MODERN & WELL-LIT! This insta-worthy diner has great decor and even better egg-based food. I absolutely loved my country skillet with bacon, green peppers, ham, and more. It's a skillet unlike most with excellent flavor and execution. I wish I could say about the biscuits and gravy (too generic, weird aftertaste). Overall, the food is GREAT and I will be returning to go another round with their skillet menu. Service was meh, I think the waitress could've been a little more attentive and there wasn't a greeting at the door. The kitchen staff were excellent, huge thanks to them for their hard work and dedication. I saw people working the counter and kitchen at a breakneck speed. Bravo! The diner looks smaller on the outside, but it feels very spacious and sizable on the inside. I felt like I had plenty of room to move around. The atmosphere was quite happy and the cafe has an excellent use of natural light.

Conveniently located right off the 215 FWY off Los Alamos Rd exit in the 'Sierra Vista Plaza' shopping center near Stater Bros with plenty of parking. For breakfast, I had their 'Mixed Berry Crepes' which consists of 2 Crepes filled with sweet cream cheese, topped with fresh berries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. I upgraded to a combo by adding 2 eggs and 2 bacon. Everything tasted amazing, with that VIP authentic taste I've come to expect. The restaurant is spacious and organized with counter seating available. There's also a few tables outside. This diner offers so many options from All-day breakfast, burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, and dinner plates. My only minor note is that the service was a little slow here, I had to request a coffee refill. Overall, it's a great spot to get a good and satisfying meal.

How nice. We got there at 7am just as they opened and were greeted very warmly. We ordered the Thursday special and a border omelet. Bothered were yummy and bigger than we could eat. 100% a place to go. (And they have huge iced teas) Yay!

One star for good service. Pricey, for food that is below mediocre. $17.95 for a medium sized bowl of pozole with half of lime, some cabbage, radishes & chops on the side. Lacking in flavor, and should have been named hominy soup. Chili verde wet burrito, with sour cream & salsa (extra charge) was also pricey & bland. Tortilla on burrito was hard. (Old). Meatloaf plate left a lot to be desired! Weird flavor. Would I go back? If there was no other choice, MAYBE. Please do better.

Brought the boys for breakfast before going back to school. We were seated right away but it was busy. Carlos was our server and was so kind and easy going with ordering with my boys. Much appreciated! I had the California omelette and it was huge. You get 2 sides and I got hash browns and a biscuit with gravy to take home for another day. One son had the breakfast burrito and it is huge! He loved it! The other ordered off the kids menu and it was more than enough food! Really great place for breakfast. Our first time here and we will be back!

Everything was on point! Comfortable environment, huge menu done very well, and impeccable staff. Leo was my server and I can't say enough nice things about him. He was genuine, personable, and went above and beyond with service. Will be back :)

Found my new go-to spot in the area! I had the pozole and it was absolutely amazing--easily some of the best I've had. VIP Café has a great variety of food options, so there's something for everyone, and the pricing is perfect for the quality you get. A huge thanks to Carlos, our server; he was super attentive and gave us some great recommendations that hit the mark. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is really great. They have a diner style menu yet a cool vibe inside. The food was amazing I had the chicken Alfredo pasta and it was delicious. The bread the pasta came with was one of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back for some breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend this place

If you value your time, your money, or -- more importantly -- your health, keep walking…read more This is my second review of The Mill, and somehow it's worse than the first. Last time, my fiancée and I came in on our engagement day to celebrate with brunch and were turned away at the door because we had iced coffees from next door. Real classy way to treat customers. Management never responded to that review. Shocker. So against my better judgment, I gave them another shot this morning. Here's what happened: I have a gluten allergy. I told my waitress. I specifically asked her to check whether one of the menu items was gluten-free -- which she did -- and I clearly asked for my toast on a separate plate so my wife could have it. Simple request. Clear communication. Done. Food came out with bread sitting directly on top of everything on my plate. When I pointed out the mistake and reminded them of my allergy, the person who delivered the food had the audacity to respond with an irritated "I guess we are going to have to remake the food." You messed up the order. The attitude is completely backwards. Then my waitress came back to tell me she "didn't know" about my allergy. I stated it twice and had her look something up because of it. Either she didn't write it down, or the kitchen ignored it entirely. Either way -- a gluten allergy isn't a preference, it's a health issue. First plate took 15 minutes. Remake took another 15. While sitting outside waiting, we overheard our waitress telling another table their order had also been messed up by the kitchen. So it's not just us. Let's be honest about what The Mill serves: basic breakfast. Eggs, bacon, potatoes. This isn't a Michelin-starred tasting menu. It's breakfast. And you still managed to get it wrong twice in one visit. The "breakfast pizza" I've tried before wasn't good either. And the apple chicken sausage? It tastes like wet dog food -- I don't know what's in that but it should not be on the menu. To their credit, they remade the food and our waitress was pleasant despite everything. The hal-o-penyo sauce was genuinely good. That's it. That's the entire list of positives. The real issue is systemic. The kitchen staff is either disorganized or resentful about their own mistakes. Communication between the floor and the kitchen is nonexistent. Management clearly doesn't care -- they didn't respond to my last review, and nothing has changed. A restaurant that can't handle allergy requests for a scrambled eggs order is not a restaurant that takes its customers seriously. I gave you two chances. You burned both. I won't be back, and I'll be making sure my friends and family know exactly what to expect here.

This time I decided to try the bacon eggs Benedict and was unfortunately a little disappointed. For those unfamiliar, eggs Benedict is typically an English muffin topped with a poached egg and a creamy hollandaise sauce. I was expecting the egg yolk to be runny when cut into, but it turned out to be fully hard-boiled instead . The hollandaise had a nice flavor and good acidity, but it seemed slightly broken. It was cooked to absolute perfection with the bones separating right off to indulge to the fullest extent. They tell you it takes 30 mins to cook, which is well worth the wait. The skin was perfectly crispy and the seasoning was to die for. The meat was juicy and I couldn't stop eating it alongside the garlic yogurt. It also came with a side of chickpeas and summer squash. The cocktails were a nice break away from all the wine in Temecula - but I wished the drinks would be punchier and more creative. The charred cauliflower was a nice order, though it was too "raw" and therefore dry. I think it'd be better lightly fried to lock in some juice. Service was fantastic, especially as the server is the one that pushed us to get the fish. The ambiance is fantastic; we stayed inside but the outside is beautiful. Overall, I can't believe that fish; I hope to try it again when I revisit the area.

What attracted me was the Texas Style BBQ and I've read plenty of positive reviews saying the BBQ is legit. Last Saturday on July 4th we made our way to Temecula to dine at the Swing Inn Cafe & BBQ. The town was packed due to a 250th birthday celebration parade. The parade blocked us from getting to the restaurant. We had to wait until it was over which was like 20 minutes. At the hostess station we were advised it would be a 45 minutes wait for a party of 5. The place was busy with customers but the employees did an excellent job in providing great service. 20 minutes later we were seated outside. There were six parties ahead of us but they didn't show when called. Guess they got tired of waiting. I ordered a full rack of the pork spare ribs with smoked beans as my one side. But when I got my food I had an extra side of smoked beans. The ribs were tender, thick and the meat came of the bone easily. It had a nice smokey taste and the smoked beans complimented the meat. I have to admit one of the best spare pork ribs I had in my life. My mom got the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well and very tender. My step dad ordered Large Brisket plate with coleslaw. And my brother and sister in law both got the 2 meat plate with smoked turkey and brisket with sides of macaroni and cheese and smoked beans. The beef brisket and smoke turkey was very good according to my family. For dessert I got the cinnamon roll a popular item, step dad and mom shared a slice of apple pie and my brother got the coconut cream pie. Everything was very sweet and delicious. We were hoping to catch Dean but I figured he was probably spending time with family on this holiday.
