My go-to place for a pastrami Swiss burger. ''Tis place make it the way I would make my own. It also comes with a side of a cup of menudo which is also very good. MODERN & WELL-LIT! This insta-worthy diner has great decor and even better egg-based food. I absolutely loved my country skillet with bacon, green peppers, ham, and more. It's a skillet unlike most with excellent flavor and execution. I wish I could say about the biscuits and gravy (too generic, weird aftertaste). Overall, the food is GREAT and I will be returning to go another round with their skillet menu. Service was meh, I think the waitress could've been a little more attentive and there wasn't a greeting at the door. The kitchen staff were excellent, huge thanks to them for their hard work and dedication. I saw people working the counter and kitchen at a breakneck speed. Bravo! The diner looks smaller on the outside, but it feels very spacious and sizable on the inside. I felt like I had plenty of room to move around. Conveniently located right off the 215 FWY off Los Alamos Rd exit in the 'Sierra Vista Plaza' shopping center near Stater Bros with plenty of parking. For breakfast, I had their 'Mixed Berry Crepes' which consists of 2 Crepes filled with sweet cream cheese, topped with fresh berries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. I upgraded to a combo by adding 2 eggs and 2 bacon. Everything tasted amazing, with that VIP authentic taste I've come to expect. The restaurant is spacious and organized with counter seating available. There's also a few tables outside. This diner offers so many options from All-day breakfast, burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, and dinner plates. My only minor note is that the service was a little slow here, I had to request a coffee refill. Overall, it's a great spot to get a good and satisfying meal. read more

Small place with lots of options. We have become regulars, truly enjoy the variety. I can recommend the fettuccine Alfredo, the pozole, the chicken enchiladas, the carne asada, it's all good! Lacking in flavor, and should have been named hominy soup. Chili verde wet burrito, with sour cream & salsa (extra charge) was also pricey & bland. Tortilla on burrito was hard. (Old). VIP Cafe is super close to our house and has become one of our go-to local spots for breakfast and brunch. We stopped by today and decided to try something different -- I ordered the pozole, and it did not disappoint. It came with tortilla chips and all the traditional condiments: cabbage, radish, oregano, and red chili peppers. It was so tasty and honestly tasted homemade. I also love that they offer it seven days a week. They also have menudo on the menu, which I'll have to try next time. My husband ordered the French toast plate with eggs, hash browns, ham, bacon, and sausage -- and he absolutely devoured it. He finished most of his plate and still made sure to try my pozole too. Portions are generous and everything came out hot and fresh. Service here is always on point, and the food comes out quickly, which we appreciate. This place definitely gets packed, especially on weekends. We came fairly early, but by the time we left there was already a line out the door. It's clearly a popular local spot in the Murrieta/Temecula area. Highly recommend if you're looking for a solid breakfast or brunch spot. Waitress offered to get us a new one but i dont trust their cooks after that. Who says you can't have Enchiladas for Breakfast! This breakfast choice was perfect for my Mexican craving. It's called, "Huevos a Caballo" you get two eggs on top of cheese enchiladas with a side of beans and choice of second side. I got the hash brown side and it was absolutely delicious! What sealed the deal for me is their special hot salsa. If you like spice don't forget to ask for it on the side. This is a story of how to lose a years long regular customer in one encounter Been coming here for years . Great service, great food. Order the same thing every time. Today I came in, order my usual. I requested, as I have for years to have two sausage replaced with two bacon instead. I was told that they cannot do that. I looked up at the waitress and said, 'You sure about that? " I get a very short and snarky "Yup". I said I've been coming here for years and it's not correct. I was then told that it comes "as is". I said, ok, nothing for me . My wife ordered. The waitress comes back a minute or two later and says "they must have changed it , I can do it" . We all know that is complete garbage and her way of deflecting responsibility for what just happened. This after telling her I've been coming here for years and never had this occur. I said no thanks to her offer. She lost the restaurant that revenue and she lost that tip and she lost the customer. As I walked up to pay for my wife's breakfast I saw her muttering something to the other waitress at the cash register who then looked at me as if I was the problem here. Bad look and bad move. You earned this review. This has nothing to do with the substitution , this is purely about the waitresses snarkiness, bad attitude, incompetence and unwillingness to take responsibility for her mistake. Their daily specials are amazing, and the portions are large enough for great leftovers (or very big appetites!) the service is excellent every time. The restaurant is busy, but efficient. They have a limited alcohol selection (beer, mimosas) and offer mimosa flights. It is quiet, but does have televisions. I recommend for breakfast and/or lunch. Lots of parking.
