This restaurant had the rep of being the best breakfast restaurant in Abbotsford. I was there yesterday with two friends and we agree the breakfast was excellent. I had sausage, eggs, potatoes and toast. For me the governing factor always is the potatoes. They were the very best - mini spuds lightly fried (I think). The service was excellent - endless coffee. The decor is retro 50's and up. Only negative is that the site is difficult to find. We used my car gps and an iPhone to zero in. Business appears to be good so maybe help is not required - if that changes perhaps an "A" board near the street if allowed might be helpful. All in it was a positive experience. read more

We were in the area and checked yelp for a place to eat. It was hard to find, nestled in the back of the building the entrance was through an alley. It was good to know the parking lot wasn't empty, which meant people knew to come here since it's not visible off the main street. My husband ordered the eggs benedict- It's probably one of the best he's had. And I had a burger with mushrooms also really good. What we liked about it is they used local ingredients and everything tasted cooked to order. We love supporting locally owned restaurants compared to typical franchised joints. read more

The bmt skillet was soooo good. There was just the right amount of the yummy hollandaise sauce, and the bacon and hash browns were crispy. The yolk was just the right kind of runny, and all the onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes were seasoned perfectly. Probably the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Everything tasted really fresh. Service was prompt and the waitress was smiley and friendly. The communication between the staff was really good as well. I was really excited to try this place after looking for a high rated breakfast spot before the motorcycle show. Decor is a 50's diner and staff are super nice. Prices are reasonable. We had eggs Benny, asked for medium, came out soft. Not a big deal, I love eggs regardless. But the hollandaise was out of a package and that was a bummer cuz I'm all about the hollandaise. This was my first visit after hearing lots of good things about the food and service. I went for lunch and was surprised at the decor and size of the restaurant. Quite big and in a '50's type decor. Service was prompt and friendly. The place was full and noisy as a chicken coop at feeding time. I had the tuna sandwich special with fries. It was OK although for some strange reason there was a spice in the tuna which made it hot and masked the great tuna taste which I love. Not great! The menu is certainly varied and well priced. The plates which passed by my booth looked good so I'll be back but not for the tuna sandwich! Maybe a burger or fish & chips which looked terrific. read more

My first experience was breakfast. I had the eggs Benny and the kids had the pancakes. The food was great and service was also excellent. Second visit last week was also very good. I had the burger and it was very tasty. My only complaint is the patty was similar to a pre made one. Maybe it was the ingredients in the mix but not my favourite. That being said the food my family ordered was eaten up and without a complaint. I would go back anytime without hesitation. Can't say enough good about the staff. I am a big fan of diners and diner food and this place delivers exactly what I'm looking for. I come into Abbotsford about every other week for work, and it's a nice treat to pop in for a full breakfast before work: the thing I appreciate most about Ann Marie's is that they're open early. Coffee has a good flavour despite being brewed weaker than I like... which I expect since one pot has to serve many palates. Every dish I've had has been great though I haven't ventured into Benny's yet. The daily special is usually too alluring. I can't think of anything I would change to make an improvement, so five stars. read more

The decor is a little to plain and sterile but I do like the historical photos of various service stations in the Fraser Valley. Food and service is above average and breakfast appears to be their best offering. (If you can't get breakfast right, you shouldn't run a restaurant!) I find that Anne Marie's lunch offering lacks luster but it is passable, yet there's room for improvement. Overall, an epicure type like myself should be satisfied with the Anne Marie's experience. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I have sampled quite a lot of it and have not yet been disappointed. Currently I'm on an omelet kick. They are soooo goood!!! As another reviewer also mentioned, I too appreciate the tomato substitute for spuds. The thing I like best about their nostalgic decor is the historic photos of Abbotsford.
