He's fantastic and makes every visit even more enjoyable. Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall fool you. There's plenty of convenient parking, and once you step inside, you'll forget where it's located. This is definitely a place worth checking out. The atmosphere is casual with a trendy, modern feel. The music is always great, with a mix of hip-hop and other upbeat favorites. The Art Deco-inspired décor gives the restaurant plenty of character and makes it a fun spot for Instagram-worthy photos. If you've read my other reviews, you already know I love a good mojito! I ordered mine with Tito's Vodka, and it was excellent. Every cocktail is handcrafted to order--no premixes here. My friends enjoyed an Old Fashioned, complete with the smoky presentation, and we also tried the Savage Cowboy. It isn't listed on the menu, but if you like whiskey, ask for it! Oh my gosh was this place great! Super packed and busy make sure to make a reservation! We booked a last minute reservation for dinner and they were able to get us in, as it seemed like the nicest restaurant in the proximity to our Airbnb. Service was phenomenal the entire time they even gave us a private room unknowingly that we were there celebrating my bachelorette party. We were super happy, the area was cozy and private, perfect for our small group. They offer a bunch of different options on espresso martinis, you can custom different liquors and flavors. We all tried different combinations and they were all wonderful. Onto the food, we were blown away! Couldn't believe that finding this place last minute gave us such an incredible experience. The food was top notch and delicious. The Mac and cheese was soooo creamy and flavorful. The steak was cooked perfect and they have several dipping sauces to choose from. During the World Cup, the TVs were difficult to see from the dining room, so many guests including us ended up checking phones instead of occasionally glancing at the game which defeats the overall experience and both food and company etiquette . I don't expect a sports bar, but if TVs are installed, they should either be functional or not be there at all. We also never received a soda refill or were asked if we'd like another drink. Our server was wonderful, I can't remember her name but she had dimples, short salt & pepper hair, and an amazing personality!! We started with the PB&J wings as an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. The wings were cooked perfectly and the peanut sauce it came with for dipping was such an amazing compliment to the wings. We also had drinks. My cousin had the coconut margarita and said it was so good. I had a glass of Rose. For our entrees, I ordered the Steak & Shroom flatbread, and my cousin ordered the Motor City Deep Dish. We both enjoyed our entrees, but were full from the wings. The vibe is upbeat and lively. There are a lot of tables and bar seating. The music was absolutely amazing. We were seated immediately and our server, Elison brought water. I ordered the Steak and eggs and a Bloody Mary. The steak was an 8 oz Filet Mignon, the eggs were over easy and the plate came with small potatoes. Everything was delicious! For desert we were brought S'mores and a flame pot to cook them. Straight-up nostalgic cool. Late '80s / early '90s hip-hop and R&B playing loud and proud. Think Tribe Called Quest, TLC, and a dash of old school "It was a good day" hip hop. My husband and I ride at Savage Spin (shoutout) and the owners of these fine establishments are married. So naturally we had to check it out. The ambiance is fun, great music, and comfortable. The prices are on the higher end about $30 to $80 for each person so that can add up fast and if you're a big eater you'll leave here still hungry because the portions aren't how we say American sized, lol. For me the amount was good enough. -But the quality of the food and the flavors and creativity of the dishes I'd say they're very good! Drinks are mixed great also. Cool atmosphere inside with some of the hip-hop legends on the walls. It sucks they're hidden in the corner of the parking lot and hard for drivers driving by to see what's there but I'd recommend it for the food alone.
