Super disappointed at the lack of care for customers. I ordered a custom cake for my son's birthday. The only thing that made it custom was the printed picture on the frosting. They have a cake book but they admit they can't make any cake from the book because they don't carry any toys. Then they need a minimum of two weeks for a "special" cake then forget and want to to solve the issue by only offering a pre-made cake from their fridge when the cost of the original cake that was ordered had a cost of $105. I've had so many issues with their customer service and I kept coming back and giving them another chance. However, after they "forgot" my daughter's cake and wanted to pretend they didn't have a note for it or any such order. I was done. I wanted to do something special for my daughter and I trusted the wrong people. They didn't follow through and thought a cake that they've had sitting in their fridge would solve the issue. The counter for ordering food is toward the back. I ordered the huevos a la mexicana with a bolillo. The bolillo was freshly baked, incredibly soft, and tasty. I regret not getting some for the road. There are two Celeya Panaderia Bakeries on the same street! I decided to go to this one b/c it was simply closer to my apartment. I never knew that Mexican bakeries can be so awesome! They had a wide selection of sweet breads, pastries and cakes. And MUCH better price than Korean bakeries. Presentation-wise, it is not as as pretty or well decorated; but everything still looks very good! I only tried this one bread with a cracked/crumbly top to it - it reminded me of the ones I get from Korean bakeries. I will definitely come here again soon! My sister told me to not ever order cake from Celaya Bakery from Vermont, because they just give you whatever they want and ignore your order. Well, I've always buy their cakes that are ready to just buy and go and I love their taste, I decided to ignored her advise. During the day of the event, they cake was late, and it wasn't the cake I ordered. They gave me a random cake. The cake didn't looked nothing like the cake design decoration, but a mess decoration, and not the flavor I asked for it. I asked the cake with bases too, they put each bread on top each other without bases. After it was cut, the cake turned into a completely mess. I argued with the person who wrote my ordered. I showed her my receipt, and she was showing me a different one. Scum. Also I was expecting an excuse, they gave me attitude. I had to take the cake because they wouldn't give me refund and the cake for the big event was already late. When I took the cake to the event and my sister saw it, she said to me that's the same design I got. The taste from the cake different. Not only was Susi (my contact) honest, sincere and attentive to my requests but I felt a sense of personal pride in the work she does and the relationships she creates. As well they have good prices but you most certainly get what you pay for. We were on a tight budget and this was a good place to get good cake. My family usually comes here for bolillo or breakfast and sometimes the food takes a bit to come out but today was just ridiculous! Ordered $50 of food and was told it would take about 10 minutes. To be honest i expected 20-25 from them. It took them an HOUR! We ordered a cake for our wedding, 2 weeks prior and paid for delivery for a total of $285. Our wedding day came and they had misplaced our order. We talked to the manager and he said he was only willing to give us a refund. Ultimately, the business gave us 6 smaller cake that were poorly made. Yes, we understand no company is perfect and human error can occur at any moment but the correct course of action was to give us the cakes and the refund. We did not receive back our refund from this company to this day, nor a proper apology from the person that committed the error. Customers rely on these businesses for their wedding cake to be perfect on their day. This company should not be on this kind of business. read more

I don't even know where to begin... Please do not get your cake here for your events. This is quite possibly the worst location to get a good cake, I have tried many locations trying to support local bakeries, but it's unacceptable when you're not given what you pay for. I ordered a cake for our daughters baby shower. This was a full sheet $140 cake. I went to make my reservation for the cake, I was given a book with examples of what they can do. Upon picking a design they informed me they didn't have the decor for that specific one, so I was shown which ones were available. I decided on a different one and provided my information deposit of $100 and date to pick up. Baby shower date comes and I had my son pick it up with the receipt order info. When my son gets back it was all plain no colorful colors, no designs, nothing just words on the cake. I was completely dissatisfied I called the bakery right away and they stated if I wanted the plastic figurines like on the pictures I had to pay an extra $15 that wasn't explained when making the order. Also when cutting the cake it had the wrong fruits inside and was very dry, not to mention it really didn't seem like a full sheet when cutting the cake the amount of icing was ridiculous I literally had slices of icing. Please save your time there are many great businesses that I have tried and haven't been this disappointed. read more

I get them every now and then for my office and they always get devoured. I had a horrible experience, first of all I ordered a cake and left some money as down payment. The day of the party no cake was made and no order was made. Finally, they made a cake that was terrible, not what I was expecting, most foam than bread and not properly made. Whenit was picked up the employees knew it was not ready to be picked up because it was very fresh and fragile to carry. They still gave it to me and as careful as I was , the minute I sat down the cake destroyed. The owner did not bother to contact me after.
