I meant to post this the first time I went, but absolutely have to now!…read more The first time I went I hadn't been to a tailor since I was a kid and was a bit nervous about what to expect as I don't think I always know what "well-tailored" looks like and I'm not the most fashionably knowledgable person to say the least. I was immediately greeted by Ali who treated me kindly, professionally, and guided me through the process with the immense range of clothes I brought from pea coats to jeans to suede jackets. Everything he did was fantastic and looks like it was hand-crafted for me. All prices were more than reasonable and I got all sorts of new things to wear. I should have posted a review then but I absolutely had to after my latest. On Tuesday, I tried on a dress I was intending to wear at a wedding that I leave for on Thursday and noticed to my dismay it did not fit how I wanted and was too low-cut. I immediately ran over in a complete panic to see if it was even possible to fix in... one day. It's a silk/satin fabric with a unique cut so I wasn't optimistic. Ali took it in stride and finished it IN ONE NIGHT. He did an incredible job, was super respectful and considerate when trying to figure out what adjustments to make, and I'm so grateful! Any time I ever have tailoring, I know who to go to and can't recommend him enough. THANK YOU!!!

I brought two pairs of dress shorts to Jacquie to see if she could salvage them as I had gained weight and couldn't wear them. With the summer here, I didn't want to lose these shorts which are part of two important summer outfits I've long-depended on. Jacquie or her assistants did a terrific job on the shorts and saved these outfits! One of the shorts is a rare Hawaiian design. I will bring all my clothes that need alterations to Jacquie and look forward to doing more business with her!

I was amused that this operation is patronized by some Silicon Valley giants such as Ms Sheryl Sandberg-as I've learned reading other testimonials here. Well-if it's good enough for them, it must be good enough for me-albeit on a pay day. Their pricing is-yes, to the untrained eye, a tad pricey-but you get what you pay for. For special items, this is the place to be. I brought a silk dress that needed to be hemmed and the bust adjusted. I regret not remembering the lady who helped me but she was very friendly, gave me her expert recommendation, had a little chat and she sent me away. I did ask for a quote before I left and I felt it was reasonable given the delicate material and significant adjustments. I appreciated having a private room to myself and seamstress. I noticed they had shoes available of varying heights to simulate what it might look like alog with hair clips etc. Theres a platform they have you stand on so they can be at eye level to the hem if needed without crouching too low. These ladies/ folks are the real deal. Pro tip: there is parking available for customers past their shop in case street parking is complicated.

Vogue Cleaners does a great job and they keep their word. I came to Luke with several blazer jackets that had been either ruined or improperly cleaned by Green and Fresh Cleaners on Rengstorff. There were two blazers where Green and Fresh put NEW stains on my jackets, and you can see they were clearly put there with their ironing press, because the press marks are in the exact same place on both jackets. Those jackets sadly were ruined, but there was a cream white blazer that looked grey and dingey after it was cleaned by Green and Fresh, and Luke told me he might be able to fix it. I had one other grey double breasted blazer that had stains that were NOT removed after Green and Fresh "cleaned" it, and Luke also said he'd work on removing those stains. For the cream white one, he told me if he couldn't fix it, he'd waive the charge. A week later I came to pick up my two blazers and lo and behold, the old stains on the grey double breasted blazer were gone! Imagine that, bringing your blazer to be dry cleaned and the stains actually getting removed. Vogue Cleaners successfully got the job done and removed the stains, when Green and Fresh could not. For the cream white blazer, there was still a subtle greyish tint to it, but honestly Luke made it so much better that it's at least wearable again. Because he wasn't able to get it back to its original state, he kept his word and waived the charge. I will be coming back to this shop because they take their work seriously and treat their customers fairly. I've been going to the same dry cleaners Green and Fresh Cleaners on Rengstorff for years and know the family there. As a result even though I frequently noticed subpar results, (e.g. I pay for the dry cleaning but all the original the stains on my items are still there), I just assumed the they had done their best but the stain was "too tough" to remove. I let it go on too long. I even started to question, what's the point of dry cleaning when it either makes the stains worse or my clothes look the same before and after cleaning. The answer is, Green and Fresh don't do the cleaning themselves and don't care if they damage your items. When I talked to the owner's son and asked him how often they replace or check their solvent, he told me he didn't know because he doesn't do the cleaning and brushed me off, even after their dirty solvent had turned my cream white blazer into a greyish white blazer. When I questioned why my blazers looked worse and were damaged from the cleaning process, he gaslighted me and acted as if they had nothing to do with it, like "not my problem." No apology, no offer to waive the cleaning fee or compensate me for the damaged items. It wasn't until I went home, angry and shocked at how I was treated, and then finally came to my senses and went back and demanded the refund because they had not only ruined two jackets but also improperly cleaned the other two, that he gave me the full refund. It was so disappointing, how the entire situation was handled. Fifteen years of trust and repeated business from me-- broken in 15 minutes. Luke, on the other hand, listened to my concerns, empathized with the situation, offered solutions, and knew exactly what I was talking about when I talked to him about the solvent, because he understands the dry cleaning process and manages the machines himself. That's what you need when you go to a dry cleaner. Knowledge, honesty, and a dedication to great customer service. Highly recommend Vogue Cleaners, and especially Luke.

No wonder they have been the best in Mountain View for over 2 years!. I will be back!

The upscale store that sold me the gown had free tailoring, and after four or five tries and my despair that it still didn't fit right and they weren't listening to me, I politely gave up and walked the gown over to Tailor Made. Nina thoughtfully figured out what the issue was and dropped everything to fix it for me, which was pretty complicated and took a few days. She solved what seemed like an impossible problem and what the store seamstress had told me was all "in my head." I will never again have that store tailor anything for me but will instead bring it right over to her. Thank heavens for Nina!!

An apology and even one free hem would have probably placated me (though a fraction of the cost of the dress. Instead she said she was not responsible. I have never used red nail polish in my life but MOST importantly, if I had dropped off the new dress with red polish, the owner (perhaps the person who pinned the dress), would have flagged it!! She and you potential customers know this to be true. I waited an entire year to post this, thinking the owner Marissa mght contact me. They lost my business. BUT I knew I must encourage others to speak up for people who sometimes do not have the words or time to stand for justice. They are very busy and you MUST take your business to Savannah or any other tailor in the area. Again, Tailor Maid deserves to lose your business.

After showing me her expertise in knowing what to do to still make it look good, I knew I could trust her with my wedding dress. Things I never considered, she knew and could advise. For example, I honestly thought my wedding dress was good enough, but after her comment about the hip area for my red dress, I knew I just had to have her look at the white dress as well. I didn't even wait for her to finish the red dress before I came back with the white one, but she worked fast! She actually finished it early.
