Don't know why I've neglected to review Annia's for so long. I'm a pilot, and I visit a LOT. Here's what you can expect: 1. This place is family-owned and operated. Owners and staff have all been here for years, and they're awesome. 2. It's a diner, but in addition to the usual diner fare there's some legit Mexican favorites. Try the Chile verde with eggs, and make sure you're hungry. 3. If you like pancakes, these are some of the best in the area. They do a great kids' plate if you have little people, and you and the kids can rate our landings as you eat. 4. It's not on the menu, but Annia's makes the best fish-n-chips plate I've ever had. The fish is hand-battered and perfectly cooked. Ask for it! read more

Low-key somewhat hidden spot that offers American and Mexican fare. Right off Santa Anita Ave you'll find it, park and walk into the San Gabriel Valley Airport lobby. They have and indoor as well as outdoor patio and on a nice day, patio seating is really nice. You can watch small planes land and take off while having a quick bite to eat! Came on a weekday and the service was great. I usually go for there fabulous menudo or the chilie verde chili relleno omelette, this time I had pancakes stack With Bacon and sausage pancakes were amazing and really tasty sausages. read more

Writhing this as someone who comes often to this location. I am very patient but today my patience was met when it took one hour to be seated and over another hour to get our food. I haven't been here in over six years so I decided to stop by. I came around 7:15am. My Mom and I were the first customers. The restaurant itself is nice; big open windows to see the planes taking off and most seats comfortable padded booths. I ordered breakfast: two eggs, sausage, hash brown, and toast. It was about $7. I was impressed by the size of the sausage, it's bigger than usual. My mom got the French toast breakfast, and she enjoyed that. All food was good. Our bill came out to about $25 with two coffees. We love visiting Annie's Kitchen during the week for breakfast. Not as crowded and we always leave satisfied.

This is my go to breakfast spot. Not sure why the review isnt higher. Service is great, food is yummy, and my kids love the airplanes right next to the outdoor. My mom loooves their veggie omelette, i love the country fried steak and egg. Their sausage is suuuuper bomb. Their steak and egg is pretty good. Not suuuper good, but decent. This is a great spot to catch breakfast and watch the planes come in and out of the airport. The servers are very friendly and the service is excellent. I brought my family here who was from out of the country and they loved the concept of having breakfast and having the option to sit outside and watch the planes go by. The portions are very big. I shared a breakfast with my husband and it was perfect. I recommend this place the food is quite tasty and its a great restaurant to bring family who are visiting to. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this place! Didn't realize it was inside an airport lol. The food was tasty and service was great! The only complaint is the wait time for food after we ordered was really long. Others who ordered after us were receiving their food first and we waited at least 40 minutes to finally get our food. Second time here and this will be my new breakfast/lunch spot. Amazing service and food. The first time we came here was on a Saturday so they were busy but still on their toes. Annia took real good care of us and the second time here AB is on it. I've had the bone in ham and eggs, ribeye steak and eggs, chile colorado, omlette, club sandwich and the liver and onions. Every item is the quintessential essence of what the item represents. We are asked how we're doing repeatly by AB. No need to flag anyone down. They seriously need to not be so greedy and have more servers on the floor. They think 2 servers splitting the whole restaurant is worth jepordizing quality. You feel rushed and the bus girls treat you like you are dining at McDonald's. The young busser literally told me," this is the last thing I'm getting you." Who the hell says that. Great spot and beautiful atmosphere until today when there was these little ghetto kids running wild and screaming because there chola paisa moms cant control them.. all was calm again once they left.. The food was great! The chilaquiles weren't soggy, chorizo con huevo wasn't greasy, and the beans + rice tasted very authentic! Music not too loud so it allows people to talk and have a good time. Mean while I was waiting for my food I had seen two cockroaches one was crawling on my table and one was on a stand behind me. Wow, what a small gem hidden and it was great! From the time I walked in I was greeted and offered to sit wherever I'd like. There's a small diner counter, an indoor dining area and a small outdoor under a deck area as well overlooking the landing strip(which I'll definitely be back to sit there). I ordered the French Toast combo including coffee $13.73 total. Was good portioned had to ask for a container to take half my order. They accommodate for large parties, I noticed a party of 12 and 2 small kids so good to know in case anyone needs this. Great service, fair prices, good food. This place is ADORABLE! Been here twice and both times there wasn't a wait and service was prompt! Try and ask for a booth next to the window so you can see the planes and what not.
