I do keep in mind that we came 5 days after their grand opening - we had a party of 3 and were told the wait time was 30 minutes. It was an hour before we were seated - during that time several tables came up but the hostesses did not seem to be aware or were not sure on the process of seating/going down the wait list because people were not seated as soon as tables came open. They gave every party the option of inside or outside, which meant they had plenty of tables open to seat at. However, it was 12pm on a Saturday and we expected a wait. Once we got seated on the patio, our waitress took a while to visit our table. We ordered drinks, she brought them, and then left. We would have loved to ordered then - as seems to be the norm at most restaurants. Once we did order, it took over an hour for us to get our food, and our waitress never visited our table during the wait to check on us. We had pancakes and an egg scramble. The egg scramble came out wrong (the waitress had put in the wrong order) and we had to send it back. I will say, the correct order came out within minutes. As far as the actual food goes, it was decent. I've had much better at other ABE locations. I would give this location some time to hit their stride. I got the impression that most of the staff was very new to restaurant service, so I think they probably just need some time to get things figured out. Really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious and hot. The wait time was long, but worth the wait for the food we ordered considering it was opening weekend. We were so excited to see a breakfast/ brunch restaurant come to town and this one is oh so delicious. We have tried several items on the menu and each dish is exceptionally tasty with large filling portions. The carrot cake pancakes and the cinnamon roll and savory French (holiday menu) toast are amazing. My personal favorite is the shrimp and grits. I have been all over the Southeast evaluating the many shrimp and grits dishes and I like Another Broken Egg Cafe's the best. I highly recommend this establishment. It is fast becoming our favorite place to eat in town. And on top of it all we met the owners who are very friendly, gracious and hospitable people! read more

My family and I went here on a Sunday and it was very busy. We used Yelp waitlist so upon arrival only had about a 5 minute wait which wasn't bad at all. The restuarant isn't equipped for parties over 4. The manager came out and spoke and said they only had 1 table for parties over 4 and if you have 5 or 6 they sit you at a 4 top table with extra chairs on the ends. This was my biggest reason for the 3 star rating. Now on to the food. Again like I said they were busy but it took close go 1.5 hours to get our food. The place isn't a large place so I would expect a kitchen staff to be well equipped to push out food in a timely manor. Nobody in my family liked their breakfast choice and left hungry. It is a new restaurant in our area so I might try them again in a few months and hope they work out the kinks. Sadly not many breakfast place in the area. read more

Except for not being hot, the food was good. Nearly 30 minutes to serve scrambled eggs and grits isn't a winning formula. They didn't bring out our full order at one time (missing English muffin) or the wait would have been longer. To top it off we had to wait for silverware. Full disclosure we went at noon but there was plenty of seating and staff around. Our waitress went through the motions. We barely saw her. Lots of staff members standing around at the register and socializing with their friends who had come in to eat. This place opened with a lot of fanfare and has the advantage of having a liquor license but it will never be what it should be and what Auburn deserves until management cracks more heads than eggs. Really a 2.5 rating but giving the benefit of the doubt since they've only been open a month. Probably won't go back. read more

I love another broken egg, however, I'm really frustrated. I joined the waitlist on the yelp app as I always do. I waited the appropriate amount of time to get to the cafe as it is Mother's Day. I'm waiting and still no text. So I go in and ask if I'm on the list. The lady tells me there is a forty minute wait. I'm like so why do you have a waitlist if the waiting doesn't start until you check in when you arrive. That doesn't make sense. Smh side note you're not supposed to use yelp to check in anymore even though it specifically says it when you call the cafe. They need to get it together. read more

I've been here a handful of times and have never had a problem until today. Their breakfast food is good quality and exactly what you want when eating breakfast. They also have delicious iced coffee. However, today I had one of the worst experiences with restaurant service. Our waitress, Tamira, was not genuine and very robotic. She did not have a conversation with us throughout our entire meal, but instead went through a script when serving us. I heard the same script repeated to the tables around us. When I was first seated, I saw a friend at the table next to us and started talking to her and our waitress charged up to our table and proceeded to begin her serving script and interrupted the conversation. I saw other customers making appalled faces at one another after being served by her too. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I feel so bad for the waitress because she was so amazing, but there's no way for any managerial staff to be as incompetent, narcissistic, and disrespectful as they were today. My friend ordered crab cake Benedict (a usual order for her), but noticed it didn't look the way it usually does, but decided to try it anyway. She tried her food, and as she suspected wasn't to her liking. She simply asked to order a different dish, but the manager (Trey Dorsey) declined her request. If she would've eaten a good portion it would've been understandable, but for the food to have barely been eaten doesn't make sense and seems like very bad business. When asked so speak to another manger he rudely told her it was HER FAULT she didn't like the food...which seems off and bizarre within itself. Either way, she wasn't allowed to get her money back on food not eaten and wasn't allowed to order again (As a black woman). Which is a funny instance because I've been to this location previously and my friend was able to send her food back (after they put pecans in her food and she's deathly allergic (a white woman) with no problem. I keep saying I won't be going back, but this is the VERY last straw. Horrible service on top of HORRIBLE food is a definite NO for me. I have actually visited twice. Today our server Ann was Amazing. And our food was simply delicious. The manager was very warm and engaging as well. Last time I ordered the Lobster Brie Omelette which was as good as I expected it to be. This time I went for the Chicken and Waffles while my friend opted for the Blueberry and Goat Cheese Waffle. Both meals were delicious. We really enjoyed ourselves and there was no wait. We were told that this past weekend they served over 700 guest. Anyway, they found us a table. There is about a 45 to hour wait on Sundays. Waitress was great. Meal service extremely slow. At least 45 minutes to get food. Food was good, but not worth the wait. Saw a bus boy drop the cloth used to clean tables on the floor, then pick it up and use it again. Husband said pancakes at Cracker Barrel better than this place. Would I go back?
