    Bang Bang Chicken Dirty Rice

I finally made it to Shiso Crispy and was excited to give it a try! Since it was my first visit, I asked for a recommendation and was told the Bang Bang Chicken was their most popular item. Of course, being a little greedy, I also ordered the Wagyu gyoza. The service was quick and prompt, which I appreciated. The food was decent overall, but I may need to give them another shot when I'm not absolutely starving and inhaling everything in sight. Definitely willing to try more from the menu next time!

Cute food truck that had really good chicken. The sauce was really tasty.there was a very small seating area.

We came to Shiso Crispy for the vegan options and they knocked our socks off. The vegan Bang Bang Chicken and BBQ Jackfruit dirty rice were beyond tasty and super filling. They even had vegan crab Rangoon at the Tampa truck which was amazing. Highly recommend.

I ordered the BBQ short rib dirty rice for delivery. It was just okay, but it was not what I expected. The short rib was not very tender and overall it gave more like pulled beef over bbq flavored rice. I didn't get much flavor from the other things on the rice.

Definitely worth the bucks cause it is so filling. It is tasty, however, I personally would add something acidic, like kimchi or pickle, to enhance the flavor. Recommend getting this to share!! It is a little food truck in a parking lot downtown. There are some seatings which are nice to sit to people and car watch.

It is about 3.5 stars. The food truck price is almost the restaurant with physical address price. It is a tall task for the value of the food to compare a sit down order restaurant. We got the ahi tuna rice plate. The slices of ahi tuna is a bit little less for the value we have paid. Event the side is less of number. Overall is a good to try and been there.

We came here on a Saturday around 8pm. The flavors here, amazing! We ordered and food service took about 20 mins. This is a food truck and we didn't want to eat outside at the tables so We had a 10 minute drive home. By time we got home our food was ice cold. The packing isn't great so I assume that's why the heat didn't keep. Also the food tasted as if it was fried really hard & like the oil tasted kind of burnt. I'd try this place again bc the flavors were so good. I'd just come earlier in the day

The vegetarian options are a hit or a miss. Bbq jackfruit bao is little too sweet, the vegan dumplings are pretty good. Staff was okay, could be more friendly.

Yummy food (good amount for decent price) Great customer service and nice place to sit (could keep seating area cleaner though) One bowl while $20 ish can definitely feed two, lots of meat.

We absolutely love the lobster Rangoon! Every time we are in the downtown area we make sure to swing by and grab an order (or two) the Bao are also extremely light and flavorful! Everything here is Fresh and delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem the locals love to keep hidden! The employees are always friendly and the food comes quick! We take a seat next to the truck or to a bar nearby!

Always recommend this place to whoever is in downtown Tampa. This is a comfort meal but is definitely a brick to eat all of it.

Okay, this is Asian Fusion, folks... so we need to keep that in mind. Pros: Friendly, fast, great presentation and portion, she is definitely so crispy, recommended by hotel staff. Cons: 1) Okay, this is definitely one of those if you've got the munchies or been drinking all night type of food. The spice is kind of underwhelming and I honestly think they should give it a choice of different levels of spice. I think it is too sweet! 2) It is heaavyyyyyy on the carbs, breading, and sauce. I kinda felt sick after eating half of it. A suggestion would be to add some kind of veggie freshness to enhance the dish and to balance it all out. Or at least give it an option to. 3) It's very filling, but not sure if the amount of quality ingredients is worth the price. Take it as you will, but this is coming from an Asian so... I sorta know what I'm talking about

Best I ever had. Yes and I say that with conviction, it is the best I have ever, personally, tasted. Japanese food truck. The tables out front are super cute. The woman that took my order was helpful, kind and polite. :) It's a bit of a wait for the food so my recommendation is get more than you need to take home so the wait makes sense unless you have some time to chill and wait for an order. However, there is an upside to this. The food you can watch them make fresh in front of you. She even said, "sorry for the wait. I wanted to make sure they were super fresh." Well, how lovely. The end result? Divine Boa buns. Boas Jackfruit- 10/10 Bang bang- 10/10 Steak 8/10 - but to other buns not here it's probably a 10. Bang bang meal - so divine - you crave it again right after you eat it. I legit bit into and went mmmm. You know the flavors are great, texture is great. Must experience and it's soooo worth it. All the best success to you!

The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. The cuisine is an Asian fusion- that word "fusion" is used a lot these days sometimes a bit much, but Paul's can use whatever words they choose because the food is delicious. We started with the chicken satay, and crispy spring rolls. The satay was delightful and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The spring rolls are def made in house- no frozen spring rolls here, and very tasty. I ordered the Pad Thai- with chicken and shrimp at a medium spice level. All I can say is- WOW, just WOW! By far the best Pad Thai I have had in Tampa in 11 years. The subtle flavors coupled with the mild - yet striking spice was a carnival of excitement in my mouth. The chicken was tender was was the shrimp- the noodles cooked to perfection and the dish was NOT wet- it was perfectly seasoned and was accompanied by a Thai chili vinegar on the side and pepper flakes to add a bit more spice- if I had fancied that. Well, I did. Not because it wasn't seasoned as I had asked, but because I decided to add a little more kick! Our server was just lovely- attentive, helpful and always there when we needed her- always checking to be sure we were ok. The dish delivered heat, sweetness, savory depth, texture, and freshness without relying on heavy sauces or excessive portions. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. The portions were thoughtful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were layered rather than overwhelming. Since moving to Florida, this ranks as one of the best restaurant meals I have had.
