awesome mom and pop restaurant on the 74 highway! This restaurant is the best hidden gem! whether you're a local or a traveler coming on the 215, this is a place to try. All the food is made to order and tastes amazing. You cannot beat the prices either and the portions are great! Give this place a try!

Good food, and good prices, and honestly the service is great. I am not sure why other people have a problem here. I have now come back for a second time, and honestly. I wouldn't go anywhere else for breakfast just don't make it complicated and appreciate life more

Cute little spot on Highway 74. Super friendly and homemade food! We stopped on our way to Oceanside. We were the only table at the time but there is construction going on so it would be easy to miss. There were 5 of us, nobody was disappointed with their choice. Four of us chose something off the Mexican menu, delicious with homemade beans and rice. My daughter ordered a ham and cheese sandwich that she said reminded her of the way her grandma makes it! Means it was bomb. Definitely a place worth stopping for.

I'm a big fan of "holes in the wall" and this fits the description perfectly. Located on the north side of highway 74 this place is cozy and gives off family style vibes reminiscent of family breaks fast on a Sunday. The service is great, we were immediately greeted and the right expectations were set as they were pretty busy. Food was great I had the chicken fried steak, eggs, and hash brown. My wife had the 2 meat breakfast burrito. The portion and prices were just right, I am definitely coming back whenever I'm back out this way. I would give this place a 4.5 if I could.

The food was amazing... home made taste, place is outdated but man oh man food was good. Chorizo excellent, huevos ranchero excellent, steak and egg was ok. Prices are very good. I can't wait to try the entire menu. Kind of hard to find restaurant due to signage.

Decided to come here on a whim. I always pass by but always forget it's a restaurant so it's easy to miss. I actually came on July 4th and they were working regular hours, which is to close by 2PM. My bf and I got there for lunch and they weren't too busy but still had orders coming in. There was another gentleman eating there at the time and also an older couple picking up an order Togo. While we were waiting for our food, someone else called in an order for Togo. My bf ordered the chicken friend steak and I ordered the steak ranchero. Both were good especially for the price but I liked mine better. I would definitely come back and try their other dishes and I'm always looking for a burrito spot so I look forward to that.

This is a cute little hidden gem in the city of Sun City! It is owned by a cute older couple & everything is homemade & fresh to order! It can be easily missed, considering it is right off HWY 74 but the food here is delicious and the prices are cheap (could you ask for anything more?!) They are open until 7pm during the week! I recommend this place to everyone and families as well! Stop by, support your locals & their businesses - you definitely won't regret it! PS. Rice and beans are TO DIE FOR! So fresh & comforting just like home.

Chicken fried steak. 2 eggs over easy. Hash browns extra crispy with 2 extra eggs over easy mashed in by me.

The menu is very basic, also reminiscent of classic burger joints. You can get a classic burger, bacon burger, and one other burger (I forgot the last one). You can order up to four patties if you're extra adventurous. The most expensive burger with four patties is about $20. Fries are crispy shoestring style and pair well with the burgers. I wouldn't say the "Papa Sauce" is anything crazy, it's essentially thousand-island sauce. Papa Smash's mascot is an instant icon, he's a mix of Bob's Big Boy & Ness from Earthbound. Love the retro style of the indoor seating area, There's plenty of tables and a fountain for drink refills. The joint is super clean, I'd gladly visit with a little group again. Parking is shared with next door gas station and car wash, so it's slightly limited. Note: This is NOT gas station food, it's solely on its own and a separate business. The wagyu is incredible, you'd make a mistake passing this up.

There was no wait for a booth, and the restaurant had a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with TVs throughout the dining room. The complimentary bread was warm, fluffy, and fresh. The cinnamon butter was tasty, though definitely on the sweeter side. The peanuts were exactly what you'd expect from Texas Roadhouse. For drinks, we tried the blue lemonade and strawberry lemonade. The blue lemonade tasted pretty similar to regular lemonade, but the free refills were a nice bonus. The strawberry lemonade was the standout and definitely worth ordering. We also tried the Dragonfruit Sparkler, which was fruity, refreshing, and one of the better specialty drinks on the menu. For entrees, the Herb Crusted Chicken Dinner was the clear winner. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and the corn on the side was surprisingly delicious. The Country Fried Chicken Dinner was just okay. It wasn't bad, but I've had better versions elsewhere, and even with the gravy it felt a little lacking in flavor. The fries were pretty standard. Another plus was the large parking lot and the reasonable prices. The portions were generous, and overall the meal felt like a good value for the money. A special shoutout to Candace for providing friendly and attentive service throughout our visit. Overall, Texas Roadhouse delivered a solid dining experience with good food, affordable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely come back for the herb crusted chicken and strawberry lemonade.

He decided to give me the gift card this evening to enjoy a nice meal as our kiddos were at their grandparents and he was working. I ordered a $30+ meal the 6oz sirloin + shrimp and two sides. I got it to go so I could enjoy it at home. While I was waiting (I had arrived very close to the pickup time), I noticed an employee standing next to the driver's side of a car talking to the driver, who appeared to be an acquaintance. I could clearly overhear the conversation, and the employee was saying things that I found completely inappropriate to be discussing while standing right in front of the restaurant, even if it was technically in the parking lot. Two minutes before my pickup time, I went to the to-go window and received my food. When I got home, I realized my rolls didn't include the house butter. Whatever! It's not the end of the world. But worth noting as you would think this would be standard to provide. What became really problematic was the meal itself. I ordered my steak well done, but it arrived bleeding and wasn't even close to medium well. Why ask how I want my steak cooked if you aren't going to cook it that way? The shrimp was cold and incredibly salty. The potato? How do you get a potato wrong? Well, somehow they managed...it was stale and overly salty too. The broccoli I don't even think was steamed for more than a minute before you gave it "seasoning". The entire meal was awful and for $30?! Hahahaha I guess really the joke was on me for paying such an absurd amount but I really was expecting some quality somewhere. It just wasn't there all at. We still have money left on our gift card, but we'll be giving it away because we won't be coming back. I didn't even bother calling to complain because, judging by the quality of the food, I don't think a complaint would make any difference. I added a photo of my "well done steak".

A $25 cake-cutting fee shouldn't have overshadowed our son's birthday, but the way it was handled…read moredid. We've been coming here for years. It has been our go-to steakhouse, and we've even celebrated our anniversary here. We love the food, which makes what happened during our son's birthday dinner especially disappointing. After an excellent steak dinner that cost approximately $330, we brought out a small, pre-sliced ice cream Polar Pizza for our son's birthday. I began serving it myself because it was already sliced. The waitress then came over and, in a confrontational manner, announced that we would be charged a $25 cake-cutting fee. The fee may have previously been mentioned to my wife, but I was not aware of it when I began serving the cake. I understand that restaurants have policies, and a calm explanation would have been enough. Instead, the situation was turned into an unnecessary scene during our son's birthday celebration. Then another large male employee came over, stepped directly into my personal space, and angrily asked, "Would you bring beer into a bar?" He got right in my face without first asking what had happened or allowing me to explain. His tone and decision to get that close were aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. We ultimately paid the $25 fee even though the staff did not cut, plate, or serve the cake. The fee was frustrating, but the confrontational way the employees handled the situation was far worse. Families considering celebrating a child's birthday here should confirm every outside dessert policy beforehand. In our case, what should have been a joyful moment for our son became an upsetting experience. It did not leave us feeling as though families celebrating with children were welcomed or valued. A simple and respectful conversation could have resolved everything in seconds. Instead, their response changed the entire mood and ruined what should have been a special ending to our son's birthday dinner. The food may still be excellent, but a restaurant is remembered for more than its steaks. After years of loyalty, the aggressive and disrespectful way this was handled during our son's birthday has cost them our business. We will not be returning.
