I came to the Polly Fox for dessert and better coffee. I ordered the Cappuccino and the Vegan Apple Fritter. The fritter was very crunchy and flavourful. The cappuccino was strong yet very good. The establishment was pretty modern looking with mild lighting and had a very relaxing aura to it. Even on a Sunday, it was not too busy or crowded when I stayed there. When I came there a second time, I have ordered the Avocado Waffle from their breakfast menu that has recently introduced. I also ordered it with the Spanish Latte.The latte was fantastic and did not require sugar for flavouring. The waffle was soft and crunchy like good waffles should be while the avocado was surprisingly good on the waffle. The Hollandaise sauce that came with the entrée on the side was exuberant. The Polly Fox is an amazing café best enjoyed during breakfast or brunch, so you could try their breakfast menu. Even then, their coffee concoctions and unique baked goods are worth trying. Went there only to pick up GF breads. Said they had baguettes. They do not. They have a log of heavy white rice-based bread with a vaguely baguette-like exterior and shape. But heavy as a brick, with no bubbles in it and, worst of all, not crispy exterior. False advertising or wishful thinking, but deffo not a baguette! read more

Since going gluten-free, I miss donuts so much. When I saw that the Polly Fox had fresh apple fritters, I thought I would try taking one to go. I took a bite. It was like the heavens opened up and the rays of sunshine spread out and my whole being was enveloped in gustatory goodness. The exterior was *perfectly* crispy (not too little, not too much). The interior was softer than your favourite childhood blankie. There were so many real tender apples inside. It was exactly the right level of sweetness - a perfect complement to the pastry without overwhelming it. I savoured this masterpiece of culinary artifice as I drove home, thinking of how good the world had suddenly become. I finished it just as I arrived home. At that point, I spontaneously turned around, drove back to the Polly Fox, and bought five more. Even after two days in the fridge, they were still amazing. These are the best gluten-free donuts I've had in twenty years. They might be the best donuts of any kind that I've ever had. It's been two months since this revelatory experience, and I'm still salivating as I write this review. Don't miss these donuts. read more

We ordered lunch on a somewhat busy Saturday the customer service was great. They were friendly and helpful. The wait was quiet long, but we were told that ahead of time it would be a while. We grabbed a chicken sandwich and the vegan BLT on ficca bread. Both of the sandwiches were great. The sandwiches are served alone, with no sides. They're filling, and if you're more hungry they do have treats you can buy. They have great seating that is accessible to everyone, just mind the steps outside the door. And because they are a gluten free bakery their prices are a little high, but it is almost typical for any gluten free item you'd find. read more

Not a huge choice of options but that makes it easy. Fairly quiet inside despite nearly all the tables inside have customers. Very tasty and unique vegan sandwich on focaccia bread with hummus. Polly fox is my must visit gluten free bakery in Abbotsford. Every time I make a trip out that way I make it a point to stop by and pick up some gluten free goodies. A lot of the time I preorder some items since I'm travelling all the way from Vancouver and they do some times sell out. My favorites are their cheese bun which has a bit of green onion in it (it's so good), their whites chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie and their cinnamon bun. They also offer donuts which they rotate flavours every so often. They're usually sold out by the time I get there so I've yet to try them but will definitely preorder one next time! read more

Three underwhelming experiences... Pointing out a burnt baked I purchased and being told "no it's supposed to be that colour and taste" Waiting almost an hour for a sandwich and ending up late for an appointment Being told to get up and leave a table "because it was cleaned for someone else" Place has minimal atmosphere... white sterile walls. Baked goods are a bit on the dry side. Their focaccia bread is much better. They do awesome churros, but I only find them there at random times. Definitely worth buying if you see them. Coffee and drink cups are on the small side, so consider bringing your own cup. Closed Sunday and Monday, so plan accordingly. Also, they are a bit on the slow side for making orders so give yourself extra time if you go. read more

Now I loves me some gluten and I'm also a non-vegan, but the Polly Fox is worth a shot. I had the veggie sandwich on the focaccia bread, and it was actually really tasty. Loaded with tomatoes, arugula, avocado, sweet peppers, and smoked cheddar, this sandwich was a legit vegetarian option and yet also offered some satisfaction. We sampled some of the vegan and gluten free treats and they were...okay. The chocolate chip cookie was dry & crumbly and didn't really offer much, but the Nanaimo bar was pretty good. I have been to the old location and the new one. I must admit, the old location was far more convenient for me and wish they hadn't moved. There usually isn't a line and will be greeted promptly. The greeting wont be the warmest though-staff don't smile too often. Their apple fritter is amazing-just enough sweetness. The pizza is a good gluten free option with interesting toppings-although nothing beats real gluten-crust pizza. The chocolate chip cookies taste like cookies made with gluten flour- really soft, thick and just enough sweetness. Recently, I tried the BLT on a gluten free waffle, it was an interesting juxtaposition of flavours that worked really well together. Caution, it is big serving, I suggest sharing with another person. Eh. That's my reaction after having lunch here. Apple fritter was tasty but.. I've had better elsewhere. Vegan baguette sandwich was pretty bland and small portion for the price. You'd be better off eating a much tastier, flavourful sandwich for the same price at many other spots in Abbotsford! Doesn't come with anything but the little sandwich. If you're looking for a place with tons of vegan (and gluten free) baked goods, try it out! It's just kind of expensive and the portions are so tiny, paying what I paid was kind of discouraging and a let down. I wouldn't bother with the sandwich at all, either. The original GF bakery in Abby, and a real gem. I'm glad they moved from their tiny and hot first location. The new place has great ambiance. I like a lot of what they have on offer and that I can eat there 100% safely as a celiac. The only reason I didn't give them a five star rating is because their stuff has a lot of sugar in it, and they don't have any choices without. When I mentioned it to them, they didn't take me seriously and got kind of offended. If they had that, I would be a huge fan. I am grateful for PF and hope they continue to do well. read more

I have a gluten intolerance so I am always trying out gluten free bakeries. I am happy to report that the baked goods here are right up there with the best I have ever tried. These baked goods are dangerously good! This gluten intolerance has kept my diet in check without having to have alot of self discipline .... but not anymore :) Love those apple fritters! read more

Recently went back again and my son had a bit and convinced me to buy the vegan baguette. Wow!! Amazing. No one would know it's vegan. Looked like it might be hard or tough but was divine. Soft but a nice crisp she'll to it.
