Nice place, but spotty service (even by today's standards), and mediocre fare. It's not real bad, but not real good. Their proximity to Huntsville Hospital and other shopping/residential areas helps. Nice outside seating is a plus, but I'm hesitant to recommend it to anyone. The menu is very nice with a good range of items. We started out having a bit of a wait getting served, and then we wanted to try the beignets, but they forgot them when they crossed up our order. They wanted to try to have us wait on them and then give them to us to go. That way they stayed on our bill and it didn't have to be corrected. A dish known for its flavor served hot and you want to put it in a bag for me to walk around with so I can eat them later cold and dried out. No thank you. We order typical breakfast food with bacon, eggs, fruit, potatoes, and I upgraded to the andouille sausage. The sausage wasn't bad. The rest was truly mediocre. I took my out of state family here because of the gluten free pancakes. I was told that often gluten free items have a grainy texture. Another Broken Egg's were not this way. THIS WAS AT THE LOCATION ON PELHAM AVENUE IN HUNTSVILLE, AL. My daughter wanted to treat me to breakfast for my birthday. When we arrived, we requested to be seated in a corner of the restaurant that wasn't as crowded but we were told there were not enough people in the party to sit there. We then asked to be seated outside. The host seemed to be irritated with our request and he just walked off and left us at the front wondering if we should have followed him or not. He seated us and we were pleased with the location. As we perused the menu we noticed that three different servers were attending other customers yet no one even acknowledged our presence. Was in Huntsville, Alabama for a week. Wanted to see what the local food spots were like. Came across Another Broken Egg and decided to give it a try. There were 6 of us, and everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the Mediterranean tator tots as well as the city grits. The grits were ok but the tots were delicious! Service is okay but the biggest issue I have is the changing tables. They are completely inaccessible unless you're taller than the the average person. I needed to change my baby's diaper and I couldn't change it at the restaurant. The table when opened was above my shoulders. I'm 5'2 which isn't particularly that short. My husband had to walk across the street back to the car to change our baby's diaper. Completely ridiculous and unnecessary for us to have to do. The Another Broken egg on Carl T Jones is way better especially if you have kids. If you have kids I wouldn't recommend coming here especially if they're still in diapers. read more
