Chicken Waffle Sandwich

Always love coming here, even before I developed a gluten allergy. The treats are SOOO good! Coffee is great. The Chicken Waffle Sandwich is a legend! Thank you, PF, for catering to a group that does not have too many safe havens!

We ordered lunch on a somewhat busy Saturday the customer service was great. They were friendly and helpful. The wait was quiet long, but we were told that ahead of time it would be a while. We grabbed a chicken sandwich and the vegan BLT on ficca bread. Both of the sandwiches were great. The sandwiches are served alone, with no sides. They're filling, and if you're more hungry they do have treats you can buy. They have great seating that is accessible to everyone, just mind the steps outside the door. And because they are a gluten free bakery their prices are a little high, but it is almost typical for any gluten free item you'd find.

At this time, The Polly Fox is only doing takeout due to covid. A cute shop in Downtown Abbotsford with absolutely delicious coffee!! A big bonus for people with allergies is that it is both gluten free and peanut free! The baked goods were also on point. Can't wait to be back to try more of their menu items!

1/2 a cheese bun. So good!!! (Has onions and tastes like garlic)

Polly fox is my must visit gluten free bakery in Abbotsford. Every time I make a trip out that way I make it a point to stop by and pick up some gluten free goodies. A lot of the time I preorder some items since I'm travelling all the way from Vancouver and they do some times sell out. My favorites are their cheese bun which has a bit of green onion in it (it's so good), their whites chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie and their cinnamon bun. They also offer donuts which they rotate flavours every so often. They're usually sold out by the time I get there so I've yet to try them but will definitely preorder one next time!

If you are looking for AMAZING Gluten Free food this is the place!! The pizza was amazing, the avocado toast was great and the cookies are super! Yum yum yum!! We will be back the next time we are in Abbotsford.

Seriously the best gluten free bakery I have ever been to! Whenever I am in Abbotsford I make sure that i stop by! Make sure that you get the focaccia bread, it is to die for! (and you wouldn't even know that it was gluten free!) And the Keto Avocado Toast is my absolute favourite! The bread is moist and soft just like regular bread! And they use homemade almond milk from Habit (no gums or fillers here!)

This is such a cute cafe. Completely gluten free with vegan options. Seating is limited so waiting is an option or take it to go! I ordered the blt on waffles with avocado. It was delisious but a lot of food. I wish the waffles were smaller. But i will be back for sure.

Now I loves me some gluten and I'm also a non-vegan, but the Polly Fox is worth a shot. I had the veggie sandwich on the focaccia bread, and it was actually really tasty. Loaded with tomatoes, arugula, avocado, sweet peppers, and smoked cheddar, this sandwich was a legit vegetarian option and yet also offered some satisfaction. We sampled some of the vegan and gluten free treats and they were...okay. The chocolate chip cookie was dry & crumbly and didn't really offer much, but the Nanaimo bar was pretty good. I don't know if I would ever go back but I can cross it off of the Abbotsford list.

Duft & Co Bakehouse - Almond croissant and an Americano

I was really looking forward to going to the Duft & Co for a while and saw all the delicious baked…read moregoods they made from their Google reviews. When I went there, however, I was a little disappointed that it was not as extravagant as I was hoping. Their choices in baked goods were very scarce. When I arrived there I found out that they do not serve their breakfast/lunch menu, but instead the daily special advertisement from their indoor sign. I ordered the Mozzarella & Caramelized Onions Focaccia bread and their cappuccino. The focaccia was great with the caramelized onions adding succulence and flavour that stood out. The cappuccino was good, nothing special though. I also had their Almond Butter cake, which was good as well if not a little solid to eat. There was not much to talk about the interior ambiance of the café and there was not much space inside, unless you go to the back of the café. The staff was very courteous in serving me and has a good deal of knowledge about their business. My experience at the Duft & Co Bakehouse was pretty good, and I would like to give them another try. However, it will be a while because of their obscured business hours would be hard for me to come around.

I've been dying to try this bakery for awhile and each time I have failed and it's no one's fault but mine since they were either sold out or I came on a day they were closed. So this day I planned ahead. I got there ten minutes before opening which always makes me feel awkward but a line was already formed outside. Once they opened you go in and are greeted with a wide array of pastries and baked goods. I picked quite a few but will say that I'm biased as I went to pastry school and well this was the best croissant I've ever had. It was flaky on the outside and nice and buttery on the inside. You can tell that they worked hard on these and laminated them perfectly. The coffee was good too but the pastries stole the show and I will be back.

I really enjoyed my time there and got to socialize with some of the guests that came. I even had the opportunity to try the café's drinks and desserts. When I came as an Oscar party guest, I was given a Charcutier plate and a glass of wine when I gave them my ticket. They were a great appetizer. As for their menu choices I had the Salted Vanilla Bean Latte. The drink was fantastic and did not need any added sugar for taste. I also had their Cortado, and I found it strong yet flavourful. I had their Cookies'n'Cream cake, which I found very rich yet enjoyable throughout eating it. The interior of the cafe is very modern-looking with a lot of space. I like the mild lighting inside the business and the fact that they use garden lights and antiquated furniture adds some hospitable quality to it. The staff were very courteous when I was there, even when they were busy hosting the party. Overall, this is an excellent café to go to frequent at and would very much like to stop there again.

The baked items are good depending on your preferred flavours (I.e. my husband didn't like the ham and cheese croissant because it had mustard ‍, but loved the other breakfast sandwich) I would have loved to try some of their coffee/matcha milkshakes! (Yes you read that right.. MILKSHAKES). The baristas were super friendly, and they measure out their coffee for their drinks so you know it's going to taste the same each time. The inside is VERY spacious, with lots of seating. The patio was lovely, however the seats were not very comfy and there was no garbage/recycling out there. YES, I would recommend this place. Will I travel the 10-15 min from my parents house to get coffee again? Probably not... ‍
