My mom and I grabbed lunch here because we needed to update her phone and they have good wifi (from what my nephew told me). She had a half chicken salad sandwich and country potato soup while I had the turkey club and the tortilla soup. All the food came out as ordered and was very tasty. I could only finish half my sandwich, it was so big. My soup was properly spicy, moms was rich and chunky. The only problem was in trying to pay with anything other than cash. The cashier kept saying "It's on our end," but after trying ApplePay with my watch as well as the physical card, I was worried I would have to wash dishes, so I just resorted to coin of the realm. That seemed to work OK, but it was so long that I just told them to keep the change. We got mom's phone updated and synced her Apple Watch to it without any hiccoughs. This McAlister's is under new management, and has greatly improved! The staff are so friendly, and are happy to greet you and take care of you. She brought our food to us at our table & I don't think I have ever met a nicer person! She was smiling and happy, which isn't something you see everyday when people are at work. Love the sandwiches! Had been coming here for a while until Covid when they took a huge downfall. I had always loved the sandwiches and even the kids pizza but after Covid it just wasn't the same. Don't waste your time going to the Auburn location. The kitchen staff apparently has no idea what items are supposed to go on their sandwiches because they got my order wrong 3 times! First time it must have gotten swapped for an entire different sandwich because absolutely nothing about it was right. The second time the bacon was still missing and they left the sauce on it that I specifically said I did not want. Third time they forgot my pickle which was missing all 3 times. Ironically the pickle is supposed to COME WITH every order so I shouldn't have had to reiterate it as much as I did. It's honestly a big reason why I wanted a sandwich in the first place. I assumed it was in there after making such a fuss but to no surprise, I got back to my work just to discover a pickle less sandwich. I was very upset. Will not be going back. My wife and I ate here almost every day . We have always enjoyed the food but the customer service has never been that great. Well now we actually look forward to eating there since they hired the most friendliest the most genuine person that we have ever been so blessed to meet. She always greets us as we walk in the door and she always has a smile on her face. There are two registers, but when Jannah is working, we will wait in her line even if the other line is an occupied. She always makes us feel special and we look forward to seeing her. I love McAllisters and so does my wife. We went here on Sunday 11/19 around 5:15pm and there were 3 parties there. We ordered 2 spuds, 1 sandwich, and a side salad. We waited for 31 minutes before food came out. The sandwich was ice cold and did not have sauce on it. I asked the lady at the front about it and she seemed too concerned with her phone to really help. My wife grew up here and frequently ate here all through college and she said this was hands down her worst experience at McAllisters she's ever had and I agree. We won't be coming back to this one until management gets this place back in order because all the girls working up front were on their phones constantly and everything was moving at a snails pace. read more

Very disappointed today! Sept 11, around 5:30 pm My husband and I are frequent customers and at least 3 to 4 times a week that we would have our early dinner here at Auburn. But lately for weeks now we have observed that the sandwiches and salads are not that good as it used to be. The servings are getting smaller, the grilled chicken salad changes every time I order, not consistent in using the same green, Mac and cheese is dry if not overcooked. Always NO LETTUCE due to an allergy to the protein contained in lettuce. Anyway I didn't sit down to eat until 930PM and when I opened my box there sat my nemesis LETTUCE. I immediately called only to look it up as the phone was ringing and realized they were closed. But just as I was about to hang up and plan on a call Ana picks up. I explained my dilemma expecting to return it tomorrow for the correct sandwich just making it known that it wasn't correct and I will be there tomorrow. Ana apologized and offered to not only remake it but deliver it to my house. I told her she didn't have to, but she wanted to make it right. Talk about ABOVE AND BEYOND!! The soup itself was mediocre, but my poor delivery driver had to walk basically a block in hurricane-level rain due to Sally, so 5 stars for the dedication. The people working here were kind of awkward but nice. They made everything as easy as they possibly could in getting our food separately and delivering all of that to the same table. You'd think they'd actually be used to this in a college town. McAllister's feels like a less commercialized extension of Panera. They have such a huge selection of good sandwiches and cookies but they don't have hot tea! They also have gigantic baked potato entrees, which I wouldn't recommend trying unless you are really, really hungry. My meat eating friends seem to enjoy the sandwiches, too. Good food and not too expensive. This particular McAlister's Deli location has good service and is very quick with the food. McAlister's is famous for two things, their baked potatoes and their sweet tea. I do certainly enjoy the sweet tea, but I've haven't had the baked potatoes. I tend to enjoy their sandwiches and wraps when I am there. These things are huge! I also really like their potato salad for my side item. Walking into this deli I had high expectations. Nice look and menu. Total fail by the manager and staff. After ordering two sandwiches and a salad, we sat down and waited... and waited... and waited... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I finally got up after half an hour to see if they lost our order. I brought my order number with me and the manager's response was, "it's always busy like this on Sunday's." Okay, I managed a food service operation before If its ALWAYS busy on a certain day/time, then you bring in more staff. Anyway, they finally brought our order out about 10 min later. My wife liked her salad, but I was very disappointed in my Reuben. I'm a huge sauerkraut fan and I couldn't see or tasted any on my Reuben. We were running late by now, so there was no way I was returning it.
