Food was fine, not memorable. Service was an absolute dumpster fire. Waiters take orders on tablets. Ours couldn't hack it and spent a full 10 minutes taking orders for 6 of us where we each repeated our orders 2-3 times to get it right. It was the most bizarre slow moving disaster I've been a part of. Maybe it's a new system but it felt like pulling teeth to order a waffle. Waiter also gave us a spiked coffee when we ordered a non-alcoholic one. When we brought that to his attention, he didn't take responsibility, didn't offer to get us the right drink, and still charged us for the spiked one. It's so good, the food is quite delightful and me and my family had an amazing time. The service is great, you get seated, wait for a few, and get everything set up. Now, it is quite loud in there because so many people are in it, so I would recommend eating at the outdoor tables for a nice view of the fountain and everything (at least in fishers) I definitely recommend this restaurant! read more

We had breakfast this morning at another broken egg and it was an overall very solid experience. We sat outside and it was a nice patio and tables. We were there at off peak time during week, but there was no wait, which was nice. They had some amazing looking sweet treats that were hard to resist, but I ordered a got sausage, cheese, spinach omelet. It was very good. It came with potatoes, which were cooked really well and crispy, and two pieces of toast. Overall, I left feeling full and happy. I started this review process by reading the other reviews because honestly I am skeptical of these reviews after having a really bad breakfast. First and foremost - I have to ponder - how much in advance did they prepare some of this food. The biscuit and the gravy I had was microwaved...a lovely spongy biscuit...not flaky like freshly baked biscuits are. And for sure the gravy showed signs of being reheated...and you could see the seperation of the ingredients...which was just yucky to look at. But even more yucky to taste. Additionally I had bacon which was not crispy but more like a chunk of thin sliced leather belt. A serious disappointment. And as a side I asked for a set of 2 flavored pancakes. I chose the bourbon flavored pancakes...they have pecans and bananas swimming in this bourbon sauce. When I say swimming...I meant the poor things had drowned. They were served with a small amount of what I suspect was syrup...but honestly the sauce on these pancakes took over the plate and there was no room for another speck of anything. I am not sure if this would be improved with offering the sauce in a small container on the side. But these pancakes were overwhelmed. So, I chose this place and it was on me. I made a huge mistake in choice. Just a few blocks in any direction on 116th street you can get great breakfast. I have a feeling many people felt the same as I left noting a few plates I saw were filled with food. For me - if you are going to charge folks...any price but at least 17 bucks a person? Came here twice over a two month period. Ordered the same meal: Traditional Day Starter, over medium with sausage/bacon, fresh fruit/plain grits and an English muffin. The service on both visits was quick, friendly and accurate. Both the waitress and the waiter got the items on my order correct and struck a good balance between checking in and giving us space. The atmosphere is Pleasent and you can easily hold a conversation. Nice place :) I like ma' eggs, so let's start there. Both times I ordered over-medium eggs and both times they were very much over-easy. We had a great experience at another broken egg cafe! We arrived at 10:30 on a Saturday and we're sat quickly. Since we were first timers here they treated us to beignets for our appetizers! They were hot and delicious and the marmalade they were served with was tasty too. I got the cinnamon roll pancakes and they were so good! Topped with icing and fresh fruit it is definitely a sweet tooth breakfast. But I like how it was served with eggs and bacon. The entire experience (despite my remarks) was unremarkable. I didn't know this, but first timers are given a small plate of beignets; crispy-fried, powder sugary beignets. And they were delicious. I imagined my friend would find something delicious. He did - the biscuits and gravy. Me, on the other hand? Oh, just a little pancake flight. One plain buttermilk, one berry, and one blueberry goat cheese. And, yes, this came with eggs and a side of breakfast meat. I chose the sweet ham. I ate a third of the delicious feast and then boxed up the rest to enjoy later. This was our second time here. The first time was on campus in West Lafayette a few years back. I'm glad our second visit didn't disappoint. Our waitress, Yadeara (sp?) was the best!!!! It was a joy having her as our waitress/server. She was attentive, full of smiles and laughter as we interacted with her. Just overall, she was great! Even the GM, Garrett, and manager made sure they stopped by and checked in to make sure everything was going well. You don't see that very often in restaurants. That there made our dining experience that much more worth spending our money. The food was right on. The temperature was good on everything. My Floridian omelette was different. I was a bit curious that it was a bit busy, but all the flavors meshed well together. And those little country fried, perfectly crunchy potatoes are the shat!!!!!! Yes, I said it! My peach Bellini was good as well. Oh, I dare not forget the beignets. I could use a little less powdered sugar, but overall those were a hit too!!! Wow this place was hopping! Make sure you save your place in line on their website and check in as soon as you get there. While I waited, I grab their pomegranate mule at the bar. It was a refreshing way start to the day. After having to wait probably around 20 minutes (it was Valentine's Day weekend), I was pretty hungry. Luckily the mixed berries pancakes I ordered came out quickly. The pancakes were huge! The meal also normally comes with your choice of meat side (I got baked bacon) and two eggs. A charming chain restaurant that doesn't seem at all like a chain. Our service was delightful, our food was very good, and our overall experience made us want to go back immediately. This is a great addition to the Fishers breakfast restaurant scene. But first, before I go farther, I must mention the bacon. It was fantastic! I prefer mine a bit more chewy than usual so try to order it this way. Because it's thick-sliced and baked, when it arrived it looked a bit more done than I like, but when I tasted it, this wasn't a problem -- it was chewy, flavorful, and hauntingly good, the kind that makes you remember and savor it for hours afterward. Sometimes I have trouble picking an entree, but it's because I can't decide what food I'm in the mood for, or nothing sounds particularly good. With this menu, there were so many of my favorites, and potential new favorites, that I truly couldn't decide. I finally settled on the Irish Coffee pancakes, since they're seasonal so won't be available for long, with scrambled eggs (and they offered to add cheese to these), and that bacon. (Yum!) The pancakes were delicious, although the whipped cream, advertised as "Spiked Irish whipped cream," tasted just like any other whipped cream, so that was a bit disappointing. But since, really, any whipped cream is good whipped cream, it wasn't much of an issue. The side of scrambled eggs (with cheese) came out way too runny the first time, so I had to send them back and ask that they be re-done firmer. The second attempt was much, much better. The only disappointment was that they came out with much less cheese on them this time. But, similar to the whipped cream, I was okay anyway. I will mention this to them the next time, and hope the topping of cheese is a bit more generous. As mentioned earlier, the bacon was the real star. It came with my meal, but I think the next time I may order an additional side just so I make sure I have enough! We topped off the meal with a pitcher of Apple Pie Mimosas. We had no idea what to expect, but it sounded like fun. They were good. We'll try some other flavors, and a Blood Mary or two first, but would definitely order this again. I told our server, though, that I thought they were missing out on an opportunity by not having an option to add a little Fireball to these. The cinnamon would have been a nice addition. One other thing that worked out exceptionally well was the Yelp! waitlist. We put our name in as we left the house, figuring it would take us about 10-15 minutes to drive over, park, and walk in. Our estimate was right on point, such that we walked in, announced ourselves, and were immediately shown to a table while a few others stood and waited. I love service like that! As I'd said above, I can't wait to go back again! I'm already checking out the menu to decide what I'll have the next time. The point of this review is mainly to give a shout out to the "City Grits" from Another Broken Egg! These are hands-down the best grits I've had in Indy. Seriously. Can't wait to go back for more and spent an entire day afterward thinking about them. The City Grits have Gouda, bacon, green onions and tomatoes, and really could be a meal if you ordered a couple of bowls. I also ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich with eggs scrambled + extra gravy and a Strawberry St. Germaine mimosa pitcher for the table. Everything was delicious, but the grits were SPECTACULAR! Joining the wait list on Yelp on the drive over meant our group only waited about ten minutes once we arrived before getting a table! Much better than the 35-40 minute wait time people coming in after us were given. I also appreciate the general manager, Garrett, for coming out and personally seeing to my friend's eggs being poached hard after coming out poached soft the first time.
