This place is actually really good???? I ordered from here around 5 something and I honestly expected it to be little more than okay. It surprised me. I got: Ham, cheese, and egg croissant, some chocolate filled croissant donut thing with chocolate chips on top, and a glazed buttermilk. They were so goood, and fresh! I only tasted the doughnuts but completely demolished the breakfast croissant. It would've really hit the spot with OJ. If you have a sweets craving or want a simple breakfast, I recommend! read more

Great local place with super tasty donuts and I'm not even a huge donut person but the other day before a long meeting I needed a sugar rush if I was going to make it. The place is walking distance from my office. I had a Boston Creme and an iced coffee. The donut tasted fresh and was fluffy and the iced coffee was really sweet for my taste but good none the less. 7$ iced coffee? Seriously? Okay, 8.50$ croissant + egg/cheese that's understandable in some people's minds. But they have no combo, if you want iced coffee you have to pay 7$. For the same coffee they serve hot for 2.50 but with ice. Shame on this place read more

Recently stopped by this donut shop to buy a few donuts for a medical group and they LOVED the donuts from here. I tried the jelly filled donut & it's simple, not to greasy & overall from the great feedback I'd say this is a good establishment to get your sweet tooth satisfied. Next day update::: I still ate the donuts and the dough is still darn good and soft and fluffy. I love this donut shop. Pretty good price and soft dough. Update:: got there around 12 today and got some cereal donuts. I thought they were $1.15 each but I don't think so? Donuts we're good and fluffy. 4 cereal donuts and 2 glaze. $9 - with 75 cent card fee. They had one Nutella creme one I wanted to try but someone ahead of me got it. The only thing was that the Cereal was rather stale. Yummy yummy! Fluffy, glazy and sweet little treats. Half a dozen for $5 and a dozen for $9. Lady was sweet, working on New Years. I decided to stop by after seeing the reviews to bring home a nice treat. It's located at Pico-Union across from my favorite Thai spot so I stopped by. They have a parking lot there. You can use card but it's a 75 cent fee. Anyway, donuts were very soft and the lady helping behind the counter was sweet. read more

I occasionally go to Zamora Brothers (a few doors down) to get my Menudo on weekends and a week ago I decided to stop by and try this place out since I'm always driving by all the time. The customer service was very pleasant, I bought four donuts which was very good all under $2.00 "each"! Only thing to remember is they charge extra (like 50 cents?) for using your card, so pay cash if you don't want this extra charge. .Don't believe the hype? Arrived at 6 pm. Paid in the meter out front to park. Guess what? No cookie monster donuts, no elmo donuts and no fruity pebble donuts available. Complete wild goose chase. I think I startled the guy hanging out in back chilling with his coffee and the paper, but as he told me, he doesn't make the donuts and seemed completely indifferent to my request for one of the donuts I had come for I'm bummed. I wasn't sure what to expect upon strolling into Pico Donuts even though I had no intention of doing so at around 5P on a Tuesday night, but what I found was a great little community spot with good donuts but even better service. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? At this point I've probably been to close to fifty donut shops in the LA area, and one thing that experience has taught me is that with very few exceptions, Donut shops are not crowded at 5P. Never. That being the case, you can imagine my surprise when I found Pico Donuts nearly bursting at the seams at that exact time with a combination of kids and adults alike. It would appear that Pico Donuts has done a hell of a job diversifying, and just about everyone there was asking for either a Starbucks-style coffee drink or ice cream. While there was only one woman behind the counter doing it all, she was a champ, and burned through the line with ease (and impressive Spanish to boot for someone who was clearly not of Spanish-speaking decent). I got my fruity pebbles donut after a brief stop at the ATM and was on my way. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $2 for a pretty decent sized fruity pebbles donut was a reasonable price, and the rest of the items on the menu were priced accordingly. Refreshing in what is becoming a world of $3-$5 specialty donuts in LA. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? I'll admit that the fruity pebbles atop my fruity pebbles donut were stale to the point of being distracting, but what was I to expect at 5P? Cereal freshness aside, this was a perfectly good donut. Minus one star for NOT having a ham and cheese croissant with jalapenos. In the middle of Little Mexico, how do they not have jalapeno option on the ham and cheese croissant???? Baffles me! I love these donuts. I work in LA right around the corner. One day I looked up donuts spots close by and took a chance. I'm hooked best donuts I've had literally. I have so much respect for the family that runs this joint. I've never had a bad experience here. The donuts are best in the morning of course, but they stay open late if you're on the 420 side Coffee has definitely improved, when I first came to visit I could swear the coffee was a black tea. Coffee has improved and looks as black as it should be. Love all you guys and the good energy you give read more

Opens at 4am, amazing sandwiches. I always get coffee here and fantastic customer service. Employees here always treat me with respect and gratitude. You could come in real quick like a grab n go or sit down and enjoy a hot or cold sand which as there are benches inside. A+ food and even better coffee! read more

Please do not ever serve fruity pebble donuts when the damn fruity pebbles on the donut are STALE. Completely ruined my date and my night. You either have incompetent workers that don't know it's time to remove the STALE donuts, or you are intentionally ignorant and just don't care about quality product. Absolutely sad. If your looking for a delicious donut Pico Donut is the spot, the donuts taste great super fresh and even after having them for a day or two they stay super good, also to mention their prices you can't beat $9.75 for a dozen of donuts that's not bad less than a dollar a donut, I definitely would recommend this spot if you're in the neighborhood and they have parking!! read more

They have this cinnamon nut crumb danish looking like bread that is to die for!!!!!! The service is fantastic - the couple in the mornings are the owners and the nicest people around! i looooooove this place! Really decent place in the neighborhood, two young people were running the place,girl and a guy, they were both very cheerful and welcoming. I had Boston creme and cheese croissant. They were a bit too sweet for my taste. Especially I was expecting cheese croissant to be more salty for breakfast. It could have been avoided if I asked, so part of the blame is on me. They accept cash only. Seems like area has been transforming a bit and places like this deserve 5-stars. read more

In my opinion, this place has the best variety of donuts that melts in your mouth! Always tastes fresh & stays fresh! You can save it for the next day & it remains moist, unlike any other donuts I've had. The best part about this place is that everytime I make a quick stop, the donuts always tastes exactly the same... something you can always count ontwo thumbs up to the baker! When I went to pick it up, I grabbed a saucer to avoid spilling on my way back to my seat. Before I could even walk away, one of the baristas snatched it from my hand and said, "You're not allowed to use that. The saucers go with the latte mugs!" I paused, glanced at the empty café behind me, and replied, "There are plenty available--surely I can use one." He continued, in a dismissive tone, speaking to me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful. I chose to walk away and still enjoy my pour-over. But it's not just about serving good coffee. As Maya Angelou reminds us, people will always remember how you made them feel. And in this space, I felt unwelcome. As a paying customer--one who tipped in advance--that behavior felt undeserved and unwarranted. For that reason, there's no need to return.

DAMO 100% uses ceremonial grade quality and probably 5-6g of matcha per serving!! I prefer my matcha unsweetened (occasionally having some sweetness added from the syrup/puree/cloud foam a cafe uses) and whatever blend DAMO uses..chef's kiss!! I've been here 4 times, and the quality is consistent each time! Service: quick Parking: lowkey horrible (but that's all of k-town...) Shop design: aesthetic--very minimalistic and pretty. They also have a restroom and free WiFi! Limited seats when busy :c Drinks: BOMB.com will always come back :)

Parking here may be difficult to find on the street, but they do have valet, too. On a Saturday afternoon, this spot is packed and quite hard to find a place to sit. Wi-Fi is available, though note that plugs and seating may be another issue. Not every spot comes with a plug, and it's going to be full, so you may need to wait 15-20 minutes. It is indeed a small spot, so if you're looking for a quiet spot to work, this might not be it. The interior decor, though, is quite clean aesthetically and is relaxing to work in. The Matcha Latte, though, let me say if you're in need of an afternoon pick-me-up, this will keep you energized, even without the sugar! A few sips in and a half cup later, I had so much energy I could probably run a marathon if I had the right shoes (and I don't even like running).

This is the first time I didnt have a good experience with the flavor. :( Top of the einspanner - fantastic. However the strawberry puree was too bitter for my taste. I wanted to call to just let anyone know if they could just check the batch. But unfortunately theres no number to contact. Honestly it just needs to be more sweetened is all. Hopefully owners/staff is able to see this so they can taste test the strawberry puree. Otherwise, still love this place!
