Delivery is only $25 locally, which is a bargain. The food is great quality and value. For my last event, we ordered too much food and the chips that came with the salsa tasted fresh for over a week! This place is incredible! My wife and I hosted a party for 40. We called Market Hall. They were all booked up. I then found Ann's Catering. The menu is huge. The food was fantastic. This food was outstanding! They just catered my mother's retirement party and everyone raved about the food. They arrived a half hour early with the platters (thank you), cooked salmon for 50 people perfectly (almost impossible), and delivered warm phyllo triangles that never got mushy and tasted fresh all night. I recently used Ann's Catering for an open house birthday party for 60 guests. The food was delicious, healthy and beautifully presented - and very reasonably priced. Everyone raved about the food - even my husband, who is normally quite particular about his food, thought it was great. Even the delivery person showed up at the early part of the delivery time window, so I had plenty of time to place the platters in the best possible way. I wanted "grazing food" instead of a meal, so my catering order included: tabouleh in lettuce cups, pesto & ricotta stuffed potatoes, tofu summer rolls, chicken satay, smoked salmon roll-ups and spinach-mushroom frittata; I supplemented the catered food with vegetable crudites and fresh fruit. This review is long overdue! I was at a work training that was catered by Ann's, and the food was so good, and the presentation so nice, that I was compelled to find out what else they offered. They ended up catering our wedding last summer! We found out that their prices are the same regardless of the event, which was great for our budget. We set up a time for a tasting and sampled several delicious dishes served up by friendly staff - just overall a very fun and enjoyable experience. We were more than pleased with the food for the wedding! "California fusion" cuisine can sometimes be more about looks than taste, but not with them. The dishes were innovative, substantial, fresh, and DELICIOUS. Definitely nice enough for a wedding. Even the plastic platters looked decent. I needed appetizers for my mother's memorial service repast. I emailed Ann's Catering on a Friday night and was able to secure my order the next day on Saturday. We asked Ann's Catering to cater the food for our 120-person outdoor wedding in Berkeley and were able to feed everyone, with TONS of leftovers, for a fraction of the price of a typical wedding caterer. Their food is extremely reasonably priced and extremely tasty, and especially perfect for a large event because it's cooked to be served at room temperature, so no messing around with chafing dishes or last-minute reheating. The food was delivered on time, beautifully presented. Delivery cost -- for enough food to feed 120! -- was $25 on a Saturday evening. Just for that alone, we will appreciate Ann's forever. We had a bunch of friends help us with setting the food up at a buffet table when it was delivered, served it buffet-style, easy peasy. Our guests raved about the food, especially the charred corn salad and poached salmon with lemon dill aioli. Lots of great vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, too! Rhea at Ann's Catering was really helpful and professional around helping us determine how much food to order and how to provide a good mix of veggies, grains and protein entrees. I've used Ann's for appetizers/pick-up catering for two parties, one was about 20 people and one was about 40 people. They are easy to deal with-- I just went on their website, looked at their current menu, emailed the order, then called with the credit card info. Bam! The food is always good. Personally I really like the stuffed potatoes and the little biscuit sandwiches. I also like the endive boats. I think they have good vegetarian-friendly options, too, compared to a lot of other caterers. They are also pretty reasonably priced, it makes to hard to even consider using another caterer when the food is consistent, well-priced, and hassle-free! read more

Amazing! Is there an option for 5 and half stars? I needed to cater a work related party on budget. This place was recommended. The food was absolutely fabulous. We had a gorgeous fruit/cheese mega platter, 3 kinds of crostini, shrimp rolls, steak slices with horseradish sause (the best!), satee combo (shrimp, chicken, portobellos), vinnegrette potato salad. Food, tax, tip and delivery ended up about 15 bucks per person, but looked and tasted no worse than a recent Claremont event that cost almost 3 times as much. Everyone wanted to know who catered! We used Ann's Catering based on the good yelp reviews for our wedding reception of about 50 people. We went and tasted some of the food and loved it. We especially appreciated that the food could be served room temp or cold. The team from Ann's was very helpful and they dropped off the food right on time and exactly as expected. The guests absolutely raved about the food especially the Fried Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches, the Sweet Potato and Shrimp Cakes and the Grilled Marinated Flank Steak. For dessert, the Lemon Tarts and Hazelnut Tarts were absolutely delicious as well. My mom called me to see if she could come pick up some leftovers of the tarts because she didn't get enough at the party. The only thing I was worried about was that the platters would look inexpensive but my brother made me some really nice wooden serving pedestals and the white trays looked surprisingly nice. They recommend you refrigerate the food after leaving it out for a couple of hours but we left it out for the whole party and we even ate some of it after coming home from the bars at 4am without refrigerating and had no problems! read more

I contracted with Ann's to provide the food for 80 people at my 75th birthday party on September 10th. I could not have been more pleased. Telephone inquiries were handled in an extremely professional manner. We were invited to a private "tasting" of any five items on their menu served in the restaurant for a very reasonable fee, 50% of which was credited to our order. The delivery, presentation, volume and flavors were beyond expectation. Everyone commented on how beautiful and tasty the buffet was. Although Ann's does not provide staffing for your event, they recommended "On Call Staffing" who were fantastic. Their two people arrived on time, were properly dressed, fit right in and took charge and handled everything flawlessly. They set up the bar, manned it along with the buffet feeding 80 people and cleaned up far better than expected. I recommend them with ten stars. I failed to mention how efficient they are and, will surprise you with their prices. I only wish that Ann's would provide some photos of their offerings on their website. It deserves that type of presentation. read more
