We stayed at the EVEN (our first and probably only time) for the University of Michigan's 2025…read moreParents' Weekend, Sept 12-14th. We booked the hotel months in advance due to the high demand and difficulty getting hotels for Parents' Weekend. Upon our arrival, the pool was closed and out of service, but the hotel seemed clean and our room (a "suite" -- a bedroom with a separate living room with a single bathroom in the bedroom, was necessary for us as our daughter stayed with us and used the pullout couch) was decent. It even (kind of oddly) had its own stationary bike and yoga equipment. First night was uneventful. The second night (Saturday, Sept 13th) was not. After a long day of pre-game activities with our student and his friends, then a big football game and then dinner, we retired to our hotel for a much needed night's sleep. However, at 11:45pm, we were shaken from our sleep by loud fire alarms urging us to evacuate (we assumed). We hastily dressed and went down to the lobby. There was no smell of smoke or evidence of a fire. Firemen were roaming around, although no one (not a fire representative nor anyone from the hotel addressed nor instructed the guests about what was happening. We all just assumed we needed to leave the hotel and wait outside in the parking lot. Finally at 12:15am, a man who was likely working at the hotel almost indecipherably said guests should go to the adjacent hotel across the parking lot and wait in their lobby which we did. Someone heard the cause may have been carbon monoxide but nothing was officially announced. At 1:20am, we were summoned to return to the hotel whereupon the same man from the hotel informed everyone that the hotel was unsafe to re-enter and stay inside overnight due to high levels of carbon monoxide. However we could quickly enter to retrieve our belongings and then exit again. And, the kicker was that were to find our own accommodations for the night -- at 1:30am in the morning, on Parents' Weekend. No assistance was offered. No inquiries about guest well-being nor apologies for any inconvenience. The whole situation was appalling. To this day, we are still waiting for the general manager to call us back, as promised, to discuss compensation. This is a horribly run establishment and I can't recommend anyone staying here. I would give it ZERO STARS if I could.

Other than the check-in person, who was not very welcoming, this is a great place to stay! I liked…read morethe room, comfy newer bed, and in room fitness equipment. Parking was free and they have plenty available.

I really loved this hotel for several reasons but my only problem is the bed made me SUPER itchy!…read more): What I loved: free parking, friendly staff, free breakfast (restaurant style not continental), printing, nice gym pool and jacuzzi, a modern and clean room, and workout equipment in the room! What could have been better: WiFi, rooms aren't too sound proof (could hear the college students at night), and my bed )-: I was in room 248 and the first night, I felt itchy during my sleep. (Btw I shower before bed lol). The second day, I came back from work and took a nap and was extremely itchy again. I got up, showered, and went about the rest of my evening feeling better. When it came time to go to bed again, I woke up within an hour feeling severely itchy and couldn't sleep it off ): Timothy, the staff who helped me, was very kind in accommodating me and moving me to another room! (404). I still felt a bit itchy (maybe that was residual?) but at least better than my first room. But the problem with this room was that I could hear the traffic and planes so if you're a light sleeper I'd suggest bringing earplugs! I really would love to stay here again but I'm just afraid of my itchy experience ): I've stayed in many hotels and haven't had a reaction like this before!
