I am a English mutt. So I was pretty happy to check it out. The food, coffee and tea where all excellent. We will go back, but. Here is why they didn't get a five. Our bill was $40.86. I was so pleased with our meal that i ordered a Blueberry muffin to go. The cashier says okay $56.00 I am like how much is a muffin?? Annie the owner comes over and apologizes. She adjusted the bill and walks away. Now the cashier says $52.00. I went online and looked the muffin is $3.39! Not $11.00. I just paid the bill and left also I still left a good tip on top of that. We stayed at La Quinta hotel, across the street and were supposed to have breakfast included in our room rate but when we were handed a brown paper sack with only a gas station danish, granola bar and a mini fruit cup and a bottle of water, we decided to venture out to get a decent breakfast. Came out to Temecula for my birthday and wanted to end the weekend festivities with a nice brunch. After a quick search, Annie's caught my eye with the feature picture of a mimosa flight. It seemed cool and most of the reviews were positive. Unfortunately, I didn't quite get the 5 star experience. After being seated it took 10min for someone to come take our drink orders, followed by a 15min wait to get the drinks. Some of the drinks were wrong, but we didn't want to wait for them to be swapped out. My mimosa flight included the Apple Pie, Cotton Candy, Lavender, and Sunrise (which was supposed to be the Mojito). Holy diabetes they were so sugary! I shouldn't have been too surprised considering the names but they were almost undrinkable. Food also took a while to arrive and was on par with an IHop. Seated in the back corner, I started to feel like a red headed stepchild as we seemed to rarely see any servers. Not a bad place if everywhere else is booked and you don't feel like cooking or drive thru. read more

My family loves this place we have dined here many more times than the amount we checked in. The food is always good, never a disappointing meal. I always stick to a few of my favorites, while my husband jumps all over the menu. My daughter especially loves their waffles and the good looking young men that work there. (She has never turned down a trip to Annies). They do this weird thing if your a first timer at Annie's. The will embarrass the crap out of you. You have to put on some funky ass hat, and they sing to you. I knew this before ever going to Annie's so I never submitted to this type of torture. The trash can was filled to the brim with Starbucks cups as obviously others had the same idea to pass time. Hopefully they were able to finish theirs! Annie's is a great breakfast spot. I ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. The pancake was large (it filled the plate). I had to add a lot of salt on the potatoes (I like my food very seasoned). The prices were inexpensive and they had great customer service. They even did a little Christmas dance for the customers which was very cute. All and all this restaurant gets 4 stars. read more

We visited Annie's because a certain Instagram account is continuously posting about it, and they have a really cute photo opportunity out front (a big red phone booth), but we weren't impressed. My kids ordered the chicken tenders and I ordered the chicken tacos, which were just chicken tenders cut up and put into corn tortillas. They were very dry as they didn't come with salsa or sour cream, and had little flavor. We had high expectations for this spot and plan to give it another go for breakfast. First time at Annie's. With such high reviews I had high expectations. I ordered a simple breakfast called the number one but being Christmas time I upgraded my pancakes to pumpkin pancakes. They weren't on the menu but when I asked the server told me they were available for $1 more. Well...I think I got the only two pumpkin pancakes they had all season long. I can just hear the staff cheering in the back "yay, we finally sold that pair of pumpkin pancakes". They were dry & cold and hard on the edges (that's what she said ). My eggs tasted old. Came here on a Saturday for brunch based on the good reviews. Another disappointment from the Yelpers. :( It was somewhat busy so the 25 minute wait was no big deal. Once we were seated, our waitress took our drink orders. She brought out a regular coffee instead of the mocha we ordered and was assured it would be brought out right away. We didn't know right away meant 30+ minutes. It took probably another 20 minutes to get our food. We ordered the corned beef hash, country fried steak, and two kids meals. The hash browns were cold, hard and stale. The country fried steak was hard and the only good thing about them was the gravy. The kids' sausage was burnt. To make matters worse, our waitress was not attentive at all. She would ask us if we needed anything, then walk away as we were still speaking to her. We don't plan on coming back. Came to Annie's this morning; very lovely older English lady who dances her way around the restaurant with or without the other staff. We went for the English breakfast, and we were all starving! The coffee could be stronger, it was really quite weak, but it seems to be the same in most diners unfortunately. The staff who worked our tables were fab! Couldn't be more helpful! So friendly! The food came (full English) and I was really disappointed. Sausages were really good, so was the bacon, but my home fries were freezing cold and the potatoes were not cooked through. I swapped them on to a separate plate and ate the rest of the food.
