Delicious cakes! Whether it's for a birthday, graduation, baby shower or wedding, my family has been ordering from this place for years! The restaurant caters mostly to the predominant Hispanic community of Los Angeles so aside from their specialty- the "Tres Leches" cakes ( a must) , they also serve traditional Mexican and El Savadorian dishes as well. Food: A personal favorite is the Pollo Guisado and Enchiladas. They are tasty but my brother vouches for the simple burger and chicken specials. Cakes: Upon ordering your cake, the server gives you an option of fresh fruit filling - fresh strawberries, mangos, peaches, bananas, pineapples or a combination of all of the above and discusses the cake style with you. They have a "default" pink or blue style that is beautiful but it can be customized to your liking if you choose otherwise. If you're out to try something new, I highly recommend an addition of the Tres Leches to your order. (It's basically a sweet mix poured on top of your spongey cake to soak in the extra sweetness). Ordering: Service is fast and friendly although I would highly recommend ordering your cakes at least a few days in advance through phone or walk-in. However, if you are on the go and need a cake immediately, they have cakes that are freshly made daily as well but I believe the downside is that those sizes are limited to 15-25 people. They also offer to make the cake within a few hours if they are not too busy and you are willing to wait. Ambiance: If you're looking for some smoozy, expensive bakery, look elsewhere because I believe one of the beauties of this restaurant is its ability to serve the actual community of Los Angeles. True, the furniture is a bit outdated but the price is affordable, food is traditional and the restaurant has an "A" rating from the health department. What more do you want? read more

From delicious Chinese almond cookie to Mexican rico bread to sweet rolls. had the popusa with beans n cheese, cheese, and beef - all three were DELICIOUS! Annie's cheesecakes are perfectly sweet, light n fluffy, creamy, but still dense as a cheesecake should be. the cheesecake was dipped in chocolate, but it gave it a beautiful and delicious chocolate crust. i'll definitely be back soon. read more

This is a great bakery in the heart of L.A catering to all sorts of people. They even have imprinting of edible pictures on cakes! They make all sorts of cakes from weddings to birthdays, and the owners are pretty nice too. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for cakes for special occasions. read more
