The chef personally comes out to greet you, brings out dishes himself, and explains everything with so much passion and love... and you can truly taste it in the food. We ordered the beef carpaccio and WOW... packed with flavor. Soooo good. Oh my gosh was this place great! Super packed and busy make sure to make a reservation! We booked a last minute reservation for dinner and they were able to get us in, as it seemed like the nicest restaurant in the proximity to our Airbnb. Service was phenomenal the entire time they even gave us a private room unknowingly that we were there celebrating my bachelorette party. We were super happy, the area was cozy and private, perfect for our small group. They offer a bunch of different options on espresso martinis, you can custom different liquors and flavors. We all tried different combinations and they were all wonderful. Onto the food, we were blown away! Couldn't believe that finding this place last minute gave us such an incredible experience. The food was top notch and delicious. The Mac and cheese was soooo creamy and flavorful. The steak was cooked perfect and they have several dipping sauces to choose from. My cousin and I had dinner on a busy Friday night at Savage Chef. She recommended it since I was in town visiting. We made a reservation for 8:15, which is highly recommended to and we were seated immediately. Our server was wonderful, I can't remember her name but she had dimples, short salt & pepper hair, and an amazing personality!! We started with the PB&J wings as an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. The wings were cooked perfectly and the peanut sauce it came with for dipping was such an amazing compliment to the wings. We also had drinks. My cousin had the coconut margarita and said it was so good. I had a glass of Rose. For our entrees, I ordered the Steak & Shroom flatbread, and my cousin ordered the Motor City Deep Dish. We both enjoyed our entrees, but were full from the wings. The vibe is upbeat and lively. There are a lot of tables and bar seating. The music was absolutely amazing. We celebrated my birthday at this fine establishment and we were not disappointed! It was Brunch on Sunday and we made reservations for 11:00 am. We were seated immediately and our server, Elison brought water. I ordered the Steak and eggs and a Bloody Mary. The steak was an 8 oz Filet Mignon, the eggs were over easy and the plate came with small potatoes. Everything was delicious! For desert we were brought S'mores and a flame pot to cook them. To finish my meal I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. The background music was epic and the noise level very low although the place was packed. I washed it all down with a couple of Orange Creamscicle beers from Belching Beaver (San Diego represent!) and my wife had a Diet Coke. Every bite, every sip--spot on. The vibe? Straight-up nostalgic cool. Late '80s / early '90s hip-hop and R&B playing loud and proud. Think Tribe Called Quest, TLC, and a dash of old school "It was a good day" hip hop. Staff were very welcoming and engaging. LISTEN, I am so disappointed in myself that I haven't been here months ago.. I will be dreaming about this pasta for weeks to come. My husband got a burger and my 5 year old as well. I didn't try the burgers but my husband demolished his and the fries were insanely good. Top notch. We also got the shishito peppers and they were amazing as well. This is an establishment that has a true chef behind the menu. I'd strongly advise against going in and just requesting weird changes to menu items because the way every dish has multiple layers and complimenting flavors. Walked in and walked right out! Didn't get to properly rate the restaurant. For a Friday night the wait time was an 1.5, with limited seating. The restaurant looked very cramped for the amount of people they have. I'm not giving it a fair review. This is solely based on wait time and based on that I gave it a one star. maybe in the future I'll get to try it and give it a respectable rating based on food.
