We came for the Grandma's Pie which was decent. The real stars of this visit were the appetizers - Burrata with honey drizzle and the Fried Calamari which were both really excellent. This was our first time here and we will be definitely be back. We ate at the bar which was tended quite effectively. The ambience had a good vibe. The restaurant itself is well staffed and clean. Vieni Ristobar is a great Italian food option! The pappardelle rigatoni is delicious and so were the Sicilian rice balls and Grandma's Margherita pizza! We literally could not stop eating. The creme brulee had a hint of lemon that was divine, and the cocktails were crafty. I loved the "Amelia" and the hubs enjoyed his old fashioned per usual. Food was excellent here. Ordered buffalo wings, which are battered and crispy with a sauce that is both spicy and hot. Also ordered a Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly for me; a little crunchy on the outside and it was seasoned well with a little butter. I also asked for a fresh lemon to squeeze the juice on the salmon and they provided that. Our server, Dominique, was very attentive and accommodating the whole time. We went on a busy Friday night and never had a long wait for drinks, apps, or entreés. The only thing I didn't like was the flow of the tables. We were recommended by some friends to try Vieni. So, four of us went on a Sunday. Firstly, the bread they give is delicious. It's a soft loaf with fresh garlic and oil on top. I had the gnocchi with tomatoes, mozzarella and shrimp. My other friends both had chicken franchise. One was over rigatoni and the other was over fresh cut potatoes and fresh cut green beans. Another friend had the eggplant over spaghetti with red sauce. The sauce was chunky and the pasta was a bit dry for my liking. But, he loved it ! I was on my sister-in-law's side of town and my niece actually chose this place to go to. It did NOT disappoint. The service was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious! Highly recommend the Burrata with honey on cheese bread. We got the Antipasto Salad to share and the White Pizza. My niece got the kids Cheese pizza and it's big enough for an adult! The portions are big AND they bring you a garlic/rosemary bread. I don't like rosemary ver much but this was delicious! If my 5 yo niece loves this place, so will you! I would love to leave 5 stars, I just can't. We have always frequented Vieni, loved their pizzas and pasta dishes... but this last visit was underwhelming. It was a culmination of little annoyances. Service was fine... normally it's great. The high top tables are ALL wobbly. Fix the tables. It's so aggravating to not be able to cut food without everyone being disrupted and drinks wobbling/splashing. I had to CUT MY pizza because it was over done and too hard to bite into, which would have been fine except I literally couldn't with the table shaking. It's multiple tables too... every time we get sat at a high top it's the same thing. The calamari was also straight from hades. Rubbery as all get out, don't get that. My daughter liked her pasta dish very much, so overall not terrible but not great. Such a shame and I know these are first world problems, but they can do better. read more

We have driven by this place multiple times and tonight we decided to go in. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere of the restaurant is comfortable, lively, but not too loud. They have a full service bar, and plenty of seating. We ordered a variety of things from the menu. It didn't take long for our food to come out. If I could sum up the food in one word, it would be Yum! Everything was very flavorful with good portions. We were there a few months ago and had a good experience. We ordered calzone and stromboli. Since we had a good experience we went back on Sept 1 during the afternoon. It was not very busy and we were told to find a seat and someone would be with us. After 5 or so minutes someone brought us menus. When the appetizer plates were put on the table they were dirty and wet. We asked for replacements. Then my draught Peroni had a black floater in it. The kind of floater from a dirty tap?? My beer was replaced. My salad came and I ate part of it, then a fly landed in it and could not fly out. So much for my salad. We ordered the Carbonara and a Sicilian pizza. The pasta was so steaming hot (as if it had been microwaved) it was impossible to even take a bite for several minutes. The sauce was more of a cream sauce made with cream/milk then a true carbonara sauce made with eggs and cheese. It didn't seem or taste like it was made fresh. The Sicilian crust seemed like it was a premade crust and the sauce and cheese just sat on top of it. A frozen store bought pizza would have been better than what was served. The server was ok and just doing the minimal amount needed. The sad part of this whole experience is we will never return there. And we LOVE Italian food. We both ordered the Tagliatelle with Mushrooms (and our protein was chicken) and it did not disappoint! Super creamy sauce. Perfectly grilled chicken. My only wish was that it had more mushrooms (bc I just love mushrooms hehe). The experience started off fairly well. Our server was very nice, not pushy and very accommodating. It went down hill from there. There was a GIANT roach on the floor next to our table and crawled on window. We brought it to the attention of our server. She immediately said she would get the manager over in just a second. The manager, Brittany, never came to our table. She went to the window with a black glove on and a towel from the kitchen, either killed it or picked it up and walked away. Not a word to us. NOT. ONE. WORD. At that point, our party decided to pay for the appetizers we HALF ate and leave. Nothing against the restaurant, just a decision. The sever, still super nice, again said she would get the manager, Brittany. I was expecting the manager to AT LEAST come to the table to apologize or say SOMETHING. Nothing. The server brought the check, and apologized. On the way out, I asked the manager her name to be sure I gave the correct name on the review, on the way out the door. I had my 14 and 16 year old nieces with me and they noticed the look of disgust on Brittany's face as we were walking out. Brittany also rolled her eyes at my 16 year old niece. That had to be the thing that stood out for me the most. What they experienced. Totally unacceptable. I understand that sometimes insects can make an appearance in restaurants. However, we don't have to continue to patronize the establishment when cleanliness is called into question. What I don't understand is the attitude and the look of distain from someone in management, that came from our decision to leave. There was no need for that, at all. My bestie and I went out to celebrate my birthday and her selling her house. We have eaten at Vieni's before and had excellent service. Tonight was no exception. And on a Friday night, the atmosphere was fun and lively. Families and Friends catching up and decompressing from the stress of life. We started off with the Mussels Blanco. Very good; the Mussels were tender and the broth.. well.. the broth was bread-worthy dipping! We asked our Server Paul for recommendations and he was on point with customer favorites as well as his. Our entrees...Kathy had Pappardelle with Bolognese (spicy), a customer favorite, and I ordered the Tagliatelle with Mushrooms, a dish the is Paul's favorite. The food was delicious, decadent. I will say that the sauce with the Tagliatelle was like satin. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked with some bite but smooth. The pasta was "to the tooth". A very nice meal. Having been here before we have had the Chicken Marsala and Eggplant. Nevertheless after tonight, I think I'd revisit the Tagliatelle to make sure it's always as good as it was tonight. And I'd like to try the Calamari. Looking forward to our next meal here and looking forward to hearing about yours! BTW, Walking In the door, you'll see that Vieni was awarded a 2022 Maggy award, woot! They were ok. The decor and vibes were cute, not overly family style, but a mixture of family style meets quick beer/quick lunch. The house garlic bread was yummyyy. I'm a garlic lover, and it was fresh. The host and waitress were super friendly & helpful. My one critique was my entree. I had a simple caprese pasta dish. I'm never one to judge someone's spin on foods, however: it tasted as if they boiled the pasta in chicken bouillon, then also made the makeshift sauce with it, and it left the dish more soupy than an actual dense pasta dish. It was ok, but the overt chicken broth made things soggy & extra salty. However: they were friendly with the fresh garlic & basil, and I love that! Also tried the fried mozzarella which was really good but you get about 4-5 slices for $9. Overall I wasn't dissatisfied just not blown away for what the prices would have you think. It's also loud and the decor is like rustic hipster which was wired for an Italian place. It was kinda fast casual. We went for lunch with my daughter. Around 1:15. We were basically the only customers. The place was very easy to get to. Waited 5 minutes for a drink (we had water). Then another 10 minutes to place a food order. Salads came out very timely and were very good. Portion was just right. I had Stromboli. Which was great. My daughter had pizza which was great. The waitstaff brought the Stromboli and the pizza and said she'd be right back with the pasta. Somehow my wife's order for pasta never got placed. However, her order was for salad & pasta. The salads all came out together. After waiting 10 minutes We had to wave for the waitperson's attention as the 2 were at the end of the bar not paying attention to us. She seemed very surprised that we were still waiting on my wife's pasta ( she said earlier she'd be back with it). The other waitperson came to the table to apologize and said it got lost in their new system. The pasta arrived about 5 minutes later and was very good. I'm not sure what was so attention grabbing up at the end of the bat but it took a little while for the same waitperson to refill my empty water glass. 2 other people came in and sat at the bar.
