This was our second visit to this location and definitely our last. Two of us came and were seated quickly . It was a week night so not very busy. The tables were clean and looked nice overall. It seemed like our waitress didn't know the menu well and couldn't answer our questions . We both ordered pasta dishes this time, however there was no pasta and no bread offered. We did have a nice salad and both the ranch and house dressing was good. We were so shocked when our plates arrived I forgot to take pictures of everything. Especially the shrimp scampi was very unusual and was a plate with an unusual sauce and a few shrimp. My grandson almost cried. We boxed it up and I took it home and cooked some pasta and we continued to eat it. A very expensive meal for a little food. We both left hungry. Lesson learned. read more

Anna's Pizza in Fuquay is one of our local go-to stops for Pizza. The caprese salad is also good and the Pepperoni Roll is Excellent!. I think the Large cheese pizza is also consistently better than other nearby options. Worth a try. The restaurant is open and clean with a very friendly staff. read more

G you were amazing!!! We were waited on by the fabulous G and she literally made my night. We came in for dinner and kept things simple after a long drive from charlotte. We got a cheese pizza and kids grilled chicken and broccoli. The pizza was NY style with great flavor and perfect crust. The kids grilled chicken was delicious and the broccoli was al dente which was the only texture my kids will eat. When we want to eat at the larger location of Anna's we come out here to Fuquay. The staff is young and nice, but could use some guidance at times. While I like the smaller vibe in Apex, sometimes the coziness there is a little too close. The staff is more mature there too. All that being said, I love the variety of pasta sauces offered at Anna's. My favorite is the creamy Vermouth and I get it everytime. The dish I love comes with that sauce and Italian sausage, spinach, and sundried tomatoes. The leftovers make me happy too! My spouse got angel hair with marinara and fresh mushrooms, which she enjoyed, but it was a bit heavy on the sauce so next time she'll make mention. We tried the garlic bread this time, which honestly was a letdown. Very dry and not much garlic flavor. I've never tried the pizza because the pasta is too good to pass up. I live in Fuquay Varina (5 years) and have only gone to Anna's 5 times. I've held back my review because I like to give Anna's a chance but it's time. I always order the penne pasta with shrimp and broccoli because the first time I had it, it was so tasty and filling. I had it again a couple nights ago and it was missing something - flavor. Hubby ordered the tortellini in alfredo sauce and that's all he got. Not even a veggie like peas. His dish was so blah. The bread was very chewy/doughy. The dessert was cannoli, and the cream was creamy and good. However, the shell had an odd taste and was a bit stale. We have ordered other things in the past like pizza, which was fine, pepperoni wheels that was burnt on the bottom and tough to chew. Other than that - the tables are wobbly; the establishment is clean and the waitstaff was cordial. Note to Anna's -- Please get the flavor back. read more

And I like the dim, open feel of the place - really condusive to relaxing and enjoying Our fabs are the regular pizzas (very NY style with a great thin, crunchy crust), Grandma's pizza (thicker, richer crust with cheese and dollops of tomato sauce on top! Yum!) and the combo dinner (chicken, shrimp or eggplant parmigiana coupled with either lasagna, stuffed shells or something else I always get the first two). Pricewise, you can't beat it. A little gloomy with a seat yourself thing happening. The pizza-by-the-slice takeout option is well appreciated. Seafood bisque and salad. Good sizes for both and very, very good. I especially enjoyed the salad. Check the photo. My server was running around a lot even though there were only 2 customers, including myself. Look, I'm spoiled by restaurants, living in northern NJ. I admit it. Now, I'm on vacation and in North Carolina. This place... "Anna's" seemed a good Italian spot for dinner. It was busy without being crowded, and we were quickly ushered to seats by waitstaff. We ordered a pizza, and the stuffed shells, veal parmigiana and chicken francaise. The pizza was actually quite good. My francaise came out needing a haircut, so they took that off the bill. The stuffed shells I didn't try, though my daughter said they passed muster, and the veal parm' was standard fare. This food was terrible. Me and my family all got pizza with chicken, and it was tough and unseasoned. The pizza was doughy and had NO sauce, and pizza was dry. Do not get chicken on ANYTHING. The service was okay but seemed like we were being rushed. Wasn't busy at all and it took a while for us to get attended to. Very disappointing experience, would not recommend to anyone. Anna's has two locations, this was my first visit to their location in Fuquay-Varina. My husband and I had a date night in Downtown Fuquay and started off with drinks at The Mill followed by dinner here. I started off with a beer then a glass of Prosecco. For food we split the garlic knots then it was spaghetti in alfredo sauce for me and the lasagna for my husband. The servers are inexperienced and the decor inside is dark old and just not pleasant to look at. The Sicilian pizza is my personal favorite and the specialty pies are worth a shot. Let me start with what I liked about this place.... Okay now for the bad. I ordered a gluten free Person Pizza and calamari marina. Keep in mind no one orders gluten free pizza for the taste. We concluded Dominos pizza has a better gluten free crust. The toppings were well proportion bit overall the pizza was very underwelming. I usually stay away from ordering seafood at places like Anna's but decided to be daring. The calamari was rubbery as expected. But so was the linguine. The sauce lacked proper seasoning as well. Last, I didn't think the side ceasar salad was a bad option. Turns out it was. The lettuce was limp and warm. The decor in the restaurant was very dated, dark and drab. The wait staff was friendly but inexperienced. Bottom line is if you decide to get italian food in Fuquay, go somewhere else. read more

Anna's Pizza is a small family owned pizzeria. Very family oriented. You will always see families enjoying and sharing a couple of large pies. I've come to know the owner and manager and they have been very nice to me everytime i drop it. I personally like their pizza by the slice and their lasanga. Apex, NC is a very family oriented city. We tried their margherita pizza and a deep dish style with pineapples, plus 2 Greek salads to share. So much food for 4 people, enough for at least another meal. First time here, Right on main street, public parking across the street and street parking available. Nice pizzeria. Pepperoni roll and fried cheese ravioli for appetizer were excellent. Decided on Anna's pizza tonight. They were busy but had open tables. Waited at the podium for almost 10 minutes to be seated. Sign up front said "Hiring competent servers". Should have taken that as a sign. Finally seated and server brought us waters. Asked immediately if we were ready to order or if we needed a couple of minutes. Obviously a couple of minutes. Well we waited over 20 minutes and multiple passes of the table by our server. She continued to help other people, orders, checks, drinks etc. Couldn't get her attention so finally left. I've eaten at Anna's pizzeria in Apex a number of times and have tried a quite a few of menu items. All My meals have been delicious and remind me of eating at pizzerias in New York City. The first thing in noticed is there are a few more seats The place has a nice feel to it. It was late and we were their last customers of the evening. Yet the staff treated us as they had just opened for the evening. I decided to try a dish I'd not had before chicken Carbonara. A wonderful pasta dish in a creamed sauce with a good amount of bacon and onion. The flavors were blended so well together and there was so much leftover I took some home for lunch the next day It heated up nicely and was great to taste some more Of that Great dish. Anna's is our go to takout pizza location in Fuquay. I think we have tried all the other places and we are still driving past them to come here. We first discovered Anna's days after they opened in Apex and when we moved to Fuquay, we were delighted to hear they were coming here too. I'm not a fan of dining in because I don't find the food to be overwhelming and the few times that we have, the service has been on the slow side. I was not impressed. You should definitely go to the Anna's in Apex over this location. For some reason, this location did not offer the specialty pizzas - Apex's location has the bruschetta pizza which is to die for (and a couple other awesome selections). Since they didn't offer these options, I had to suffice to pasta. You wouldn't think that an italian styled pizzeria could mess up a simple pasta, but no, this place did. I ordered spaghetti with simple meat sauce and it tasted as if it were made from Ragu. If I am paying $13+ for a pasta, especially if its from an italian establishment, it better taste better than some Ragu-esque flavor. read more
