Great town cafe. Cathy keeps it simple. Simple menu. Good food. Great prices. We have returned multiple times this year.

My parents started coming here a few weeks ago on a whim. The breakfasts are generously portioned…read moreand so reasonably priced. Like, $5 for a huge breakfast, juice, and coffee. You cannot beat that price. My dad and I came here for dinner. He had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the chicken special, a breaded chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Each came with a salad and bread. Our dinner came to less than $12 for the two of us WITH tip. Wow. I would like to come back and have breakfast, as I have heard they're amazing. I know they're packed daily for it. As for our dinners, my chicken was very tender and juicy, although it lacked a little seasoning. The mashed potatoes were potentially made from instant. My salad was great. For $3.99 for my dinner, would I really complain? I don't think so. My dad had a steak dinner here the week before and said it was fantastic, so perhaps it was just an off night. Service was excellent and the owner is very nice and friendly. All-in-all, I say give them a chance, especially for breakfast. They're just starting up and obtaining a liquor license. They have a huge bar area that will at some point make it a great place to get a drink and watch a game. It's located right across from Battle Island Golf Course as well. I'll update my post once I've had a chance to eat her again, as I have a feeling I'll be back when next visiting my family.

I traveled to Phoenix to honor what would have been my grandmothers 100th birthday, July 21, 2026…read more She and my grandfather were Phoenix natives ( Grandmas childhood home was located at 19 Mechanic St - Moyer family & #? Main Street was my Grandfathers home- Seitz family - this is now part of the Catholic Church) before my Grandfather became a Marine and ended up in Quantico , VA. Lock 1 was a perfect location to pop on in, right by the bridge, to grab a drink and snacks. The appetizers were delicious - we ordered the pretzel, loaded salt potatoes, and tacos. All were impressively good and so filling! We had a great server, very attentive, young guy, sadly I can't recall his name but he was wonderful! We also bought two bottles of Ryze Vodka to bring back home in memory of the location (Phoenix) that started a love affair of two young adults and ultimately created a storybook of family memories from New York to Virginia! Thanks, Lock 1, for being part of my adventure! I hope to return soon.

Our favorite local band "Infinity" was playing a concert here, so we decided to grab a bite to eat…read morefirst. The concert venue is right across the driveway from the restaurant. Once inside, the distillery is to the right, and the bar and dining area is to the left. You seat yourself, then a server will come to your table. We told the girl that we were in a bit of a hurry, and she and her bartender did everything they could to get us our order and make sure we didn't miss any of the concert. There's two huge chalkboards behind the bar, full of specialty drinks they offer. Their food menu is a pretty short list, but everything we ordered was great. I had a cheeseburger, my wife had fish tacos, and our daughter had the chicken sandwich. The two sandwiches came with fries (which were a wee bit on the salty side, but good). We all enjoyed our food, and it was reasonably priced. We will definitely go back there. The concert venue across the driveway was spacious, and had great acoustics. They also have a mini bar inside the venue, but the line moves VERY slowly.
