There is always a wait so make sure you put yourself on the list on the weekends. Everything we has was amazing except the beignets. They had a weird orange marmalade sauce and they were super thick! But the cinnamon roll pancakes are to die for! Must get them! The mimosa was also delicious! Shrimp and grits were great as well but I'm not sure if it was worth spending the extra few dollars for lobster since there weren't that many pieces. May as well get shrimp for a dollar or two less. read more

I ordered the sausage and biscuits and with the two eggs and sausage and potatoes. The eggs were cooked over medium and came out over medium!!!! The sausage and buscuit was awesome. (Still wonder why restaurants pluralize biscuits when it's only one!) Visited this location instead of the Ridgeland location for New Years Day. We figured the wait will be not be as long as the Flowood location. We still waited close to an hour but the expected time was for 90 minutes so we were happy to get seated earlier. Realized they had a waitlist on Yelp and wish I had put in for it prior to going so make sure you place your name on the waitlist. They have good COVID measures as there was ample spaces between tables. The spacing was more than the 6 feet from the next table and the booth caddy corner from us. I ordered a coffee with a shot of Baileys. Pretty nice that they have all sorts of cocktail options. We started out with the beignet. It was just a tad over cooked but the inside was still soft. It comes with a marmalade for dipping. My husband had the Banana foster pancakes which came with eggs and sausage. He also ordered the City grits which was creamy. It is made with Gouda and the toppings were good. The bacon was crunchy. He enjoyed his entree. I ordered the Eggs Blackstone Benedict and requested to have fried chicken instead of the ham that comes with it. I also opted to upgrade the grits to the City grits which was creamy and flavorful. I had an issue with the eggs on the Benedict which weren't poached and was more like medium hard boiled eggs. I ate it nonetheless as I'm not a fan of returning food to the kitchen unless it's just awful. I pointed it out to the waitress who asked if I had requested for the eggs to be runny. I told her that I've never had eggs Benedict with boiled eggs because it is traditionally poached which means it's runny once it is broken. She said they always make it this way (see picture). I asked if this medium soft boiled is indicated on the menu. She thought it was but couldn't point out where. I have a picture of the menu (see attached) and it says poached and noted in asterisk that this item offered is undercooked and that consuming undercooked meat can increase the risk of foodborne illnesses, etc. This is to say that if you're used to a traditional style Eggs Benedict, make sure to tell them you want the traditional runny poached eggs not hard boiled eggs. I hope they will either indicate that they don't make it with poached eggs or make sure their servers ask if the customer wants the eggs a particular way. I hate to point out something so minute but if you're a Benedicts fan or have seen the proper way of making poached eggs, you'll know. She tried to save it but no. Nice try though. Lol. Still a good option for breakfast. If Yelp had an option for halves, I would give them a 3 1/2 stars. They have a varied selection of breakfast food and the cocktails are definitely a plus if you want mimosas, Bloody Mary or Kailua or Baileys in your coffee. The food was great the waiter Jacob was awesome and the ambiance was good. We sat outside and with the fan and air blowing it was very pleasant. I ate before taking a picture. The only drawback I have is the hostess who sat us, seated someone else before us, although we were there first. When it was brought to their attention, they stated we had to be placed on a waitlist. Y'all, this is so much better than the Renaissance location. (Side eye) Service is great (I seem to only get the server Infinity so imma keep asking for her each time) Food tastes so much better and the drinks are delicious! The dining room setup is really nice and they have outside seating as well. This will probably become my regular spot for breakfast. They are new but I'm proud of them. The service was great! The food was better than it had been. I wish they would have more options without pork ingredients but they offered a turkey sausage link as a substitute. There wasn't one omelette with tomatoes that didn't have pork.
