I have used Service Magic several times now, and this is the first time I have been impressed enough to write a review for anybody. My air conditioning went dead on Monday in the middle of a heat wave! I called Annuzzi, and the owner Saverio said he was able to come to my home the next (Tuesday) morning. The other repair place I called didn't have availability until Friday. Savario was prompt, polite and extremely efficient at diagnosing the problem. He patiently explained what was wrong with the system and showed me which parts needed to be replaced (capacitor & thermostat). When he was working inside the house, he asked whether he should wear shoe covers (only repair person I have ever encountered to actually volunteer doing this). This family owned, absolutely wonderful company deserves every single star and then some. It makes perfect sense that they have a perfect record with Yelp - even filtered reviews. If any company were to be the poster child for perfection on all fronts for Service, Repair, Expertise and Follow Through - it would be this company. I called one other company twice and rec'd zero calls back. I called Annuzzi once and rec'd a call back same day with a date scheduled to come out and fix our problem. Then they called day of to let us know they were on their way. The owner and his brother are both highly professional, knew exactly what the problem was and were able to fix it because they understand efficiency and actually had the items needed to fix our heater on their truck. We cannot convey how much we appreciate them in words alone. They replaced our thermostat, replaced our fuse that had blown out and replaced our heater filter. Our heater is working like a champ now. But the best part is that they took the time to program our heater for us - for me this is a big deal because I get a little intimidated with this kind of thing. I searched Yelp to find a well-rated, local business to fix my busted furnace and came across this one. After finding out the furnace needed replacement due to a cracked manifold, Saverio Annuzzi gave me three pricing options. I choose the most expensive because it was also the most energy-efficient. His crew came out the next week and installed it in one day. They were polite, professional and efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. Saverio came by the next day to check their work and give me my paperwork. My new heater and thermostat work great, and he also gave me the option of using the fan without heat, which I really need to balance the temperature between the north-facing and south-facing rooms. The clincher for my recommendation is that Severio just called me back today (over 1 1/2 months later) to tell me that since I purchased the most energy-efficient furnace, part of its cost is a tax credit. AND, when somebody accidentally threw the switch on the furnace while I was out of town, they came out immediately, found the problem and had the heat back on for my family within a couple hours. Called for a service on a prior heating system installation (granted it was an older system). Was told "they no longer do service calls, but try to take care of prior installations".... But... they have a relatively long lead time, like June 7th. Today is May 25th. That's 13 days of being cold in SF. You may want to weigh this before choosing them for your next installation. With all the construction in SF, there is no room for follow up service calls anymore. Its all about the big jobs. This place is best left to the contractors. read more

Awesome service from Saverio! Our A/C unit stopped working the weekend before an expected heatwave. We called and left a message for repair on a friday late afternoon. My land lord might be a little elcheapo on wanting to change my AC unit but Saverio and his son always keep the unit running. I had a strange and unusual problem to diagnose. The furnace made a loud, high pitched whistling sound when running, but only in the middle of the night or the very early hours of the morning (when repairmen don't come and when we were trying to sleep!). Saverio talked through it with me on the phone, I emailed him a few pictures with my phone, and after a while, he had diagnosed it and came out to fix it the next day. By using the pictures he knew exactly what to bring and it was all done in one trip. The existing flex connector hose was too small and when it was colder and the gas was more dense, the gas made a whistling noise when passing through it. He is smart guy, honest, a very good communicator, and very nice. You can't go wrong using this guy. read more

I left a clear message on their answering machine repeating my name and phone number twice and asked for a call back. Annuzzi Heating never returned my call. I understand that I am calling at a busy time for HVAC contractors but I think its reasonable to expect a call back even if the contractor is not accepting new customers. read more

These guys are terrific! I was negligent and failed to change my furnace filter when it said to, so then, the message reappeared 2 days ago; the filter was just filthy and clogged. So I went to several hardware stores (New Year's Day), then all over the web; this filter is very hard to find at the moment. Finally I found it online, but with a 2 week-delivery delay. In the meantime, I emailed Annuzzi to just ask related questions, but they came over with the filter and installed it TODAY! So now I am all warm and toasty (again); the least I can do is give them a 5-STAR Yelp review. When the furnace was installed back in July 2018, their guy installed it and did a terrific job in just one day. They are super, and like another poster said: they are good people. read more

I called Annuzzi based on the excellent reviews here on Yelp, and I have to say that they met the expectations set. I purchased a home recently that, thanks to changing hands several times and going through a foreclosure, lacked any documentation on the heating system or any record of who had installed it. The technician who came out was friendly and thorough, he showed me the ins and outs of my furnace and we went around the house checking all the vents and figuring out which rooms would have good heat. He was also very honest with me about some optional work that I was considering; he could have tried to convince me that it was necessary but he didn't. I'll certainly be contacting them about any future issues we might have. read more

Some acknowledge my phone call at least would be semi professional. Maybe even think about getting a phone service or receptionist to answer calls. I recently found Saverio Annuzzi on Service Magic and had him over to check out why my heater had stopped working. I'd had PG&E out to re-light the pilot light after some remodeling work I'd had done and the guy couldn't get it to work. He'd pointed out on the heater where he thought the issue was. So, with nothing but a huge sense of dread, I go in search of a heating repair guy. I was given 4 online referrals on Service Magic (on a Friday night) and Saverio was one of the two that called - he called me on Saturday afternoon. (Another guy called me - I missed his call but immediately called back - no reply though) Anyway, Saverio scheduled for Tuesday between 10 and 1 - and he called at 9am Tuesday saying he was free earlier than he thought and could come by at 9:30 - yea! So we met over at the place (in the Mission) and, after I explained where I thought the issue was, he fixed it in 5 minutes...by tapping it with his screwdriver. Apparently the connections were just dirty. He could have totally scammed me - but he didn't. And I really appreciated that. It cost $90 for a house call - but it was worth it. I called a few other places and they were in the low $100s. He's a really nice guy too. I recommend Saverio. read more

Annuzzi Heating was great! We called for an appointment on Wednesday and Saverio came on Friday. Took a look at the furnace and left to buy the part needed. He explained to me about the part that needed to be replaced as it was a recalled product that causes fires. He could have easily lied and tweaked our furnace just to make it work. But he took the time to buy the parts needed and explained what he had to do. Took about 20 minutes and he was out the door! I felt bad because we were looking at our thermostat and we kept getting interrupted by the flooring guys and nosy neighbor. He was patient and super nice! Excellent!! Thank you, Saverio! read more
