Was craving Mexican food and this place was closed by so I decided to check it out. I went on a Friday night around 10pm and there was no wait. The worker acknowledged me right away and was ready to place my order. The menu was pretty big so it did take me a while to decide what I wanted. I ended up getting the carne asada fries but with tongue instead. The menu stated we can get other meat instead of carne so that's what I did but I didn't know there would be an extra charge of $4 ish. I also ordered a shrimp burrito. I waited probably no more than 12 mins to get my order which wasn't too bad. The thickness of the burrito was average but it was longer than a typical burrito which I was happy about. They put in a decent amount of shrimps. I was able to get a piece of shrimp with almost every other bites. I also like the sauce they used and like how they put bigger chucks of tomato. The fries were also yummy! Similar to the burrito, they put a lot of protein and the fries were crispy. Would definitely come back to try their other dishes

After a bit of a waste of time at Enchant, we were definitely craving some authentic Mexican food to end the night on a better note. Luckily, this place was open until midnight, which worked out perfectly for us. My wife and I both ordered the Sobe plate with asada for takeout. We brought the food back to the hotel, and it absolutely hit the spot. The asada was flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. They were very generous with the portions, especially the meat, which was a nice surprise and made the meal even more satisfying. Everything on the plate tasted fresh, but the beans with cheese really stood out. They were rich, creamy, and surprisingly delicious--easily some of the best beans I've had from a takeout spot. Overall, the food exceeded our expectations and turned the night around for us. If you're looking for late-night Mexican food with great portions and solid flavor, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Wet burrito

I purchased a wet burrito, an order of taquitos, and 2 horchatas since a friend recommended this restaurant to me. I had a good experience and surprised the asada in the burrito was cut into steak strips. I would visit this restaurant again when I crave taquitos or a burrito

I was craving for carne asada fries, and I decided to come by. This is a small restaurant. There is a big parking lot in the back that has plenty of parking. Cashier was very friendly and service was fast. I got an Apple soda, and a cucumber lime aqua Fresca. The aqua Fresca was very refreshing. The portion of the fries was huge. It comes with a lot of meat, bean, cheese, and salsa. I like that the salsa was not too spicy that I can eat it. The fries was very crispy! I enjoyed the food. Will come back again when I have late night craving again.

dead roach between the tables. i walked out. ewww!

As soon as i walked in, there was a dead roach between the tables. i was so grossed out. Yes this is a cockroach, not a water bug. Cockroaches have long antenna as seen in photo and water bugs have none. So sorry I didnt tell the staff. I was too horrified and wanted to exit immediately.

Carne asada super fries

Had a craving for some quick asada super fries and ordered some for delivery. Alfredo's used to be my usual spot, but after trying the asada fries here, I can confidently say I've been converted! Sorry Alfredo's! Now, is it absolutely AMAZING and a must-try? No. Definitely temper your expectations; it's still a fast food joint. But if you live in the area and are looking for a super fries fix, this place hits the spot! Unlike most Mexican fast food places, their asada was not dry at all and was actually pretty good. Fries held their shape (not soggy) and they were very generous with the toppings! Lots of pico de gallo, guac, sour cream, and cheese. I also liked that they didn't try to cheap out by making it 50% beans- it was the perfect amount. Only thing is that the cheese wasn't melted but that didn't bother me since it was sitting on top of all the other toppings. P.S. You can't see all the guac and sour cream in the photo, but trust me it's under that massive pile!

Massive burrito for their $6.99 BF burrito special. I was expecting a smaller burrito but was pleasantly surprised.
Joe L.

They have a sign in front that advertises a $6.99 BF burrito so I had to give it a try. The burritos were massive and not full of potatoes. Very well balanced between the eggs, meat, and cheese. I also tried the machaca and egg which was also delicious. Most importantly to me, they are not stingy with their salsa. There seems to be quite a few different specials depending on the day and time so I will probably be back for their taco Tuesday next.

Came here when it first opened and again recently. Ordered to go, there are seating available inside but we wanted to order and go back home to eat. The place looks the same, wasn't too busy but slow trickle of customers came in. Fairly clean and the place looked like there was a lot going on at the same time. We ordered a carne asada fries, a California burrito, and fish taco. The fries was as good as before, sometimes soggy in the middle but good amount of meat, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. California burrito also was filled with fries and salsa. Very filling and refreshing. The fish in the fish taco was really good, unfortunately the corn tortilla was falling apart but the lettuce and salsa on top helped make it taste good. Overall still a good place to get food, might come back to eat at the place to compare freshly made versus to go.

huge breakfast burritos!

Albertano has a really wide menu of offerings. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast burritos. Sadly we came slightly after their breakfast time. They still offered the breakfast menu, but it costed more. Between 8-11am the breakfast burrito special with one protein is only $5.99/each. What a deal! After 11am, you pay the dumb tax like we did. My boyfriend had the Crazy Burrito ($10.80) which comes with bacon, sausage, egg, potatoes and cheese. I had the Bacon Burrito ($9.99) which comes with bacon, eggs, potatoes and cheese. I also wanted a Horchata ($3.25) which does not qualify for the check in soda deal, so my boyfriend got a Coke (Free check-in deal). My initial reaction was that the burritos were on the pricey side, but they were HUGE. I put my hand in the picture of the burritos so there is scale. It was enough for at least two meals for the average person. I had 3 separate meals out of my burrito. My boyfriend and I really should have shared. The breakfast burritos itself were really tasty and well balanced. My bacon was crispy. The potatoes made it filling. Anyways, learn from my lesson. If you want their tasty breakfast burritos. Go before 11am!

This is what is left after removing burnt sausage..

I'd never been before, but I'd been wanting to try it for a long time. As soon as I walked in, I noticed two ordering kiosks with people waiting in line. Before I could even figure out what to do, a young lady with the biggest smile greeted me and asked if she could help. Her name was Patty. I told her it was my first visit, and she patiently explained the menu, especially the different spice levels. Since I enjoy spicy food, I confidently ordered the Hot level. Looking back... I may have been a little overconfident! When my food was ready, Patty brought it to my table with the same genuine smile she greeted me with. The food looked incredible, and the chicken was juicy and delicious--but after a few bites, I realized the Hot level was hotter than I had imagined. I laughed to myself and thought, "Next time, I'm definitely ordering one level lower." A few minutes later, Patty came back to check on me because it was my first visit. I told her the food was great, but I'd overestimated my spice tolerance. Without hesitation she said, "I'll change it for you." I immediately told her, "No, it's okay. I don't want you to waste food." She smiled and replied, "I want you to enjoy it." That simple statement really impressed me. In today's world, you don't hear that very often. It reminded me of something I had just read about Dave's Hot Chicken--"Keep us honest." Patty truly lived that philosophy. She wasn't just serving food; she genuinely wanted my first experience to be a great one. The food was excellent, but Patty's kindness and customer service made the experience memorable. That's the kind of employee every business hopes to have. I'll definitely be back--and hopefully Patty will be there again. Thank you, Patty, for making my first visit such a great one. You turned a first-time customer into a returning one.

I've gotten at least a dozen sandwiches (and likely more) from Ike's over the years, and it was always my favorite local sandwich shop after they finally opened a location in the northeast side of LA. But I must say, as of late, their quality is really not the same as the past. I recently ordered a sandwich that came with mushrooms and it was barely cooked and mostly raw. Having raw mushrooms in a sandwich is really not it, and considering each sandwich here is about $16+ post tax and tip (yes I did tip), I think we can expect a little better quality, or at the very least, not having basically raw mushrooms in a sandwich. While they do have many sandwiches to choose from on such a vast menu, and everything is customizable (just with additional charges), it does feel like they'd do better if they nail down some of the details like making sure their cooked ingredients are actually cooked. All that said, the store is kept clean, there's some dine in tables as well as outdoor seating. The music indoors is kept loud, and the decor is very colorful and bold. Service feels like what you'd expect from employing recent high school or college students at their first jobs, but it's always been polite. Pictured: one of the many sandwiches I've consumed over the years from Ike's. This one attached happened to be from 2023.
