Unfortunately, the…read moreowner's behavior completely overshadowed the food, and after giving her three chances, I won't spend my money there again. On our first visit, my 87-year-old father casually mentioned that he hadn't known the place existed. The owner responded by yelling at him about how long the business has been open and listing other places she owns, leaving him feeling embarrassed and ignorant. The final straw happened during my most recent visit. I flew in from Las Vegas and wanted to take my parents, both in their 80s, to get sandwiches. Standing for long periods is difficult for them, so they sat briefly in the dining area while I ordered. They were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. They were immediately yelled at and told they could not sit there unless they ordered from the dinner menu. My father politely explained that we were ordering sandwiches and that his daughter had just flown in. The owner said it didn't matter--if we weren't ordering off the dinner menu, we had to leave. As a result, we were forced to eat in our car in the middle of winter. Great food does not excuse disrespectful, unkind treatment--especially toward elderly customers. The lack of compassion was shocking, and I will not return.

First time here and won't be our last!…read more We had a coupon for this place and forgot it at home but this just means we will have to come back and use it. First off extremely friendly service and safe service. They are doing everything by the book to protect their guests. The waitress could not have been sweeter and gave me a great suggestion for a cocktail and on what to order for dinner. Started off with the pretzel appetizer bc my husband loves pretzels and I love a good homemade cheese sauce. Salads were nice and fresh and I loved the pickled red onion. The dressings are made in house and you can tell. My husband had the prime rib Friday night special and it was cooked to his liking. Nice cut of meat and I stole an onion ring and it was yummy. I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! Didn't try dessert this time around but they sounded good.

I could have of put a for rent sign on it advertising all the free space. Dinner special entree of pulled pork Mac and cheese for $20 was a joke. Calamari was over fried and tasteless. We won't be going back. I wonder why the place was dead at 7pm. Bar area only had two customers. Doesn't look like we're the only ones that feel the same.

This is my experience as an AuDHD adult, male-presenting person…read more I went to Déjà Brew and was greeted with smiles. Three people were prepping early in the morning--maybe around 8:30 or 9:00. The whole place had a warm, easygoing vibe. I ordered a Soul Shine smoothie and a BLT for later, with romaine substituted and garlic & herb sourdough, a Texas-toast-style bread. They called it sourdough, and maybe it was--but just a heads-up, it's on the denser side. I liked it, though! The interaction was great. They answered all my questions, and when I asked if I needed to make a purchase to use the WiFi, they said no--it was freely given. That small kindness already made me feel welcome. I took my time sipping my smoothie while researching what's next. When I was ready for my sandwich a couple of hours later, I let them know, then stepped outside for some air while they made it. When I came back, I found they had brought it right to my spot. That small, thoughtful gesture really stuck with me. The sandwich looked fantastic, and to my surprise, it came with a few thick-cut pickle chips--definitely dill, and so good. The BLT itself? Also solid. Big slices of tomato (which, honestly, I don't usually go for, but it's a BLT, so I rolled with it). The mayo--or maybe aioli?--was incredible, the kind that makes your mouth water. The romaine was fresh and crisp, and the bacon was good--though I wouldn't have minded another slice or two. When they brought it over, they reminded me that chips were included. I checked out the options and saw some good flavors, but I was craving something a little more nutrient-dense. I asked if they offered fruit with the meal, and they kindly offered me a banana. It seemed like something they don't normally do, but they were happy to accommodate, which I really appreciated. The total came to $21.60 after taxes, and honestly? Worth it. I spent five hours here, enjoying the space, the welcoming atmosphere, and the heater they had running on this cold April day. The kindness, the food, and the comfort made it an easy place to settle in for a while. 10/10, would recommend to a friend.
