I wanted to get an electric anode rod replaced in my water heater since they are supposed to be replaced every 3-5 years but the electric rods last up to 20 years. I didn't want to take off time from work and they booked me for an evening appointment between 6-7 pm on a Friday. The tech showed up right on time and got to work. The procedure is relatively simple but if you run into a snag getting the rod out then it can be time consuming so I didn't want to mess with it. Less than an hour later he was done the cost was $250 which is inline with the range I was seeing online for what people paid with other places. I saw a wasps nest on my front porch as I was paying the invoice with the tech and he went to his truck and got some wasps killer for me to use.

As soon as Mother Nature got herself together, they came out. He even saved my beloved little tree. They showed up on time, and finished the same day. He and his crew were respectful of my property and neighbors. The charge was just perfect for the job that was completed. They even put grass seed down after they finished. I can't say enough about their professionalism, friendly demeanor, and finished product. The Owner's wife Ashley was the cherry on top. She helped with the billing, appointments, and my many questions. I have already referred them to my friends. Thank you Elite for restoring my plumbing, my bathrooms send their love!!!!!

Follow up review for our initial issue of needing our pipes snaked. After the issue persisting, we…read morehad scheduled a day to have the lines hydrojetted but due to scheduling they weren't able to service our pipes that day. They did offer a complimentary snake to get us by until a day that worked better for them and ourselves. During the snaking, Zach did pull back a bit root ball and discovered we did indeed have root invasion problems, which he offered replacing a section of the pipes as a solution. We were given ample time to mull over the info between hydrojetting or replacing. Since hydrojetting was a temporary fix, we opted for the pipe replacement, during which they would descale the existing pipes once given access during replacement. They also offered to add in an additional clean out location outside the home in case we have issues in the future. They showed up on the scheduled day ready to work. Despite a small hiccup which delayed them being able to start, once they did they worked through the day to finish the job. They communicated clearly as they started each step, making sure to show me how the descaling worked in a removed part of the pipe as well as where the roots were invading. They also put back the dirt and removed portion of sidewalk the best the ground would allow, also leaving some extra dirt so that it would settle more level as time passes. I am very pleased to have found Priority Plumbing for these services. It can be a real headache to deal with these issues, but they were easy to work with and very quick to respond to any of our communications. I will continue to contact them in the event we have other issues in the future!

When asked why they don't provide this, they say they are a service company and this allows them to avoid collecting sales tax. I don't know what that means. The quality of the work was very good and the person was very courteous. Based on the hours worked, I do feel like I was way overcharged and the lack of a detailed invoice may allow them to charge whatever they want at their discretion. My error was not scrutinizing from the beginning because I just wanted the work done. Lesson learned for me but proceed with caution.

Bottom Line: Professional, friendly, transparent and reliable plumbing services…read more I was building a wet bar and I needed to route plumbing to the area for a bar sink and ice maker from an adjacent bathroom. I decided I was going to contract this work out and I found Alpha Plumbing on Yelp. Alpha was able to come out quickly and assess the work to be done and they subsequently provided me the quote. My job required a total of three trips to the house - the first for the assessment, the second for the rough-in and the third for the final plumbing hookup. All three appointments were easy to schedule and the plumber, Brian, was on time, professional, transparent and respectful of me and my home. Brian would notify me when he was on his way and wore a mask while in my house. He was very efficient with his efforts and effectively communicated what he was going to do and how long he expected it to take. The project tuned out terrific! Shout out to Bob too! Coincidentally, the day after my wet bar job was complete I had a non-related plumbing issue and Alpha Plumbing quickly dispatched a plumber to my house which had four gurgling, bubbling, spewing and "geysering" toilets making a mess of the bathroom. (Turns out the county failed to notify my community of their plans to violently flush the sewer lines.) Once again the plumber, Liam, was super friendly, respectful and knowledgeable and called me when he was on his way. My experience with Alpha Plumbing was wonderful! During the course of my project and fake-emergency I communicated with John, Lorraine, Liam, Brian and Bob and everyone was so incredibly awesome and exemplary in their execution. I am very glad to have such a wonderful plumbing company in my contact list.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wallace Plumbing, specifically Derrick, and I would not…read morerecommend him for backflow service. My home is only about two years old, yet Derrick initially made it seem as though I might need my entire brass backflow assembly replaced. His diagnosis kept changing throughout the visit. I even had to ask whether he had flushed the system before testing it. After he flushed it, he acknowledged that the valve was working. He also did not initially have the proper flat tool needed to open the plate on the assembly and had to leave and come back with additional tools. For someone who repeatedly told me he was a master plumber and does this work all the time, that was concerning. Last year, Anne Arundel Plumbing serviced this same system and did an amazing job. They properly troubleshot it, removed the plate, cleaned the internal plastic component, and resolved the issue. I explained this to Derrick because his troubleshooting was not making sense to me. After I told him what the previous company had done, Derrick attempted to remove the internal plastic component by pulling and wiggling it with his hands. He actually said he did not want to break it, and then it broke while he was trying to remove it. Part of the broken plastic remained stuck inside the brass assembly. He then spent a significant amount of time using a flat tool trying to pry it out and still could not remove it. At some point, if a plastic component is clearly not coming out, I would expect a professional to stop forcing it and determine the proper method to loosen and remove it. He later suggested WD-40, which made me even more uncomfortable with the troubleshooting process. What really bothered me was that after the part broke while he was removing it, he initially made it seem like I would have to pay for the replacement. He had the replacement kit with him but would not leave the part because he said he had to install it. The problem was that he could not even remove the broken piece. He then told me he "didn't break it" and that "it broke while I was trying to take it out." The part was intact before he attempted to remove it and broken afterward. I cannot say for certain whether it was because I am a woman, but I absolutely felt like Derrick assumed I would simply accept whatever explanation he gave me. His explanations were going in circles and were not making sense based on what I was watching happen. Whenever I questioned him, he repeatedly emphasized that he was a master plumber and could show me his credentials. I did not care about seeing his credentials. I cared about whether the troubleshooting in front of me made sense. At that point, I had already decided I was getting a second opinion. To make matters worse, when he put the assembly back together and turned the water on, everything was not properly secured and water sprayed directly onto me. Ultimately, he did not charge me, but I started the appointment with an intact internal component and ended it with that component broken and part of it still stuck inside my backflow assembly. I was referred to Wallace Plumbing, and I genuinely wish I had just called Anne Arundel Plumbing again. My biggest concern is how quickly I was being led toward the possibility of replacing an entire backflow assembly when the actual issue involved an internal serviceable component. This experience seriously made me question the troubleshooting and the recommendation I was being given.
