Best Dosa we have had in the Tampa area! Crispy, flavorful and not too oily. Great food truck with outdoor seating available.

Heartbreaking food shortages for wedding catering and poor management - Proceed with caution…read more We chose Flames Indian Cuisine for our multi-day Indian wedding based on the owner's personal assurance that because the restaurant was local, they could not run out of food. Unfortunately, the reality was a bride and groom's worst nightmare. The planning process was incredibly stressful. It took weeks to get a finalized menu or contract, and we weren't even able to settle the payment until the week before the event. Communication was consistently delayed. Despite paying for a 200-person guest count and having fewer guests than contracted, we ran out of food at nearly every event. This was witnessed by our guests, the venue staff, and our wedding planner. When we confronted the owner, he blamed our guests for "eating too much" rather than taking responsibility for under-preparing. He promised an internal investigation and a resolution within a month. It has now been three months, and despite numerous follow-ups, he has completely ignored our attempts to resolve this amicably. In Indian weddings, food is a pillar of the celebration. To have our guests waiting 10+ minutes for refills that never came was embarrassing and a clear breach of our contract. I would strongly advise any couple to look elsewhere if you want a caterer who is professional and honors their commitments.

I usually get takeout from Roti, but we decided to dine in today. First, let me say that the food…read moreat Roti never misses. I had the Lamb Curry with Rice and Garlic Naan. I swear they're adding something addictive in their food because I always plan my next trip to Roti WHILE eating my current meal. The restaurant is cute. They've done a great job renovating the place. It's quite cozy with a combination of booths and tables. They have a buffet for lunch, so I plan to make that my next visit. I was shocked how busy it was. Their to-go orders are non-stop. Even though there were few patrons dining in, the rotation of online order pick ups was unbelievable. This is why the kitchen was fully staffed and the servers were widdled down to one. Don't go in there and expect stellar service. The waiter answers phones, runs food, and takes orders. He's a real life Superman, but he has split focus. Because the kitchen is so fast, you don't have time to feel neglected. Overall, I'm still a super fan. I'll probably stick to takeout, but it's my go-to spot while in Riverview. Highly recommend you give it a go.

The appetizer arrived after I had finished my meal. They offered to take 10% off the bill. Overall the restaurant was clean. The bar that is included in the name is not open. Instead it is being used as storage.

I got the chef special Bangoli Fish Masala. There is a choice of bone in or boneless fish. I got the boneless fish. The gravy of the Bangoli is very special and delicious. The only thing is the fish meat is only three pieces. The restaurant just open two months. The wait for the good is normal. Great spice in the curry gravy.

It was around 4:30 PM, so I wasn't sure they'd be open, but they were already serving, so I drove over. It's a new spot, open for about a month. The two ladies running the place were very attentive, and I happened to be the only customer around 5 PM. Normally, when I visit a restaurant like this, I order three or more dishes to sample a variety and enjoy the leftovers at home over the next few days. But since I won't be home until midnight tonight, I went with a single dish to test the waters: chicken tikka masala. I give that an A--flavorful and well-prepared. The rice was decent (I'm not a big fan of rice in general), so I'd rate it a B. The service was excellent, also an A. I even tried the rice pudding, which surprised me--I usually don't care for it, but theirs was genuinely enjoyable. Another A. The only downside: they don't have a tandoor oven yet, so the naan was the store-bought kind you'd find at an Indian grocery. It didn't quite match the quality of the entrée. I'd give that a C. Hopefully, they'll add a real tandoor to their kitchen soon. The ambience is typical medium sized family owned restaurant, but bright and easy. The toilet was also well lit, and clean. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more dishes. Promising start for a new restaurant.
