    raw meat

this is typically our go to at least twice a month for dinner. Ordered from DoorDash and look what we got. I took one bite of my Kafta and knew it was raw in the middle. The hummus was not solid. It was runny. The salad was good as usual. My husband Shawarma was hacked up into large pieces also runny hummus. His salad looked good. Basically grossed out so dumped everything! Rather than leave this review, I did try to call, but there was no answer and the mailbox is not set up.

Located in the 'Shoppes At The Lakes' on Newport & Menifee Roads near Stater Bros with plenty of parking and indoor seating. We were looking for a casual Shawarma spot and were recommended to try this place. From their entrees menu (served with rice, 1 dip, and 1 thin pita), we ordered their 'Chicken Shawarma' with 'Mediterranean salad' and 'Baba Ghanoush' dip, and the 'Kafta Kabob' with 'Fattoush salad' and 'hummus'. Both plates were super good and satisfying. The chicken was packed with flavor, but not overwhelming. The Kafta (minced beef) was seasoned to perfection. We also ordered a couple of 'Baklavas' to go. It has a generous walnut filling and is easily some of the best baklava I've ever had. Service was relaxed since they prepare your meal on the spot. They also have a catering menu. Overall, it was a good lunch experience here and will definitely return to try more of their menu.

Just stopped at this gem on our way back home and OMG! Food was so delicious! Freshly made sides- no sogginess to the cucumbers or tomatoes in our Greek salad, grilled to order and what a yummy treat that baklava made in house was! The gentleman tending the store at the time was so friendly and had really great customer service skills. He even gave us one baklava for free with the purchase! Such a great spot to have for lunch. Will definitely stop here again when in the area.

    Falafel was absolutely delicious

WOW!! Best falafel I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. This was my first visit and I will definitely return. Hummus was a 10 out of 10. Kind and effecient staff Super fresh food. Definitely recommend

    Found hair in my fries

Ordered falafels & fries. The fries were tasting good, but as soon as I tried the falafel & tahini (which I've ordered from here before), they lacked flavor/tasted weird. It made me feel gross and nauseous, like the falafel mix or frying oil was old or something. The tahini also tasted off. So I just continued eating the fries, but then I pulled a long brown hair which snapped because it was tangled in the fries. Super disgusting. Based on previous reviews, this isn't the first time. My friend got hummus, and she said it lacked flavor.

My first time here and my first time trying chicken shawarma and I found it dry so I hardly ate my chicken. The rice looks pretty but bland. The parsley salad was good enough. The humus was super yummy. My friend chicken kebab was good and the shrimp (not pictured) kebab was dry. All this plus a drink was $50 something. I paid separately for four pieces of baklava ($15 something) and it was ok. I had better baklava The people were nice and not much ambiance. Service was good.

Surprised to see no one inside! Came in to give it a try and I am not disappointed, got a gyro wrap and it came with fresh veggies flavorful meat!

The Zesty Shawarma reminds us of our time in the Middle East. Yes, the food is that authentic. In fact, it's probably the best Mediterranean food we've had in the U.S. The family who runs Zesty are warm, friendly and very sincere. Several times during our meal, they checked in on us... smiling and wanting to know how our meal was. It was delicious. We ordered some Gyros, Chicken Kabob with saffron rice, along with some falafels. It is also less expensive than some other Humus and Gyro places in Menifee. I've attached our receipt, $38.12 pre-tax. Our serving size I can only say was plentiful and overly generous. You decide. See attached photos. Five Stars!

I am obsessed with Za'atar so I definitely had to try the Za'atar flat bread and it was delicious plus everything else we tried was just as amazing. Right away I decided to look no further and booked them to cater the food for my birthday. The kabobs, beef, chicken shawarma and everything we ordered was outstanding!! Our guest were all super happy and kept asking where we ordered the food from so I'm sure they will also be visiting the place soon. Needless to say the owners are super sweet and helpful!!! Sadly I didn't take any pictures. So busy running around I totally forgot!

We reviewed the menu and there are so many items to choose from, as well as a beer and wine list. We were served a complimentary bowl of chips with a roasted pepper dip, so delicious and fresh. The woman who helped us was so nice and told us everything was made from scratch, how awesome! She explained different foods to us and let us know what they had from the menu and what they didn't have available. We ordered a platter with beef, chicken, hummus, side salad, and rice. We also got the cheese flatbread. I ordered a Lebanese wine, which was not too sweet and more light bodied, very good. The food was so yummy, with the perfect amount of spices/flavors in every bite. Even the little side salad was super flavorful. The Chef/Owner came out to say hi to us and that was such a nice touch! We already have plans to go back and try more menu items. Highly recommend!

I ordered a regular gyro pita sandwich and my husband ordered the gyro pita sandwich with added pork meat and he got it as a combo with rice and a salad. Gyro meat is spot on. Love it - not too soft and not too crispy. The taztziki sauce is so good here but you must love the garlic aftertaste as it will be in your mouth for awhile!! The pita bread is sooo soft and fresh. Overall the sandwich in itself is filling and my husband felt overall full with his two sides. Our total was $29 for the sandwich and sandwich combo.

It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking and there is plenty of seating indoors as well. The ambiance is clean and casual, felt almost like a fast food place. You order at the counter and the workers will bring the food to your table. For food, I tried the chicken souvlaki plate with their fries and salad. I also got the calamari appetizer. The calamari was delicious. Crispy, tasty, juicy. The chicken souvlaki plate unfortunately fell short of my expectations. While the fries were crispy and the salad was good, the chicken was really dry and lacked flavor. My brother got the chicken and steak pita and thought the same thing for both proteins.

If you wanted a side order with that they charged an extra $4 which was a surprise because it's hard to see the $4 up charge on the menu. However, the french fries were very good so I'm not really complaining about that. The sandwich was very tangy and the meat was dry. The beef shawarma plate that we got first came out with crispy crunchy beef that you could crunch into crumbles in your fingers. I sent it back and the second was cooked better but the flavor was extremely off-putting. There was an excessive amount of sumac on top of the meat, much more than is needed. Also , the taste of wine (I'm assuming it was in the marinade) was very strong. I thought that the baba ganoush I received as a side was very tasty and smoky. It did have a large amount of olive oil floating on the top which was a tad overkill but, still, it was tasty. The presentation of food was impressive. I must say that the service was very good. There was one server that was serving everyone in the entire restaurant and she was really on the ball. There was only one person cooking in the back so food was coming out a little at a time at our table of eight people. Some of us were almost done eating before the last person even got their meal. There were people at our table that got served first. Then we would see food going out to other tables before the rest of the people got served at our table. To me this was a little disorganized and it would really benefit this restaurant if they were a bit more organized and had an extra employee or two for lunch time. I guess the main issue we had was that the food was not good and it wasn't served to all the people at the table in a timely manner. All the food did come out hot thanks to our stellar server. Regarding returning to this restaurant, I do not think I will be returning. We have other Mediterranean restaurants in the area that have better food. A+ for the service and probably C- for the food.
