The menu is very basic, also reminiscent of classic burger joints. You can get a classic burger, bacon burger, and one other burger (I forgot the last one). You can order up to four patties if you're extra adventurous. The most expensive burger with four patties is about $20. Fries are crispy shoestring style and pair well with the burgers. I wouldn't say the "Papa Sauce" is anything crazy, it's essentially thousand-island sauce. Papa Smash's mascot is an instant icon, he's a mix of Bob's Big Boy & Ness from Earthbound. Love the retro style of the indoor seating area, There's plenty of tables and a fountain for drink refills. The joint is super clean, I'd gladly visit with a little group again. Pulled up and ordered the Triple Papa Smash, and let me tell you... this burger came in beefy like it had something to prove!! Exactly the kind of protein-packed chaos I signed up for. One day we woke up craving a smash burger! After what felt like an eternity searching, we finally landed on Papa Smash. We made the drive over and, to our surprise, there was no line in the drive-thru huge win! We placed our order, paid, and were on our merry way. We ordered two smash burgers, fries, and loaded fries. I do want to point out that it's a bit on the expensive side (in my opinion). Overall, the food was good the burgers and fries definitely hit the spot. I'll start by saying don't sleep on this place just because it's connected to the gas station. The food is definitely worth stopping through. They are always patient and helpful anytime I go. Called them and suggest them that they should change it and they just make up a bs "safety" excuse for transport. I tried this burger for the first time and I was not impressed. My burger bun was soggy and the meat patty lacked flavor. The fries were meh and much worse than In N Out fries. The girl on the drive thru was lovely and pleasant. I ordered 2 single burgers with one order of regular fries and the papa fries that come with cheese, meat and grilled onions, not impressed either and my total was $30.00. I am not a picky eater but sure can tell when something lacks flavor. There are only two parking spots in the front of the restaurant but you can probably park by the carwash exit and pretend you're gonna clean your car. I didn't wait too long on the drive thru. I recently stopped by Papa Smash after hearing some good things about their burgers, and while there are definitely some things they're doing right, there are also a few areas where they could tighten things up--especially if you're planning on taking your food to-go. First off, the customer service was top-notch. Seriously, 10/10. We went through the drive-thru and were greeted warmly, the staff was super friendly, and the whole process felt smooth and welcoming. That alone made a strong first impression. Now, on to the food. The burger itself was decent, but I couldn't help feeling like it was missing something. Mainly... seasoning. It wasn't bland exactly, but it lacked that extra punch of flavor that really makes a smash burger memorable. A little more salt and pepper--or even some house seasoning--could really take things up a notch. Then there's the bun. I'm all for a soft bun, but in this case, it just wasn't up to the job. Between the toppings, sauces, and the meat, the bun collapsed under pressure. By the time I got home, it was soggy beyond saving. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to toast the buns for some extra structure or switch to a sturdier option that can hold up to the weight of everything going on inside. As for the fries, they've got potential, but this is where the packaging let things down. They hand you your meal in an open-topped paper bag, which might be fine for a quick trip down the street, but for anyone driving more than five minutes, the fries get cold fast. They'd do well to take a page from In-N-Out's book with closed bags or lidded boxes to help keep the heat in and the fries fresh. To be fair, I think eating at Papa Smash fresh, on-site, would give you a much better experience. The flavors are there, and the food clearly has heart behind it, but it just doesn't hold up well for takeout. So if you're craving a smash burger and happen to be nearby, park the car, grab a table, and eat it hot. Would I go back? Sure, but next time, I'm staying put. I had the bacon smash burger and fry's. My first recommendation is order the burger without sauce because it's impossible to eat without numerous napkins and falls apart easily. Get the sauce on the side. The bacon wasn't as crisp as I like it, but it tasted good. Overall, the menu was limited, the food was OK and I don't know if I will return.
