I'm from Los Angeles I'm here visiting and this has been the best meal I've had since I have been here

I love this place! Went a couple weeks ago with a friend and had the Croque Madame which was great! This time I brought 4 friends in for lunch and they absolutely loved it! Well, let me first state by saying that I haven't had a meal there yet. I went to check it out but I had just eaten so I had a beer. I met one of the owners and he was very charming and we had a nice chat and he handed me a discount coupon for a free appetizer or something for my return which is a clever move. It's a refreshing nicely curated interior, unseen in the Menifee area. This brings a little "elevated" sophistication to retirement central! A ray of SUN in the CITY one might say. Applebee's regulars be prepared for a new experience that might shock you if you can take the leap. The lovely plated dishes coming out of that kitchen were top-notch architectural masterpieces. I will have to return soon, but I'm vegetarian so I might have some limitation, but we'll see. Maybe they'll whip something up? The interior is trying to be real hip and it sort of works in a positive way but a little bit of that modern gauche. You know, kind of like Z gallery meets mid-century with a slight Lichtenstein tribute with a cartoonish flavour. It does work though, and carries to the exterior or the exterior carries to the interior? With the limitations of a strip mall it's a little bit hard to put lipstick on a pig. But they've executed it well and it's inviting and a departure from the norm. I'm excited to get there soon. read more

My wife and I tried this new place last Friday, and we had a great experience. We really enjoyed the live music and were pleasantly surprised by the menu, which featured a lot of unique and creative items. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's decorated beautifully and has a very welcoming atmosphere. I wasn't very hungry, so I only ordered the fried pickles, but they were absolutely fantastic. My wife ordered the fish tacos and loved them. So often when you order fish tacos, you end up searching for the fish, but that definitely wasn't the case here. The tacos were packed with fish and generously portioned. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more items from the menu. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

The food is so delicious, a small place but nicely decorated and live music on Fridays. Sometimes may take a little time to get the food but once you get it's delicious. We came on Valentines night without reservations. We had to wait but not very long. They managed to squeeze us in. There is very limited seating and you are close to your neighbors. It really does not matter. The menu is big and we could not choose so we picked several items to share. Service was great! Chef even came out and chatted with everyone. There was an issue At the kitchen so we had to wait for our food. They comp our dessert. Everything we ate was very good. I can tell they have regular customers and now I know why. The service and food here are phenomenal! We have had: chicken and waffles, barbacoa benedicts, short rib, empanadas, elote, plantains, and the chicken and sun dried tomato cream pasta (it's their best seller but I forget the name!). I love how the staff is all very well educated on the menu and we have seen Chris, either the owner and/or manager, every time we go. And he is equally delightful and helpful! The decor is really fun, too! Don't sleep on the toffee bundt cake. It's so delicious! read more

This place is a hidden gem! We were in Menifee and needed some food. This place was rated very well so far, so we gave it a try. So glad we did. It's so cute inside with cool colors and designs with artistic murals. It is pretty small so if you get here when it's busy, might have to wait a little bit. SERVICE: We were greeted nicely when we entered and were seated quickly. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. FOOD: Very tasty. They have a great selection of food and they serve breakfast all-day! I had the chicken Sammy myself and it was super crispy and tender - YUM! Walking into this restaurant, it feels small, yet cozy and very cute. The staff were very friendly, and the food was yummy! Especially the gnocchi pasta. I think the chilaquiles were okay, but overall a very good experience and can't wait to try more from the menu :) read more

3 of us stopped in for dinner for the first time here and it was packed. We didn't know reservations are a must, otherwise you'll wait at the front door like we did for a little while. There was live music at the time and the gal was pretty good jamming to some of our favorite 80's songs. The dining area is not very big but spacious enough to get comfortable. There was wine bottles on display, a bar at the entrance with no stools and probably because they opted for dining tables and chairs right out front. The staff were busy and it did take a little while to get our drink orders in and then waited a bit for food, but again it was a busy Friday night and the place was packed! So the wait was expected. Drinks were good. I had a Cadillac margarita and Michaelada's for the other two. Fish and chips had large portions of cod and it wasn't very tasty but the chips and salsa were made fresh and that was my favorite. Chicken Relleno wasn't very tasty. We figured we should've opted for the pasta as we looked around and saw many orders of pasta passing us by. Next time, for sure!! But I did enjoy the Salmon fish tacos and they were tasty!! Shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and beans and rice were great! There were chunks of salmon stuffed in the mix and it was filling. I would definitely stop by again to try their pastas! read more

You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and love what they do. We ordered two burgers with fries, and both were super tasty and cooked perfectly. I want to start off by saying it was definitely not what I was expecting. I don't know what I was expecting to see on the menu based on appearance and characters. The atmosphere gives Hispanic fusion. There is alot going on here food wise! Absolutely delicious food. Empanadas, appetizer fries, Blazing noodles, the Dip, and crab melt were so packed with flavor. Small casual looking restaurant located in a plaza. Come here for stiff cocktails, good food, and friendly service. We ordered the lamb shank special which came with parmesan toast and corn. Wow finally a restaurant that lives up the hype! Lady R Bistro is in the most unassuming parking lot but don't let that fool you. The food is fantastic! I went with a friend for an early dinner and everything was so flavorful. We had the Chile Gueritos to start- never had those before and again, wow. Chef Rosie's Bistro is a solid Four Star experience. But on a busy Saturday night, they were swamped with only two servers. Chris worked hard on taking orders and bringing out food... even though he must of had ten tables. Crazy. We loved the live guitar playing and boy, did he have range, from Carlos Santana to Marshal Mathers. Impressive. It really added to the laid back, fun feel of the place. Our food was somewhat uneven. What a pleasant find right in our own backyard. Lady Bistro is in "Sun City" proper west of the freeway off Maccoll road hidden in the various shopping centers located between Maccoll and Bradley road. There are a surprising amount of restaurants in this area, though at first glance one might not notice. The decor of Lady Bistro is cool chic. The couch in the shape of lips is cool. This is definitely a unique date place. They were quite full though we just sneaked in before the crowds at 450 even though we didn't have a reservation. This is a place that is always busy so come early or get a reservation. The service was quite friendly and welcoming. We had the empanada dish and they were quite good, the meat had a great Smokey flavor. Next was the Elotes corn which was super super good. In the running for the best I have had and had a very unique presentation. Next was the poutine fries. Basically your typical poutine fries, though the gravy was quite flavorful. The summer salad ( only possible in Cali) was super good. Full of leafy greens. Strawberries, walnuts, apples etc and the dressing was also great. We did have to wait a little for our main course, but it was no big deal because the ambiance was so great just chilling there with my beautiful wife on Valentine's Day listening to live acoustic guitar. For our trouble (really no trouble at all) they threw in their Super Amazing, gotta try Bundt cake desert which had ice cream, bacon, carmel all on a super moist toffee Bundt cake. Yum, Yum, Yum. I skipped over the short rib which was good, but we were so full from the previous dishes (we over ordered) that I didn't eat much, but was somehow able to pack in the Bundt cake. The nice chef came out and she was so apologetic, but no need because it was all so nice and the food overall was very good. The crazy thing is that there are still many things we still want to try. The space was perfect for our group, the food was great, and the service was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and made hosting the event easy and stress-free. Our attendees felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Huge thank you to Rosie and her husband, Chris, for being so welcoming and hands-on. Arrived Saturday at around 5:30. Restaurant was full, there were 2 tables of 2 open and 1 table for 4. A party of 4 were waiting in front of us, and we were next. They seated the party of 4 and immediately sat us at one of the 2 seated tables. Interior was clean, well lit, cool decor and although the place was packed (which I'm sure always is) was not overly loud or noisy. It's quiet enough to converse with each other but loud enough to have an intimate conversation with your partner and not be be overheard. Loved the vibe! We shared the wedge, it was just ok. Hubby had steak frites and I had bolognese with pappardelle, came with a beautiful Texas toast style bread. Geeze! Everything was absolutely perfect! We honestly said, have not been satisfied with a meal like this in such a long time! Dinner was so amazingly awesome, had to get dessert. Talk about a phenomenal way to end an amazing dinner, this was IT! Each bite was the perfect bite! Sweet mixed with savory perfection on a plate! Bits of savory crunch, soft buttery cake and smooth ice cream, couldn't be happier! The only sad part was it took us 3 years of living here to find this amazing piece of heaven! Super cute little spot in Sun City. Ambiance is ABSOLUTELY adorable and I'm in love. It's very tiny in there but decorated nicely. Staff was friendly (the guy;maybe the owner) made my mom and I feel especially comfortable. The other guest that were there were friendly too which was nice because we're not from the area.
