bottom of the hotel. The noise lasted last midnight. I thought it was due to alumni celebrating for the college football games the following morning. The next day, I mentioned to the front desk about the noise. I was told there were two wedding, an American and an Indian one. The celebration of the Indian wedding would last a few nights. Although he mentioned the hotel is not designed to host weddings due to lack of sound proofing, it has not stopped management from booking them. Like the night before, the noise of the Indian wedding lasted beyond midnight. During pre-pandemic times when housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily, they would not clean the room on the final day until after the customer checked out. I had only been gone for approximately 90 minutes to have brunch in Ann Arbor. I returned and saw my room cleaned. Toiletries I wanted to use were removed. Unfortunately, the room will have to be cleaned twice in one day. For the next customer staying in my room, I HOPE the room will be cleaned again. read more

Facilities are recently upgraded though managers admit they are still working out some of the kinks. Ex: my room's phone didn't work and AC did not go lower than 68° (is that the norm?). Plus, the lounge is currently locked and out of use. However, staff was very friendly. Rooms did look nice. Events spaces were lovely. The two stars this hotel earned was based solely on the folks who work there, who were all wonderful, very good at their jobs and delightful to interact with. I've stayed here a number of times over the past decade or more, usually to speak at conferences that are held there. This past visit, which was a few weeks ago, I noticed a significant decline in the quality of the hotel since I was there even the last time a couple of years before. (I should mention that, as a conference speaker, I don't pay for my room -- so I'm not seeking any kind of refund, just being honest). I agree with others about cleanliness and outdatedness -- the two phones in my room read, "Press any button to be connected to [department]." None of the buttons worked. I ended up calling 0 to access things like room service, and told them about the phones, which they offered to replace. But dialing 0 is just as easy. Room service was my first disappointing situation. I ordered a salad, and the person I spoke with was very kind -- I actually couldn't get room service to pick up (I don't remember the time, but may have been a peak order time) and the person I spoke with in guest services took my order and placed it for me. That was great. About an hour later, though, he called back to ask me how the food was -- and I told him it hadn't arrived yet. He called the kitchen, and I got it within about 20 minutes after that. The salad was really good - but the glass in which my ice water came was dirty, with a ring of lipstick around it (I wasn't wearing any, so I know it wasn't mine). Posted a photo of this. The next day, I ended up having lunch downstairs in the restaurant -- and again, the food was fine -- but the place smelled like a bar that hadn't been cleaned up yet from the night before. Again -- staff absolutely lovely. It's the actual structure that needs some TLC. I'm a Marriott rewards member, and as others have written, I think this is atypical of this hotel's brand. I imagine it does a ton of business, given its proximity to the university and golf course -- but given it's appearance and functionality, there's no way I'd suggest this hotel to others, I'm sorry to say. read more

Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti @ Eagle Creek was where I landed for accommodations while in town for a work trip. The proximity of this hotel to the highway makes it easy to get in and out for any type traveler. It offers beautiful views of Ford Lake and Eagle Crest Golf Course which are mere steps outside the hotels front entrance. North Bay Park is within short walking distance from the hotel and worth your time to decompress after a long day. The employees were accommodating and quick to resolve several issues that presented themselves during my check in and initial room inspection. Not my best Marriott experience & not my worst. I've stayed here a few times, the signage and golf course grounds are much more impressive than the hotel itself. The check in staff are very nice and efficient. The hotel is verrrry dated. Particularly the rooms. The ceiling in my room was so low it felt dark even with the curtains completely open. The king-sized bed was entirely too soft for my liking. I know some people prefer soft, I'm not one of them. I did request extra foam pillows and they were helpful, I slept propped on top of them so that helped! There are a couple of restaurants on site including a bar but I did not eat at either of them. I did use the bar! First night my bartender was Courtney, she was a doll. Next night was Matt and he was even better. Great service. I probably would not stay here again...even though the service was really good, I just need a better sleeping situation. read more

It has been two full weeks since I stayed at this hotel during the weekend of October 20th, and still can't believe that I was the victim of an attempted room invasion by two young males, wearing black masks and black hoodies at approximately 10:00 pm, while I was relaxing in the room! Luckily they didn't get in as the door was double locked, and when I yelled at them through the door they ran up the stairs which were directly across from my room. Immediately after the incident, I contacted the front desk personnel and advised them of what had just happened, and asked to speak to a manager. The two young ladies at the front desk said that there wasn't a manager on duty, nor did the hotel have any security cameras or security guards; to which I was SHOCKED! One of the young ladies was very dismissive and didn't seem to care at all about what had happened, but the other seemed concerned and asked if I would like the police to be called. I said yes, and eventually the police responded. Upon arriving, the police asked me about what occurred and said that they would walk the hotel to see if they could locate the perpetrators. (Knowing that it had been approximately 30 minutes since the incident took place, I had very little faith that they would locate the culprits, which they didn't!) I asked the front desk personnel if I could move to another room for the evening, and was told that wasn't possible. I also requested that the General Manager contact me whenever they came back to work to discuss the related circumstances. As of this writing, absolutely NO ONE from Marriott has ever contacted me to discuss what happened. I have called both the hotel and Marriott corporate offices numerous times, and have been told each time that no one is available to discuss, and that someone would get back to me at a later time. It has now been two full weeks, and I still haven't been contacted by anyone from Marriott! This is a gorgeous hotel! The rooms are very up to date. Large and spacious with a modern comfortable decor! The beds are so comfortable! And the shower are amazing(2 shower heads... glorious). The staff is always pleasant and professional! They go above and beyond! The only negative is the hotel permanently closed their pool for some reason. They charge $32 for parking now, in an empty parking lot the size of a football field. They said it's to pay for security. This should've already been installed. Apparently they want to gouge their customers to get the money they should've already spent years ago. This is in Ypsilanti, not Manhattan or Chicago. I was just at this hotel attending a wedding and staying at the hotel for a few days. First off I called about two months before to book my rooms and I had requested two rooms with two queen beds and a roll away bed in each room as well as a king bed. When I made the reservation on the phone and online it allowed me to book roll away beds with the queen rooms, I also requested early check In because my flight landed early. When I got to the hotel they told me that my rooms weren't ready and they gave me a room to relax in till my rooms were ready. They also told me that we could not have roll away beds in the queen rooms only in the king rooms. The first room they gave me out of three, smelled horrible and the tables were all dirty as well as the bed sheets and the bathroom towels were wet. I requested to move rooms but it took them four hours to get me another room and the smell from the room gave me a bad headache. When I received the roll away bed in my king room the back of it looked filthy. I have attached a picture of it below. And when we had packed and left my daughter realized on the way to the airport that she had forgotten her vision glasses that she needs to drive an hour to school everyday. I called them on the way to the airport because she had remembered that the case was white and that it blended in with the bed sheets so she forgot it. When they picked up and told me that they would look for it the next day because housekeeping was gone for the day. I told her that one of my relatives was leaving the next morning so she can give it to him and I gave her all of the descriptions. He went down to talk to them right after I got off the phone with them and he asked to get a key to look in the room and have someone come with him, like an employee or manager to search for them. They denied it and said they would do their best to look for them. The next day the housekeepers cleaned the room and "couldn't" find them. I searched all of my suitcases just in case I thought she had misplaced them but I was sure that they were left on the bed and they stole her glasses. This is ridiculous! The lady on the phone was giving my daughter attitude when she called to ask if they had found them. This hotel is horrible, aside from the view it is not worth the money. They don't have a safe in the room, no microwave, very tiny closet, and one small drawer to store your belongings in. I do not recommend this hotel at all! read more

Ordinarily when you stay at a Marriott you get an email the next day asking about your experience. Because I did not get an email from Marriott, and I have things to say, I decided Yelp was a good place to start. This is our 3rd stay at this Marriott as our son lives in the area. The hotel is located in a beautiful area (on a golf course, close to a great walk around Ford Lake) but is very isolated if you don't have a car. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. At our most recent stay I had a few issues. The hotel is not very clean and the rooms in particular are dated. The floors were dirty as was the carpet right outside our room. I've featured a couple pictures of examples. Once in our room I found two random black socks on the floor - not ours obviously. Many surfaces were dusty. We discovered we had the option to put a hanger on our door telling housekeeping not to clean our room. We were able to do that for 3 days in a row with the bonus of 500 Marriott points given for each day the room was not cleaned. That sounded good to me. On our 4th day I removed the door hanger so they could clean and we could sleep on fresh linens. In addition to removing the hanger I let the front desk know we wanted our room cleaned. The front desk called housekeeping to let them know, then we left for the day. When we returned 6 hours later, we walked into our room expecting a clean room, fresh linens and new towels. And...you guessed it. NO one showed up. I immediately called the front desk. The woman who answered apologized and told me she would give me 1000 extra Marriott points. Nice gesture. I'm not sure that happened since when you check your points for a particular stay the total is not broken down so now I have to take time to call Marriott and double check. We had requested the concierge floor when we checked in. I hoped my husband would have an area to work other than in our room. That was not the case and it ended up not being worth whatever the extra cost was for that floor. First of all the lounge is only open in the morning until 10:30. Then it closes until 5pm when it reopened until 10 or 11. The breakfast food was mediocre. The concierge was friendly and welcoming but VERY loud. She would yell a welcome whenever anyone came in. Fortunately our room was down the hall but if we had been close we would have been woken up by her greetings starting before sunrise every day. The evening time - when I expected some wine and some kind of appetizer - had neither. There was a full fridge of water bottles and another of juices. The evening "food" offerings were all junk food. Chips, candy bars, M&M's, high sugar trail mix. This was very disappointing. No concierge host that I could see. While I like the location of this hotel and getting Marriott points when I visit my son I am not sure I would stay at this hotel again. read more

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have been impressed with their accommodations, the location, atmosphere, and the staff. I recently booked a large conference for www.TDICLUB.com - it was our annual large get together. The booking process was great and the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. We have held previous events at venues all over the country, including at the Dulles, VA Hyatt Regency and this Marriott ranks at the top of our list! We received numerous compliments from our event attendees. The venue was perfect for us - large parking lot, nicely appointed guest rooms, great food, and good pricing. The bill at the end of the event was exactly what we were anticipating - no additional charges or sneaky fees like some other hotels are known for charging. One minor complaint I had that was addressed quickly by the maintenance staff: Some rooms have motion-sensing thermostats that turn off the HVAC units when the room is unoccupied. This is great in theory, but in practice it can turn out to be a bit frustrating... the A/C turns off in the middle of the night when you're sleeping because the thermostat isn't sensing any movement. I ended up waking up in the middle of the night being too hot and informed the front desk. Engineering disabled the thermostat and restored the unit to manual controls within an hour of notifying the front desk. If you're in the Ypsi or Ann Arbor area, this is *THE BEST* venue in the area. I'd describe this hotel as one that "does the job." If you aren't used to 4, 4.5, or 5 star hotels then no big deal. But the rooms we got in my opinion were pretty overpriced for what it is. I'm pretty sure they newly renovated the lobby and other common areas (like convention area) and they aren't bad at all. The view of the lake and golf course if you go to some of the upper floors of the hotel is actually pretty nice. To be fair, everyone I dealt with at the front desk was very good and professional. Any positive opinion I have of this hotel is mostly because of the staff who works there who were all great. Otherwise this is solid 2 stars for me if not for them. My friends had a wedding here and took a 2 double bed room as part of their block (pretty much the only thing available). I heard that the rooms were renovated but I have a hard time believing that. If they were, then I have to wonder where the money went to. If not then it makes sense. I'd describe everything as adequate. If you need a place to sleep then it does the job. Not the worst hotel and certainly not the best or in the same universe as the best hotels - it just does the job as a place to crash. However, the walls are paper thin and you can pretty much hear everything from everyone in other rooms. Not sure how they can fix that without spending a bunch of money, but just beware that you might be able to hear your neighbors' conversation quite easily. The lighting in the bathroom area with the sink needs work too. I was also able to see some of the suites which were a step up from what we had, but still not that great. All in all, I think our rooms were $140/night pre tax which is a bit overpriced to me. Not that I think it's expensive, but for what you get I think it's overpriced. Keep in mind, I've stayed in legitimate 4.5 star hotels in the middle of downtown Chicago for less than $75/night more than this. The beds are OK but I'm not sure why they offer double beds as opposed to Queens. The first night I barely got sleep while trying to sleep in a double bed with someone else. Neither of us are big people either. If I had a suggestion for the sleeping arrangements of these double bed rooms it would be to ditch double beds and be like everyone else in the US and get Queen sized beds. All in all, if you just need a place to stay then it does the job. Just go in realizing this is not anything but that (apart from the golf course - I can't comment on that). This is a Christmas Story.... I'm from Ypsilanti, and travelled to my hometown for the Christmas Holidays in 2019. This place is in Ypsilanti, irrespective of its usurpation of Ann Arbor in its name. It's right off of I-94, so Ann Arbor is a convenient five-minute drive on the freeway. I stayed on the eighth floor, the executive suite. Very quiet, and a far better room then I expected. Two televisions, a fridge, a cavernous bathroom, very luxuriant bedding. But, here's the best lowdown: The joint was vacant. Apparently, hotel stays are rare over the Holidays. The concierge lounge was closed, a perk I particularly enjoy. The Hotel accommodated me. Free breakfast coupons, free drink coupons, free appetizer coupons. All the stuff for the pampered glitterati of the Executive Suite tony populace. The service was helpful, timely, professional and knowledgeable. My experience compels me to singularly praise Lucrecia at the front desk, who seemingly worked endless hours on the holidays, yet remained helpful and down-right warm in her approaches to lend high quality services. Let's face it: All the nice amenities are virtually meaningless if a place fails to have professional and helpful service. I am pleased to report that this is a clean, well-run, warm and helpful place to stay over Christmas. read more

Ok so this review is long overdue. But at least I'm coming from a point of staying here well over 20 times in the last 13months. The staff: extremely polite, personable, and accommodating. Whether it's the front desk as you enter or exit, you are jet with smiles and a 'welcome back' or 'enjoy you day'. It helps add character to the entire facility and staff. If you are there often(such as myself), they remember your name. Staff at breakfast: Again, very polite and manner-able as if you entering into their own home. Check in is never a problem, always a breeze. The grounds are very nice, and if you stay there in the late spring, summer, and early fall, they offer on Thursdays a band on the grounds. Any other night, when the weather is nice, you can sit outside around the fire pit with snacks and drinks to unwind. The only only not so good thing about this hotel is that it is old so the rooms are your contemporary modern rooms(still have flat screens and media center, but the facilities are outdated). They are in the process to undergo renovations. The other item is that they do not have as many selections of King size beds. This is a huge disappointment for me since in my profile, I prefer a king(same as I sleep on at home). Besides, those items, you will be very much treated at home during your stay there. read more

I can't give this property 4 or 5 stars due to the cleanliness and the outdated rooms. The service was outstanding, as I usually receive with them....but that still can't outweigh how gross the rooms were. First off they smelt like feet upon walking into the room. I found an old nugget under the A/C (eeeekkkk!!!)....and then there was the dried blood on one of my towels. Verryyyyy gross. I probably wouldn't stay here again if there were other options and I wouldn't really recommend this place to anyone else. read more

Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest is the epitome of hospitality!! An all around amazing stay and experience. The receptionists and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. Lovely view overlooking a lake and golf course. My family and I stayed here to attend a wedding but the hotel staff allowed us to make it the most memorable family reunion, and without a doubt it exceeded all our expectations. We stay here every year for the beer festival and we normally really like our stay. This stay was different, our Elite Members room had mold and falling ceiling tiles. I felt like I was staying at a motel instead of the Category 5 Marriott hotel. I called down and asked if they had another room but unfortunately they were completely booked. If we would not have been drinking at the beer festival, we would have left. But being the responsible adults we are, we decided we better stay. We ordered french toast from room service for breakfast in bed. When it arrived we quickly realized we should have went down for breakfast. Our french toast (2 orders) were cold, hard and covered with burnt frosted flakes. We called down to the front desk because they were not edible and told them about our food. They asked if we wanted anything else, my husband said yes pancakes and I said no, just remove my french toast from the bill. When we went to check out there was a ridiculous long line. We waited anyway because I wanted to show them the mold in our room and the falling ceiling tiles. When I showed the manager he just said ok, I will get maintenance to spray it. Then he handed me the bill, I quickly glanced and noticed they still charged us for both french toast that we ordered for breakfast. Went I glanced back up to the manager he had moved on to help other complaining guest. I asked the receptionist if she could remove it and she said the manager would need to do it. Well after ten minutes I asked if they could just remove it and send me an updated email receipt, she agreed. Well it's been a month and that french toast charge is still there; I'm thinking they either forgot or felt it didn't need to be removed. Think we will be looking for an updated, mold free hotel for next year's beer festival! read more

Personally I find this the best full service hotel in Ann Arbor, although it is actually in nearby Ypsilanti. The staff and service are always good and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. They have upgraded toiletries which are a plus - have to admit that I really like the shampoo and soap and always take some home with me whenever I stay. The concierge lounge is decent for breakfast, evenings passable too - oh for the days when you got a comp glass of wine too. Flat panel TV, free wifi both good. Beautiful setting on the golf course. I have never had noise problems that others mention. My primary issue is the price - usually very steep, hence I stay elsewhere frequently - but I always look here - and stay whenever I can get a room for $100 a night or not too much more - then definitely the best value in the area. read more
