Chicken Wings

Ann's has been open for a long time, and we are just now making it in there. Located in a small building right off of S. 1st and Willis. Atmosphere: Quaint little place with lots of Thai memorabilia. Very comfortable booths and temperature. It's a quiet place too. 1 Star. Service: Phenomenal. Oh (sp?) is the husband of Ann (who does all the cooking) and is the only waiter there. He was adorable and thoughtful. He came and talked Dallas Cowboys with us and asked us all about who we were and where we were from. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us. 2 Stars. Food: I don't know where the people with negative reviews mentioning the lack of flavor were eating, but it wasn't where I just ate. We happened to go on a night when they were out of several things, but with a good excuse. They are going to Thailand for a couple of weeks and didn't want to overstock the restaurant. Really wanted spring rolls, but it was no big deal. We did instead get the chicken wings, and for wings with no sauce, these were great! Super crispy and spiced just right. The wife ordered the Mixed Vegetables with Chicken and we got an order of Shrimp Fried Rice to share. I asked Oh what his curry recommendation was, and he said the Red Curry with Chicken. So that's what I ordered. I got mine "hot." There are 5 level of heat that you can order: Mild, Medium, Hot, Thai Hot, and Super Hot. I went dead middle and will definitely go "Thai hot" next time. It had a decent kick to it, but I would have been down for just a little more. The taste of the curry however was outstanding!!! So much flavor. My tastebuds were dancing. The Thai basil in there really adds to it. I ended up pouring what leftover curry I had from my bowl onto my rice and eating it. The Shrimp fried rice was also very good. The perfect consistency with lots of jumbo sized shrimp. My wife's mixed veggie dish was also very tasty. The broth was rich and almost creamy. Really stuck to the palate. 2 Stars. Overall: The place was so dead. We were only one of two couples in the restaurant for the hour and a half that we were there. I will say though, the takeout game was hopping. There were a number of DoorDash types that came in to pick up orders. More people need to go here and keep them packed. They are such nice people and worth supporting. We will definitely go back and try more dishes, because everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Be prepared to wait a while for your meals however. She is cooking alone, and every meal is made from scratch and comes out hot. 5 stars.

Vegetables were fresh and delicious

I have lived in Abilene for eight months, and I regret not finding Ann's Kitchen before. The place is small, but this tiny restaurant's food has not equal in Abilene. We ordered mixed vegetables with shrimp and a mild red spicy curry. The curry was so tasteful that we could identify each ingredient while the vegetables were fresh (some of the vegetables are grown by Ann, the restaurant's owner and cook.) We met Ann, a lovely, joyful lady who is proud of her kitchen and heritage. I loved this place and intent to try the entire menu. By the way, the presentation of its dishes is perfect, and the portions are abundant. The prices are fair, and the diversity of their menu is impressive.

Amazing dishes and small business! We can't stop talking about it, and can't wait to go back!

They refuse to leave egg out of any dish and we'll tell you "not my problem. that's how she cook." Unfortunately, I had assumed other bad reviews of this sort were from a previous employee since most positive reviews are recent. I said "ok what doesn't have egg" "Not my problem... eat vegetables"

Pad See Ew

We order Pad See Ew, Panang Curry & Garlic Pork. Garlic pork actually tasted good, that why they got 1 star. Pad See Ew had no flavor or season of any kind. Not even salt or pepper. Ended up adding soy sauce and chili oil just to be able eat it Panang Curry doesn't even taste like curry. Pieces of chicken, No coconut milk, no veggie, just a sauce which doesn't even taste like Panage. We are second chances people but I don't think it's gonn happen.

I had a pleasant experience dinning here. Their green curry noodles really hit the spot today. It had rice noodles, green curry, bamboo shoots, lime leaf, and chicken. They've always have a relaxing homey atmosphere whenever I've visited. I highly recommend trying this place to any Thai food lover or someone looking to try something new.

Yum woon sen (chicken and shrimp combo) - level 1 but I added more peppers at home.

Got my Thai fix and Abilene has got another delicious restaurant worthy of praise. Got my takeaway norm, pad Thai (got the chicken/shrimp combo) and the yum woon sen (combo again). Scrummy good. Then I spied my all time favorite- a tuk tuk! Ok, it's a kids one but just seeing it made me so happy! Thai karaoke was playing and again, happy memories. I just needed to hear some yelling from the kitchen and I would have be so satisfied. This place is a keeper and will enter my rotation!!

Yum! Great little find in Abilene. I love Thai food. It's a pretty good price too. But a surprising find here :)

Best Thai I've had, and I know for a fact people come from out of town to eat here. If you like Thai food, try this place. It's fantastic.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Anne's. Make sure you add some red pepper to your meal. This adds loads of flavor to your food.

In town for buisness and went to yelp to look at my dinner options. That's when I stumbled upon…read more little ninja. Like any normal Person I click and go straight the reviews and let me tell you I knew right then and there, where I was going for dinner. Another reviewer named JOE told a story of a wonderful little twink behind the counter named Miguel, it intrigued me. Who is this mysterious Miguel? So me and my buddy walk in and who did I lock eyes with? You guessed it, my knight in shining armor, Miguel. I approached him and said "I've heard so much about you", he blushes. I leaned in closer, whispered in his ear "I'll take 2 dragon rolls....miguel". He looks back at me and in the softest voice he told me "don't worry, the drinks on me today". Oh Miguel, I wish it was. But me and my buddy really enjoyed our food, heard the boba teas are delicious. Maybe miguel can boba teas nuts in his mouth.

I hate leaving a bad review especially on a place that I enjoyed previously. Small portion size with big chunky fried pieces. Miso soup was okay, but wasn't packaged well ended up spilling on the ride home. Genuinely didn't enjoy the four rolls we ordered this time. Got the TNT Roll and California Roll we typically order, but didn't live up to the memory. We arrived at the time our order was supposed to be ready, but had to wait over 30 minutes for the pick up order. Floor was pretty dirty inside, but the tables were wiped down well. There are better options for sushi in Abilene. I do think Little Ninja's is comparable to running to the grocery store at this point. On a silly side note, several of the previous reviews highlight the lore and appeal of meeting Miguel at Little Ninja... I think that might be the most noteworthy aspect of this restaurant.
