Jumbo Chicago dog and a side of onion rings.
Erik E.

tl:dr Everything you'd expect a small town drive-in to be. Good food, good prices, good service. Nothing to rave about, but no complaints. First, I feel like I made a horrible mistake with my order. Here I am at burger town and what do I order? A Chicago dog. Perhaps it was not understanding what a "Charcoburger" was (I later found out that it is a charcoal grilled burger... WHY DIDN'T I ORDER THAT?!). The dog was good, but it was served with everyday relish, not the classic neon green. The onion rings were nice and crunchy, and had a little seasoning to the batter. My strawberry malt was made with strawberry syrup, not actual strawberries. The carhop was very attentive, and checked in on us a couple times more than I expected. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely be stopping back to try one of their burgers.

They did not disappoint! Haven't been there in years, and their fish sandwich was just as good as it was those years ago!

Annie's Burger Town catered a wedding at our venue. The staff was very professional and kind. I would highly recommend them.

I ordered a beer at the bar with the friendly bartender while I perused the menu at a table. I decided on their traditional bone in wings, 12 for $16.49, split between their applewood dry rub and their honey bbq dry rub. At over $1.37 per wing, I had high hopes these pricey wings would be worth the cost. And then this is where things went quickly downhill. The kitchen in this bar is small and they do orders one at a time, no batches. I had no idea that when I ordered there were multiple large carry out/door dash orders ahead of me, which meant I had to wait over an hour for my order of wings. Thankfully I had time to waste while watching the game, but no order of wings should take that long, especially without being told about the extraordinarily long wait when I ordered. I will say, once my order arrived, they redeemed theirselves. The wings were large, perfectly fried (tender, juicy and not one bit over cooked) and they were tossed evenly in the flavorful and unique dry rubs. Absolutely no complaints, just pure satisfaction. Okay, okay, they are still pricey, but if it wasn't for that long wait I wouldn't have been bothered by the final check. Station 20, please work on those wait times or find a way to handle in-store orders separately from your door dashers. Solve that issue and you would one of my top wing destinations.

Everything was greasy goodness and made to perfection. Also, I LOVED that the bloodies came with olives stuffed with little pickles. Our server was also the bartender and she was extremely attentive, friendly, and quick. Also, the atmosphere was what you'd expect from a good dive. I'll be back!

Service was pleasant enough but s-l-o-w. Restaurant was not busy but there was one large party of about a dozen which seemed to overwhelm the two servers. For the entire time we were there we didn't see any front of house staff (manager, host, bussers) other than two servers. Cleanliness was poor. We were there for over an hour and tables near us were not cleared or cleaned at all. Dirty dishes with leftover food sitting on them for the duration of our meal. Food all over the floor. Not an appetizing atmosphere. All-in-all poor value for the money.

That is one of my favorite dishes at most Italian restaurants. This looked like boiled chicken breasts, no color at all. The "lemon" sauce was like water and did not taste like lemon at all. More like vinegar. The "grilled"asparagus was sitting in the water and tasted boiled, not grilled. Mashed potatoes were decent, but sitting in a bowl of watery sauce did not help. Do not order this if you are expecting traditional Piccata. The angel hair pasta with "marinara" sauce my husband ordered was very bland, it was more like canned regular tomato sauce stirred into pasta...no joke. We wonder if there is a different owner, and cook. The nice young man who was our server was very good. We will not be back, and that is sad aswe liked it before.

My husband and I were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a gluten free lighter option before a spa day. I'm so glad we found Green Grocer. It was packed. Not an empty seat in the place around 12:00 on a Saturday. We did have to circle around for parking as well, but only had to walk a short distance from across the street. I got a drip coffee with blueberry waffle flavor and cream. The coffee was very good. I believe they use Collectivo. The gluten free raspberry financier was even better. It was similar to a Madeline cookie, but larger and raspberry in the center. I would drive back just for the pastry. We also got sandwiches from the deli and two fountain drinks from bar. I loved my build your own turkey and Swiss with sprouts, lettuce, tomato's pickle, onion, mayo, mustard, and sub sauce on gluten free bread. The bar service was great too. I definitely recommend Green Grocer for sandwiches and coffee, especially if you want to avoid the craziness of downtown Lake Geneva. Seems like the locals know this place is fantastic as it was non stop busy.

First visit, the bar wasn't open. The lower bar bartender told us we could go up to the roof top but needed to bring our own dishes down. Second visit, large sign at entry said roof top bar was open. Several tables and all seats at the bar were full but no bartender on a very warm day. It rained earlier in the day so many of the tables and chairs were wet. We were able to go behind the bar to grab paper towels to clean off the seats. Again had to bring up drinks from the lower bar. Lower bar tender moves like a snail. After about an hour, a bartender shows up to the roof top and says she was watching the weather and decided to come to work. The lower bar is nice but why offer a roof top bar if you cannot service it. There were many customers that left frustrated at the lack of service. Hopefully management will get it together. This could be a great asset to our small town.

We talked about it throughout Friday, Saturday, and Monday at work and even mentioned it to several people who came into our workplace, commenting on how appealing the new drink looked. On Tuesday morning around 8:00 a.m. I went out of my way to stop by the coffee shop to pick up four banana bread lattes so my coworkers and I could enjoy a treat together. An older woman greeted me and took my order. When I requested four drinks, she responded with "Four?" and loudly called out to another employee that she would need help. I paid and stepped aside to wait. Shortly after, while assisting the customer behind me, the same employee stated aloud, "We just took a large order and it's probably going to be a little bit of a wait." I was very taken aback by this comment. I did not feel that four drinks constituted a large order, nor did I expect it to cause a significant delay. The comment made me feel uncomfortable, as if I were being blamed for slowing down the store or disrupting the flow of service. The younger gentleman working was very kind and professional, repeatedly reassuring her that it was not a big deal and that everything would be fine. Unfortunately, as this is not the most convenient coffee stop for me, being treated this way made the experience disappointing--especially when there are nearby options like Starbucks or Dunkin' where service is consistently friendly and welcoming. Moving forward, I will likely choose those alternatives to avoid starting my day with unnecessary stress or negative interactions.
